Overall:

I was looking for winter boots, and after reading several reviews, decided to try this Keen style. The boots are comfortable,and keep my feet warm. The tread is good-I've worn them in snow and on ice. I have room for thick socks, and can use my orthotics if I want to-the Keen insert is comfortable too. I can tuck my jeans or slacks in, or wear the boots under them. I'm pleased with my choice of boots and with the service at Zappos. (My first time ordering here.)Every customer service person I talked to was very friendly and helpful and the shipping is fast!

I was looking for a comfortable and functional boot to pull on and zip easily when I take the dog out in the snow. We get lots of snow here in Northeast Ohio downwind of Lake Erie so boots are essential. They\'re comfortable and stylish. They have the typical Keen wider toe which is perfect. Zappos service was excellent as usual. I love ordering from Zappos as your shoes or boots are then in 2 days.

Traveling to Santa Fe in January is a yearly highlight, but.... The cold, wet feet have kept me so chilled in the past, I decided to order a boot. I recently had purchased a pair of Keen clogs and cannot take them off my feet. Therefore, I saw the waterproof keen boot and knew the comfort (great arch support) would most likely be the answer to my walks in the snow. I wore them everyday (4) in Santa Fe and loved them. The zipper smoothly zips and there is ample room to tuck in my jeans. My feet were so warm and the boot is extremely comfortable. I wear a 8.5 or 9. I wear a trouser sock with my boots because the lining is already so warmth producing that thick socks are not necessary. I ordered the 8.5 which have been perfect. Tromping to the square in Santa Fe each day as it snowed was a delight with my warm, comfortable boots. I highly recommend the Keen Winthrop Waterproof boot.

Best boots ever! I have only taken them off to sleep, since I got them! A bit tight across the toes at first, but loosened up after a couple of strolls. These are great for stomping around in the slushy Pittsburgh winters. And they look really cool! I feel like a sci-fi action hero when I wear them with my jeans tucked into the top.

I originally bought this boot in a 9.5, and had to return it because it was too small in the foot and shaft. I tried some others, and didn't like them, so I gave these a second shot in a size 10. I'm so glad I did! These boots are great.

I love this shoe. I very much like the thinner sole that I can feel the earth through....although I wouldn't go for hikes in it. It did stretch more than I thought it would...so you might go a half size down,even if it feels a bit tight at first. The laces are cute but decorative...in other words, you can't make the shoe tighter with them. That said, I love them....the look, the comfort and the material.

Love these shoes! Good support, easy to slip on and off and they look classy with jeans or slacks. The color of "madder brown" is a bit misleading as they are actually more of a light reddish color. That turns out to be a good thing because the color is neutral and goes with everything.

Probably the most comfortable shoes I have - other than slippers. They are warm and have good support and cushion. I normally wear a size 8 1/2, but got a 9 in the boots and they fit fine, particularly with heavy socks which I would wear with snow boots. Awesome - I highly recommend them!

Great, all purpose, comfortable shoes. Took them to Mexico with me where it rained non-stop for a couple of days. These are the only shoes I had with me that did not get soaked up beyond being able to wear!

What a find!! Absolutely love these boots.. They are a little roomy, I typically run about a 7 1/2 (but often need an 8 just because of the width and I don't like my shoes tight). The 7 1/2 fits just perfect, leaving a little extra for thick winter socks and tucking in your pants for the snow.. The best part though, they are soooo comfortable, like wearing your sneaks all day! Also Zappos is wonderful - as I originally ordered the 8 - and they couldn't have been more perfect about sending the 7 1/2 for me to try before mailing back the 8. No extra charges to me! Love the boots, Love Zappos!!

These boots are expensive, but worth every penny of it. I have worn them on long hikes and they have been extremely comfortable from the get go. In most boots I have a lot of trouble keeping my feet warm, but not with these. They seem to breath really well. The first pair I ordered had a little ripple in the lining of the toe that I thought would be an issue on long hikes. Zappos sent another pair the next day with no problem. They emailed me a bar code to print out and attach to the box so I did not have to pay shipping. Gotta love their service.

I love my keen whispers! They are so comfortable and sporty looking. I got them to go on vacation. I walked around sightseeing all day and they were great. I have another pair of keens but they are kind of "blocky" looking. These are more feminine and attractive. I highly recommend these shoes.

These are super warm and great for cold, snowy weather. The base is a bit wide and clunky looking but they get the job done.

I received these boots as a Christmas gift from my husband and I love them! They are lightweight and very comfortable. They are not big and clunky like other snow boots I've had in the past. I can comfortably wear them all day. I live in Wisconsin and we get quite a bit of snow. My feet have stayed warm and dry. They do run a bit small. I ended up with a half size larger than usual.

Great boot. Instantly comfortable and super warm. Didn't need to break in, wasn't too stiff. Can wear with trouser socks and toes are still warm.

I searched everywhere (stores and online) and finally chose these boots. I love them! I take an 8 1/2 but purchased a 9 1/2 (I have wide feet) and they fit great- a little loose but with winter socks (I wear two pair) they're perfect. They have kept my feet warm and are very comfortable! (I would def. recommend getting at least a half size up)

OMG. These boots are hip, warm and comfortable. The leather is rich, substantial, well stitched, and a beautiful deep warm brown color. The fit is perfect...true to size. The comfort level is over the top. I love these boots.

Comfortable from day one, warm ,and the sole has great traction in the snow. Runs small but that was highlighted in the info prior to purchase, so the correct size could be ordered. (the question below regarding true to size is hard to answer because of that) Highly recommend.

Nice boot--one of those "so weird it's really cute" shoes. I wear an 11, and am here to say that it definitely runs small. Because the toebox is nice and roomy I decided I could live with it--and I can--but it works much better if I wear a thinner pair of socks. Warm enough for moderately cold weather. Heel slips, too; typical for boots, but if that really bothers you, beware. Has a zipper, but I don't use it; they are easy to slip on and off, which I prefer.

I love these boots. I had wanted Keen Chamonix to replace my old ones but they're out of stock in size 10. These waterproof pinecone Winthrop boots are incredibly comfortable and they're pretty cute, like dad's fishing boots with flair! I mean, I wear them with skirts and I wear them with jeans rolled up and they're not like everybody else's trendy Uggs or knee highs. An outdoorsy man friend told me they're "kick-ass!" I've had some foot problems and these boots have excellent arch support and are roomy enough for wide feet, making for steadiness and comfort from the first moment. Some might not like the looseness in the heels but I'm used to Danskos and I don't notice it much. Also, these boots could potentially be sock eaters. I wear a thin tight pair over a thicker pair of cotton socks and they work just fine. I like to go out hiking in the hills in them, freely walking through puddles, or I wear them all day working in a casual job that requires mostly standing and walking around. My feet are very happy in them! After the Chamonix boots, they\re not quite as dainty and lightweight for dashing around quietly: they're a bit clunkier. Still, I think they're awesome!

I bought these because I have worn Keens in the past and I know they have good support. I wanted to be able to walk 3 miles in snow and slush and these are just the boots for that. They're very warm and comfortable. I wish they had a tiny bit more arch support but as is they're way better than any other winter boot I have.

Love the boots...they have great support-very warm and waterproof. I have always been super resistant to boots since I love the support of my running shoes but these boots are a very close second to my running shoes and the best boots I have tried in a very long time.

This will be the 3rd pair of the Richmond style Keens I have owned. Since I have started wearing these shoes my feet have stopped hurting after work. They are great! The only con is they only last one year for me, but I do wear them everyday for about 10 hours so I figure its a great investment to have feet that don't ache. I have other Keens as well and they all are super comfortable.

Have heard good things about Keens so I was in the market for a pair of winter boots and decided to give them a try. I am happy with my choice. They are comfortable and felt they were true to size. I also like the style and the back is cute. The lining inside felt a little itchy but have worn longer socks and that works just fine. Have been a great fan of Zappos and find this is the best way to shop to find the brands I want. Wonderful!

Bought these for a recent trip to Costa Rica and was so glad I did. From relaxing at the beach to hiking in the mountains, these were the only shoes I needed. And aside from some initial chafing (which was not enough to cause an actual blister), they were extremely comfortable. While not the most stylish, I would highly recommend these as a versatile, comfortable sandal that is perfect for traveling.
