Amazing shoes! I've had them for about a month now, and I can already tell a huge difference. I have really flat feet, and I'm a big guy, 330lb, so running has always been painful, but I've noticed a huge difference with these shoes!

The 243's are the third addition to my inov-8 collection. I also own the trailroc 245's and oroc 280's. I purchased the oroc's for extra traction in the snow and ice after falling a couple times wearing the 245's. I really liked the extra protection around the toe box of the 280's. I run with two dogs attached to my waist on all kinds of off road terrain and can't be super picky about foot placement. When the ground thawed out I decided to try the 243's because they also have more protection around the toes than the 245's and a low profile 3mm drop. The 243's are super light, and look, fit, and feel great just like my other pairs of inov-8's. I order a 1/2 size larger than non running shoes for what I consider a perfect fit. There is noticably more ground feel to the 243's vs. the 245's due to the lack of a rock plate in the 243's. Getting more feedback from the ground gives my runs a more minimalist feel and keeps me focused on good running form. The added protection around the toe box gives me more security on unpredictable hairy terrain. Overall the performance of the roclite 243's has been outstanding and has become my go to everyday trail running shoe. As always Zappos had my inov-8's at a great price and delivered them to my door the next day. Awesome as usual.

These shoes are the ideal minimal workout shoe. Definitely closer to the ground without sacrificing comfort. They're light and breathe wonderfully. I have a fairly wide foot, and I still found these shoes to be comfortable on the width, which is difficult when it comes to athletic shoes. My squats feel more natural with the 4mm differential. They also feel great to run in. I couldn't be happier. If you're looking for a shoe that will keep up with the broad spectrum that comes with CrossFit, you can't beat inov8.

Great lifters. Very stable platform. However, I was warned that they run a little small and I agree so I ordered a half size up. I wish the width was slimmer. The front of my shoe buckles as I lace it up, tightly.

These shoes made my knees hurt every time I wore them. They were so expensive that I kept making excuses for the shoes, but it really was the shoes. They are gorgeous sneakers. The purple and black look amazing. Yet the quality and comfort just is not there. As others have said, Gore-Tex started to peel after a couple of uses. I think for the price this is not a good shoe!

These are my first pair of CrossFit shoes. I've been doing CrossFit for about a year in running shoes and finally decided to try a pair of CrossFit shoes. After some research I ordered these as well as two others. As soon as I put these on I knew they were for me! They fit like an old leather glove that has been perfectly formed to my foot. They also perform well right out of the box. They only need longer laces but that is an easy fix.

I bought these as my first set of crossfit shoes. They work great. I'm a bigger guy (245 pounds), and they give me a sense of added stability doing olympic lifts. I also seem to be able to do the box jumps a little easier than before. I ordered them a little smaller per the other reviews (I wear 13.5 normally, and got a 13 that fits well).

I love these shoes! I was looking for a pair that had no laces, that I could run in, which were light, low profile and black. These hit every marker, and they are super comfortable.

I forgot to mention in my review that these boots have excellent traction due to the sticky rubber and deep lugs!

These boots have a neutral fit and therefore, by design, have little to no arch support. They run narrow and would fit a size C width perfectly. I am a size D but find them quite comfy after wearing them indoors for a couple of weeks. These boots hug the feet, are gentle on sensitive ankles, keep debris out as would be expected of any low-cut boot. They are waterproof, have a modest heel to midfoot drop, decent cushioning, and are incredibly light! And, Zappos sells them!

This sneaker is very comfortable, lightweight and fits well. I bought it to use for cross training but, truthfully, it doesn't have enough side to side stability for jogging or certain kinds of strength training. Still, I enjoy wearing it for light exercise and love the way it contours to my foot.

I have plantar fasciitis, and was using prescription orthotics for about 3 years and never really improved. I decided to give minimalist running a shot, under the hypothesis that barefoot/minimalist running strengthens the arch. I can't say I'm improved, but I can run farther (from 1 mile with orthotics to now about 3 miles and improving). I chose inov-8 because a friend used them, and I love them. Very comfortable. I do recommend starting at a higher arch to begin with - I just graduated to 1-arrow after a few months. Overall, super comfortable running (and walking) shoe.

As a trainer I am always looking for new shoes. When I found these I wasn't sure if I should get them because I am a complete Brooks girl. But eventually I got them and it was a great decision. They are super functional to train in and do all kinds of lifts in. They have the perfect amount of support I was looking for when doing my heavy lifts then transitioning to more jumping type movements. I love these shoes and I recommend them to anyone!

I want to like this shoe, but it gave me terrible blisters on my heel. The fabric in that area is as rough as sandpaper. I only wore them twice but don't feel like trying to break them in...not sure if they would break before me. I don't have problems with other brands like NB & Brooks out of the box. Maybe if you had some seriously thick socks it would be okay. Other than the blisters, these are pretty good for OCR except for any parts with a flat smooth surface such as a balance beam. Overall, I would take the traction of this shoe in the mud, etc. over the stability on a flat surface...just have to be more careful on the latter.

These shoes are fantastic. They're of sound construction, incredibly light weight and are perfect for training. There is very little padding but it doesn't mean the shoes are uncomfortable by any stretch. I highly recommend and have actually encouraged others in purchasing this shoe as well.

Bought these for my CrossFit combo lifting/metcon workouts. I've worn Inov-8 230's and 195's previously and always loved them. Had been lifting in an old pair of Do-Wins which I also love, but wanted something that could cross over. These didn't work out for me. They felt a half-size too small, but I didn't order larger because there was also something that felt a little uncomfortable upon toe flexion, across the top of the toes... the material felt too hard, creased and rubbed the tops of my toes. Just didn't like the way they felt. Planning to try another brand.

I will begin by saying, order half size larger. This shoe is very light with minimal support but I personally don't mind that. I do like the fact that not everyone has these shoes. I don't like wearing a shoe and seeing them on other peoples feet. I would certainly consider buying another pair maybe in a different color or model. I will also definitely order them from Zappos. Their service is without rival!

Love these shoes! Very comfortable! A bit stiff at first but after walking in them for awhile they loosened up. Great stability and helped out with my lifts tremendously. Good for running too.

I've had the Powerheel for a few weeks now. They're perfect for traveling if you're a business traveler or vacationing CrossFitter/Oly Lifter. Sure, they're not going to be as secure as a traditional Oly shoe, no one is saying these replace a real Oly shoe, but they do work great for beginners in the box who don't want to spend $150-200 on a pair of olys straight away, or the traveler. Diane Fu knows what she's talking about and she likes them.

Absolutely love these shoes. I do crossfit and these are perfect for lifting and the WODs. It's like not having anything on your feet yet has great support. I am an adult female and I usually buy kids shoes due to my small feet and these fit like a glove. Would definitely buy them again. Zappos delivery was on point as well.

What I wanted: a very minimal running shoe with excellent traction that also doesn't have a color scheme that makes it look like a clown shoe. Additional features I like: the upper portion of the shoe is entirely mesh and the insole is vented: these shoes dry quickly, even in high humidity and the soles don't squeak on linoleum even when they're wet. This shoe is a little wider than the average running shoe (I appreciate this since I often get blisters around the ball of my foot from narrow running shoes). It's also SUPER light-weight, my beach slippers are heavier. The soles are highly textured and provide great traction, even on wet paving. The only thing I don't like is that the toe box collapses a bit after a couple of days of wearing, making the shoes look flimsy. The shoe has a very slight heel, which I find does not interfere with my running stride (I tend to "land" on the back of the ball of my foot and most running shoes have too much heel for this). There is essentially no padding: the ride is very responsive but will probably feel jarring for runners with a heel-strike gait. The sole is stiff enough to protect you from small rocks and still soft enough to allow your toes and arch to flex freely. Some of the minimalist shoes I've tried had bulkier, softer soles which give the shoe a sloppy feel AND make sure every rock on the road or trail leaves a mark on your foot (I'm looking at you, Nike). Will be buying myself a couple more pairs in the near future. This is now my go-to running shoe: the Brooks I bought at the same time just can't compete.
