Product Information:
  • This shortened version sustains just as much style and versatility as the original.

  • Built on an orthopedic last for that renowned Hunter fit.
  • Pull-on straps at the sides.
  • Signature Hunter logo on the front.

I bought these as a gift for my wife and as it turned out they run a little bigger than the listed size. I suppose that this is meant to account for heavy winter socks that are usually worn with them. The return process was speedy and my customer service rep was awesome. Overall, this was one of the better retail experiences I have ever had. And my wife loved her boots! They're so darn cute on her.

These short rain boots and wonderful and cute! I was hesitant to get them in black (since Hunters come in so many gorgeous colors), but they've become a staple already. They run a bit large, but insoles or thick socks easily fix this. I totally recommend them!

Loved the look of the boots, but they were difficult to put on. I have high arches and (I guess) age has widened my feet. Also my right foot is a 6-1/2 & the left is a 7. Anyway, it was a struggle to get these on or off and I wouldn't have been able to wear them with even the lightest socks. Once I got them on they weren't too bad, but...

I have the Hunter tall boot (got it years ago, when they were still made in Scotland), and now this short boot. These do, indeed, run big. I'm between a 5.5 and a 6. I got this in the 6, and I can fit my finger between my heel and the back of the boot, and wiggle it, too, but that wee bit of room allows me to wear extra-thick socks during the winter, which is perfect!

Love these boots. Well worth paying the money. Have bought cheaper versions before to save money and they fall apart right away. Boots are tough and waterproof. Size down. I got the 4/5 women's and usually wear a size 6. These fit perfectly. I like the short hunters because I think they look better on short legs like mine than tall boots. Plenty of room to tuck pants in as well. Spend the money!

All about Hunter

If you want a place where people appreciate the benefits of a well-fitting, waterproof boot, Scotland seems a natural choice. Mr. Henry Lee Norris most certainly thought so when he set up shop with his master boot makers back in 1856. Originally, Hunter rain boots were designed for traversing Scotland’s rugged terrain and combating its unpredictable weather. Since then, the reputation of Hunter men's rain boots, Hunter women's rain boots and Hunter children's rain boots for performance, durability and outstanding comfort has become legendary worldwide.

Although their links to the present day cover over 150 years and an awful lot of advancement, there are things about a pair of Hunter rain boots that Henry would still recognize: the care, the craftsmanship, and the refusal to compromise on quality.

The first of the famous Hunter green Wellingtons were seen back in 1956. Ever since, they’ve been mastering the art of welly making for children and adults, by using the best of new materials, introducing revolutionary technology and replying on good old fashioned hand craftsmanship. What sets Hunter rain boots apart from the competition lies in part to a closely guarded secret process. The result is a much stronger, watertight boot that will perform under the toughest conditions.

Hunter is equally proud of the things that have changed and the things that stay the same. The weather's just as wet and the Hunter rain boots are just as good! Today, Hunter remains the preferred welly brand for men, women and children who like to work hard and play hard. Wherever your pursuits may lie, be they in a distant wooded field or amidst the bustle of city streets, Hunter has the perfect footwear for keeping up with your unique lifestyle.

I thought that these boots would be completely waterproof - but after wearing them a couple of times in wet conditions, the toes of my socks were a bit damp (and not due to sweating). Maybe I\'m naive in expecting complete dryness? At any rate, I\'m still happy with them because: for the most part they still do the job, they\'re cute (I got the purple), and comfortable. I think I have an average calf size and I have no problem fitting boot-cut jeans into them. Great for all the dog walking I do!

Love my short Hunters! They are perfect for a football game or shopping when you want to look cute, but don't want to look like you're trying too hard. I did have to return my 1st pair because they run large. I usually where an 8, but a 7 fits perfectly even with thick socks.

Too short even for a short girl. The regular Hunter boot is too tall for someone my height (about 5 feet); it would have hit uncomfortably just under my kneecap. I suspected these might be too short though, but I ordered them to try them on and see; sure enough, they hit me mid-shin, and even just taking a few steps around the living room that feeling was so uncomfortable. Why couldn't they just make them 2 inches taller? Oh, I'm a size 6 and ordered the Women 5/Men 4 because I know that in the US, men's 4 is a women's 6. Worked out perfectly.

I bought a pretty pair of hunter boots this spring, the ones with spring flowers on it. I abused the poor boots all summer, mulching, digging in the dirt, playing in the water and mud, leaving them sit outside by the back door when they were not on my feet. Since winter is approaching I decided to clean them up and bring them inside, lamenting about how bad they looked, not like they did when I took them out of the box. After a little light scrubbing they looked like new again. It's supposed to rain tomorrow and I have go into Georgetown. Guess what I'm going to wear?

These boots keep you dry from the big city puddle and they look pretty cute over skinny jeans. I purchased a size down. The first pair I ordered were my true size and they were very big - heel kept slipped out.\r\n\r\n

I had been searching all over the stores for the Hunter Original Short boot in chocolate and could not find them any where. I needed the short version because I have thick calves that often do not fit in high boots. I was also looking for the Hunter brand because they are stylish and the craftsmanship is amazing! \r\nI decided to call the Hunter showroom here in New York and they referred me to the Zappos website. I received them quickly and with free shipping! \r\nI love them and yes, they run a bit big, but I can live with it. I do wish the brown wasn\'t so dark. \r\nI recommend them!

I love my Hunters. They are a good fit for those that find the tall boots to be tight at the calves.

I absolutely love my Hunter rain boots. They are so durable and look cute with jeans and even shorts. They do run a little big however I like the room to wear thicker socks when it os cold. I wear a 7.5 normally and got a 7. Also, I love the short version. I'm 5'2 and I personally did not think it would be very comfortable with the boots rubbing on the joint line when I walked. I was first contemplating getting child-size but did not like the structure of the boot as much as these. Glad I went with the Hunter short. Also, Zappos was extremely fast shipping. I think it took all of a day.

Love these! I read the reviews and thought that I should go a size down, but they turned out a little tight. I called Zappos and had my new boots the next day. Very comfy and very happy feet.

I have several pairs of Hunter boots, but I much prefer this shorter version. I always struggled with the taller ones being to tight on my calves hence no room to tuck my jeans into the boots. I am always watering, walking through wet grass, washing an animal;you name it and these boots have never failed me. I do however slip around in them a bit especially walking down hill, but I fixed that issue by putting Ugg insole replacements in them. Now they are perfect. I only have the traditional green, but am tempted to order another color for variety.

I ordered the Hunter boots for my daughter. She is a counselor at a sleep away camp, so I can\'t comment on comfort, but I can say, they are very well made and I am certain her feet will stay dry!She loved the look of the boot, and any rain boot that an 18 year old will wear, says a lot for the shoe!! Enjoy!

I love, love, love these boots. They are light and a great fit. They do run big, so order a size smaller. Great service Zappos. Hats off!

They feel very roomy, even a half size down from my usual size. I love the short height as I have short legs and they aren’t too tall. Very wide opening at top, a little tough to get boot legged jeans over.

The aubergine is a subtle enough purple that they’re not obnoxious, which I love. I ordered a 9 although I usually wear a 10, and they fit fine with thin cotton socks (haven’t tried them with wool socks yet). I wish I would have gotten the taller ones, but I do love these boots.
