Hi-Tec Reviews
My rating is actually 3.5 stars. It's difficult to find a size 7 sandal that's not too large. These fit well, don't chafe, and the back strap doesn't ride too low. My only complaint is that the foot bed is a bit hard and doesn't breathe.
The bad thing about these is they don't have enough strap or an adjustable strap around the front toe of the shoe...bummer because the rest of the fit was great.
I wanted to like these but the left shoe made my ankle turn in and the heels were hard and uncomfortable. I have to return.
Pretty comfortable right out of the box, waterproofing works really well. Only issue I had was with one of the eyelets on the right inner shoe was bothering my ankle. Other than that, GREAT shoe right out of the box!
This is my third pair of Propet boots. I have been happy to find them on Zappos, since they seem to be the best WIDE, waterproof hiker at a reasonable price. By the time I need a new pair, the models have changed and I have to try something new and it continues to work out so far. But there is always a bit of aggravation... the first boot had die-cast eyelets that quickly cut even the toughest laces. The second pair had big smooth lace loops, completely solving that problem, but ended up delaminating the soles after a couple of seasons. This boot seems to be holding up pretty well, but now on THIS boot I'm finding that the speed lace hooks are just plain hard to lace. They are positioned a bit funny and don't accept the lace easily. Pretty minor complaint, really, but there it is. This boot seems even roomier than expected in the toe box, believe it or not. The EEE size is more than adequate, although I've worn 4E in the past. They have been out for several backpacking outings and are holding up well. The full-grain leather is a bit vulnerable to rock scuffs, compared to previous boots. But the soles seem to be rock-solid, which is good. So far so good on the waterproof construction, sloppy trails are not leading to wet socks, which in the end is the best review I know how to give.
I have very hard feet to fit. These are ok. They rub a little at the arch. Either these run a tad short or my size 11 feet are now close to 11 1/2. The color is a little bland.
I Purchased these for my husband for a Florida trip and he never had to break them in . Very comfortable.
The shoe looked good on the website but when I received it I was very disappointed with how uncomfortable it is. My feet hurt after wearing it for 10 minutes.
This shoe looks beautiful. It is far from true to size. I have hi-tec footwear from last year in size 11 compared to this size 11 it is over an inch shorter and much narrower. :(
Love these shoes. Multiple straps are movable. I have bunions and these straps did not hurt. The lightness of the shoe was like walking barefoot with some support. I would definitely recommend these shoes.
Full disclosure - I did not keep these, so I can only give first impressions. Awesome shoes, very cool looking in person. The dark gray with red soles are funky without being obnoxious. As expected from this brand, they seem very high quality. Extremely comfy out of the box, with good support. I wish that I could have kept these, but I need EE/4E width. I thought that I would give these a shot though, and they almost worked - quite roomy through the forefoot for a D width.
Very disappointed. We bought these in November and early February the seams are pulling away from the soles, and at the toes is split. I hope Zappos removes these from their inventory. Waste of money.
Bought these about 3 months ago and have worn them on and off since often as a replacement for sneakers. They've taken very little scuffing and the waterproofing holds up amazingly well. Most recently I wore them for nearly two days straight digging out after the major blizzard in New England a couple of weeks ago, and my feet were never uncomfortable, cold, or wet. My only complaint is that the standard laces seem to come loose very easily. I bought these boots from another retailer because they had a better price, but no matter where you buy them from I highly recommend them.
Finally! A boot that fits right out of the box! I've tried several other brands and styles with no luck. I require a wide shoe and the Hi-Tec was the first that provided a true wide width boot. I love 'em...!!!
My second pair. I changed jobs and do not wear them everyday, but they have managed to last about 2 years. I still highly recommend them if you are looking for a great boot that will last!

Everyone knows Zappos has the best customer service in the world but you also need to know these Hi-Tec boots are pretty spectacular as well. Waterproof and durable enough to stand up to the harsh environment of a working winery. This is my fourth pair and they are comfortable right out of the box.
Comfortable and durable, these shoes get the job done. While hiking mountain trails following both snow and rain, I navigated the path (and even off while geocaching) with great confidence. Highly recommend!

HI-TEC SPORTS was founded in 1974 in the appropriately named village of Shoeburyness, in Essex, England. The company´s original success grew from the breakthrough design and development of Hi-Tec's first ever shoe, THE HI-TEC SQUASH, specifically designed for the then fast growing game of squash. An industry benchmark then and now, few shoes in athletic footwear history have recorded unit sales of over 18 million pairs worldwide to date. The Hi-Tec Squash shoe remains Britain's all time best selling sports shoe model to this day.
