So, these aren't your typical Keens. The toe box is much narrower than this brand usually makes. That being said, the toe box on this shoe is more like regular shoe. What I usually like about Keens is the large toe box. Especially for hiking. There's no pressure at all on your toes while going down hill with this brand. So when I first tried this shoe on I instantly thought they wouldn't work. But I gave them a chance. I've been hiking with them several times and I'm wearing them on a backpacking trip next month. These are great hikers and I actually like that they're a a little narrower in the front. I feel like there's less room for movement so there's less room for blisters.

My husband loves them. He wears a 10.5 medium, has sort of a flat arch. He says they are easy to get on, don't rub anywhere, even the ends of the toes and likes how they look. Hefty enough for a hike, and flexible enough for everyday.

After trying several athletic shoes and orthotics, and getting no relief for my arch issues and plantar fascists, I decided it was time to try a hiking shoe. I ordered the Merrell Ventilator, Keen Targhee II and Keen Voyageur. The Keen Voyageur won the award, in my opinion, for the most supportive, cushioning and best arch support of all the shoes. They are light weight and the olive is a great color. The Moab Ventilator didn't offer enough cushioning and arch support and the Targhee was too high and rubbed my ankle.

Instantly comfortable--the heel has a very gentle, soft (but durable) construction as if it was already broken in. I bought these as walking shoes for an international trip, and they provided excellent arch support for long days of walking. In brown, the leather and the sole sort of blend together which makes the toe less prominent (makes it look more casual vs. sport).

Love the comfort, style and color of this slip on shoe - perfect for travel and everyday wear. The sole is soft yet firm enough to support all day wear. I have a black pair, and have been very pleased that the "blue" pairs well with light and dark denim, navy, tan and white summer wear. I also enjoyed the ease of ordering from Zappos' phone application.
