Overall:

I love these shoes, but tried them one when they arrived. I could only stand in them for about 2 minutes before the angle of the heel caused pain at the ball of the foot. Seems like I could have tried one of those foot petals for extra cushion, but decided that if I had to add something for comfort, I can't wear these to work where I stand for about six hours.

Love this shoe! I'm really tempted to buy it in another color. However, be warned, I am normally a 9 1/2 to 10 and I did have to exchange the shoe and get a 9, which fits like a dream.

Wow! If all Joan & David heels are this comfortable, J&D is all I will ever buy. I got these in Brown Multi Croco and they will look great with brown or black, which makes them very versatile. They look cute in the black jeans that I have on now and will look fabulous with a skirt. Buy them!

The style of this shoe is great! They are also very comfortable. They do run half a size larger than normal. I normally wear a size 8. I ordered a size 7.5 and they fit perfectly. Thank you Zappos!

These are officially the coolest, highest and sexiest shoes I have ever owned! And I have Louboutins and many other designer shoes. The heel height said "no way Jose" at first to me, as I have major foot pain and can't normally wear high heels anymore (of course that's all I want to buy!), but they are well padded for a heel and while not as stable as a sneaker obviously they are not bad to walk in and feel fairly solid underfoot. They did not cause instant pain in the ball of the foot, like most high heels do to me. And they are a very sexy platform. The ingenious high platform makes the very high heel much more comfortable. These are not walk 5 blocks on concrete shoes, but for a cocktail party or evening out, very doable. Well-made, nice leather. The forefoot could use a little stretching (I have a high instep), which some shoe stretch should take care of. They run true to size unlike many designers these days. I wear an 8 and the 8.5 which is what I ordered is a 1/2 size too big, so I am exchanging them. Gorgeous and for the high heel challenged, a real find. Thank you Joan & David and Zappos.com!

These boots are very beautiful and true to size. The measurements given on the website are accurate. I wear 8.5 for most (Peter Kaiser, Paul Green) and 9 for Donald Pliner. For people with calves on the bigger side (runners, dancers, bikers, etc.).

These boots are true to size. I wear a size 8.5 in Peter Kaiser and Paul Green. I wear a size 9 in Donald Pilner. I run and most boots would not fit my left calf, but these do. The measurements are accurate. The boots are nice and made with nice soft leather. They are also comfortable.

I absolutely love these shoes. They are very comfortable for the height of the heel and the look is stunning. These are great to dress up a basic black dress and they look fab with jeans, too.

Zappos and I have become the best of friends. I have ordered at least 5 times in the last 3 months. Shoes always arrive in good condition and on time. I love these Joan & David's Zarza. The fit is perfect. I always have good luck with Joan & David shoes. They are a bit pricey, but for me it's worth the money. I have the brown and grey as well. Very comfortable shoes. They added some extra support on the bottom to give it that cushion feel. I would highly recommend these shoes to those women like me who are not into high heels. Looks really good with suits!

Gorgeous! I Ordered Natural for summer and am thrilled. Casual enough for everyday. I wore them with walking shorts and a tank. Killed it!! Comfortable and on trend, must buy.

Love them! Best summer shoes I ever bought! So Soft and, believe it or not, very steady to walk on. Sure they cost a bit, but they are worth every penny. You will not need another pair for a long time. All leather, even the lower sole is real leather! Quality without breaking the bank.

I ordered these sandals in 7; I am a true seven, they are larger and wider, so if you buy them order 1/2 size smaller. They could have more cushion, not for walking. My feet (bottom) get sore. I really liked the style.

I got these shoes a few minutes ago, put them on and must say these are the most comfortable high heeled shoes I've ever had in my life. I am not a high heel person and I have planus (flat foot). The shoes are very sexy, have very high heels, and look absolutely gorgeous.

This is a beautiful shoe! I don't usually wear a heel this high, but it's such a pretty shoe that I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad that I did! It's surprisingly easy to walk in, and quite comfortable. Even my husband told me my shoes were pretty, and he never remarks about my clothing or footwear.

I love these shoes! So comfortable and very fashionable. They go with my dresses as well as capri jeans. The metal detailing is beautiful and not overstated. The leather is very soft and looks expensive. I would highly recommend these!

Winner! I love high heeled shoes, but they must be comfortable and easy to walk in, light, not too pointy, and incredibly cute. Hence me and Zappos are like this (picture crossed fingers). These are great. Got both the beige and the black. They do run big but it works - I usually buy an 8 for the comfort factor. These 8 are big, but a 7.5 reduced the comfort, so my advice is go with your normal size, and don't size down.

Sexiest Snake Stiletto - This shoe is so sexy it should come with an R rating! Absolutely beautiful shoe, but not the most comfortable; although there is a 1� platform, it still feels like you walking on a 4� stiletto. And for the 4 inches, I think a little padding for the ball of the foot would be great. The quality is pure Joan and David and the color of the snake print is stunning. I have some trouble with high (3� + heels), but it if you’re one of the lucky gals that can wear high heels with no problem… I highly recommend this shoe.

I love these sandals. These are very, very comfortable and very stylish. The sole is nice and grippy, too. The leather is of high quality as one would expect from J&D. I wear them almost every day so they are a great value. I am actually considering ordering them in black as well! Order a half size up from your normal size if your feet are a little wide. This is a lovely, neutral pump. Just enough heel to look dressy without hurting your feet or legs. The fit is true and they are comfortable. The heel is an unusual shape, and I like it. I've worn them with a navy suit and with jeans and they were perfect both times. I have 5 or 6 pairs of shoes from this manufacturer and I love them all.

I think I spent more time choosing this shoe than I ever have before. I hesitated to buy it because it would cost more than I had expected to spend. But I wanted an attractive pair of shoes to wear with a brown linen dress I had purchased for my grandson's graduation celebration. And I wanted to get a pair of reptile shoes, preferably strappy and high heeled. It was quite a while until I decided to try this pair because Joan and David has been my favorite shoe for comfort and elegance (as much as I need Up North). The minute I saw them I loved them. They are comfortable. Then don't eat nylons. They look like I hunted all over for the perfect shoe. I'd recommend them to anyone who is looking for a reptile shoe that's simple, stylish, comfortable, and will hold up for a long time.
