If you want a place where people appreciate the benefits of a well-fitting, waterproof boot, Scotland seems a natural choice. Mr. Henry Lee Norris most certainly thought so when he set up shop with his master boot makers back in 1856. Originally, Hunter rain boots were designed for traversing Scotland's rugged terrain and combating its unpredictable weather. Since then, the reputation of Hunter men's rain boots, Hunter women's rain boots and Hunter children's rain boots for performance, durability and outstanding comfort has become legendary worldwide.
Although their links to the present day cover over 150 years and an awful lot of advancement, there are things about a pair of Hunter rain boots that Henry would still recognize: the care, the craftsmanship, and the refusal to compromise on quality.
The first of the famous Hunter green Wellingtons were seen back in 1956. Ever since, they've been mastering the art of welly making for children and adults, by using the best of new materials, introducing revolutionary technology and replying on good old fashioned hand craftsmanship. What sets Hunter rain boots apart from the competition lies in part to a closely guarded secret process. The result is a much stronger, watertight boot that will perform under the toughest conditions.
Hunter is equally proud of the things that have changed and the things that stay the same. The weather's just as wet and the Hunter rain boots are just as good! Today, Hunter remains the preferred welly brand for men, women and children who like to work hard and play hard. Wherever your pursuits may lie, be they in a distant wooded field or amidst the bustle of city streets, Hunter has the perfect footwear for keeping up with your unique lifestyle.

These socks are great with my Hunter boots. It is important to know that the size of your socks should match the size of your boots. My foot size is 7.5. I first ordered boots size 8 and socks in Medium. The socks were too short and I had to return them and buy size Large, which is longer, to match my boot. The foot size for the socks seem to be the same (almost). It is really the height that varies significantly. I love Zappos customer service. It was very easy to exchange them.Read more » « Show less June 23, 2011 by Elahe H

Disappointed - While I LOVE my Hunter boots, these socks are not at all what I had hoped for. They are awkward to put in your boots and the seams are placed right where your foot lands. This is not at all comfortable. You are much better off wearing your usual socks or a pair of over the calf winter socks. I would not suggest spending your money on the Hunter socks.Read more » « Show less December 21, 2007 by Jenn

Bought these for the gf for non-Hunter rainboots. They fit, but she wasn't happy with the tightness at the calf, coupled with the looseness at the ankle. Hopes this is helpful for those people looking to make these compatible with something else.

A great addition to your hunter wellies! When it's cold, the rubber boots really don't keep you warm. Adding the welly socks makes a world of difference. I wore them in freezing rain the other day and my feet were toasty warm (just be sure to put them on your feet and then step into your boots). Totally worth it!

I bought this sock in Turquoise. I have the Hunter Huntress boots that are wider in the ankle and calf. This sock is meant for the original Hunter rain boot. I find that it is hard to fold over the sock at the top of the boot. They feel rather tight. I love the color I bought, and the sock feels very warm. I do recommend the sock but keep in mind it is meant for the original Hunter, a taller and narrower boot. Once you have this sock in the boot, it leaves little room to tuck a pair of jeans in. It seems that you will be wearing these with leggings instead.

These socks go great with my Hunter boots! I got the regular size, not the short ones. They're nice and comfy. I consider myself to have fairly large ankles and calves; I am 5'5 and my calves are about 16 inches around. I got the 8 and it is 17 inches in the calf so it's perfect, not too big, not too small. Beautiful comfortable lightweight boot. Unlike the Xtra Tuffs most Alaskans here use - I don't participate in any strenuous activity so these fit me perfectly.
