I purchased these boots for my trip to Alaska! Worried about security while flying, wanted something easy to get on and off. These boots are easy to put on and get off and lightweight and warm! Very comfy, perfect fit (use the size guide). I totally love these boots. I bought the Honey/Sable/Taupe color. Very comfy, lightweight, nice looking boots. Fit perfect, no breaking in needed.

Zappos is the best! I ordered this boot last night and it arrived this afternoon. It is even better looking in person, well made, not too heavy and very comfortable even for a rugged winter boot. I wear a 7.5-8, but ordered a 7 as recommended. It fits just right with plenty of toe room and room for thick socks. The front opens to allow your foot to easily slip in, but will not allow snow or water to enter, will accommodate a larger calf and allow pants to be tucked in. I've been wearing them around the house and can find no flaws. Now I just need some severe weather! I shopped around for a rugged winter in boot in several high end stores and was not impressed with their selection or service, as usual. I always return to Zappos!

These boots are unbeatable for the price. They\'ve lasted about 2 years of hiking and landscape contracting abuse. I only got 1 year out of my last pair of Timberlands. I\'m sure there are better boots out there but not at this price. Waterproof only to the top of the foot, not all the way to the boot top.

These boots are great. I am replacing another pair of hi-tecs that I wore for 10 years. Order a half size up and then get an extra insole to stick in them for more arch support. I normally wear a 9. I ordered a 9.5 in these and have plenty of room for the insole and cushy socks.

I really love these hiking shoes! My family and I bought these prior to a hike "down" Loon Mountain in NH. They were "so" comfortable. I was worried about blisters, and there was none. We did not get a chance to break these in, but we did not need to! They were "nice looking", too, so my 14 year old willingly put these on, too!

The shoes felt comfortable and fit at my regular size. Although they are not the cutest pair of shoes, they were exactly what I was looking for, except that the tongue of the shoe was so thick. It just was so stuffed full and it made my foot appear wider than it really is. I decided to return them and keep looking.

Better than Sorels or Uggs!My first time buying this brand and I was very pleased when I opened the box as they looked even better in person--now for the fit, which is roomy enough to wear a mid weight sock. They are like a hiking-snow boot! I ordered a 9 with hesitation as I usually need a 9.5-10 in boots because I need a little extra width and room over my instep, but I am glad I did. These feel good as far as support on my feet which are highly sensitive, although I haven't worn them outside yet. They aren't over the top bulky and are rugged looking but cute. I got the lighter color and was happy to see that they aren't too light. I think they will keep my feet warm and dry while I hike in the snow this winter. Previously I ordered a pair of Uggs that cost almost twice as much and returned them because they looked and felt awful on my feet. Thanks for the great service Zappos!

We actually bought these for my son to use on his Boy Scout hikes. He right away used them to hike at Enchanted Rock State Park in Texas; no blisters were formed. They really don't need any "break-in" time, as they are quite comfortable. I liked them for him because of the stay-dry feature for when they are hiking in streams, etc. The shoes provide the needed support, but they are not constricting. I would highly recommend them.

Love the boots and the service was even better! I am on my feet all day in all kinds of conditions and so far my feet have stayed nice and dry and the boots needed no wear in time. I did have trouble getting the right size and had to return two pairs, but the third time was a charm. I called to request a different size late in the evening and the new pair was on my doorstep the following evening when I got home both times. Now that is what I call service! You rock, Zappos! If you wear Adidas, these will fit you well.

I LOVE these boots- between bunions and foot growth due to pregnancies, my boot situation was miserable. I have been finding that men\'s shoes work well for my feet, and these boots are no exception. After one short hike near town, I took them to the Olympic Peninsula for trekking around rainforests and beaches- dry, comfortable feet!! Love it! Plenty of wiggle room for my toes, yet enough support to not allow for blisters. Even ended up trail running a couple of miles in them. Best buy ever!

Don't last long. Got those in May and both soles are worn already. Right foot tip is peeling off badly. Not waterproof anymore. This is one of the worst shoes I had in years. My advice to you is to stay away from those.

Very disappointed in this boot. They feel about 1/2 to 1 size too large. Very bulky. Worse part is the first time I wore them, the button snapped off. They are supposed to be a pull on boot, but the design is very bad with the button on the side with elastic cording. Do not recommend.

My daughter loves the boots. It has just enough of an "Ugg" look to be fashionable. I am hoping that they will be great in the snow too since they are listed as waterproof.

Great, comfortable hiking boot - and you can\'t beat the price! I find the Hi Tecs to be more comfortable than boots that are much more expensive. After my first pair died (after about 8 years of round-the-globe hiking), I tried 2 - 3 other brands and always ended up disappointed. So, I\'m back with Hi Tec and will stick with them!

I recently wrote a review about how disappointed I was with these boots because the pair that I received was not waterproof. I contacted Hi-Tec and was able to exchange the boots. I decided to try another pair of the same boots because they fit quite well, despite the problem. I am so pleased with the new pair! Not only do they fit well and have been comfortable from the day that I received them, they are very much waterproof! And we have been getting a lot of rain around here recently, so I am so very happy with these boots. Thanks, Zappos, for helping me find a great pair of boots so quickly!

The boots fit perfectly, and have really worked out well on a couple of recent hikes on rocky uneven trails. They are very comfortable. I can\'t wait to try them out on an upcoming trip to some National Parks in Utah!

I purchased these for my teenage son for a hiking trip. They were immediately very comfortable, soft, easy to break in. He has feet issues and was able to use his inserts without any problems in these. They were great and the look is great, unisex.

I love the look of these boots and I couldn\\\'t wait to try them; however, the sizing seems to run a bit small, both in the length and the width. My last pair of Hi-Tec boots were a size 9, so I ordered a 9 again. They were way too small, so I exchanged then for a 9.5. Again, still too small. You may want to size up on these boots!

Great shoe that will help your game. This is a great shoe that is comfortable from day one. It is solidly built. The stabilizing bars do help with balance, which translates into better swing control.

I bought these waterproof shoes so I could walk/run my puppy in all kinds of weather. I ordered my regular size 7 M, and they fit fine. They are definitely waterproof, top to bottom. They are fairly light to wear, comfortable and have great traction. The only con I can give these terrific shoes is that the tongue is very puffy (which probably gives excellent protection to your foot should a boulder fall on it). I personally don't care for that look, but when walking the dog, all I really care about is that they are comfortable and keep me perfectly dry, and they do!

I am really happy with my new hiking shoes. My old (20 yr+) pair were also Hi-Tec, so I wanted as close to the same pair as I could get. After wearing them on two twenty-mile and up hikes, one over 4000 feet altitude, I have to report that the new pair perform even better than the old pair. They are so comfortable and fit so well on my REALLY wide feet that I have to admit they feel like bedroom slippers on a long hike. Thanks Hi-Tec for making lower cost but still terrific hiking shoes.

Nice looking boot but is very big, both in length and width, especially on my small feet. Same with the other Hi-Tec hiker I ordered. Would recommend this if you have larger feet.

These shoes fail! There are built in holes in the soles. I purchased a pair of Hi-Tec Cape Trail shoes approximately one year ago. They have already reached the end of their useful life and with little actual wear or tear. The uppers, inners, and stitching of the Cape Trails are all fine. However, the sole, which has the illusion of being 1/4" to 1/2" thick, is actually hollow! The knobs on the tread are hollow and have worn through allowing water to accumulate in the airspace that is left. This causes an annoying and embarrassing squishing noise. If the knobs on the tread of the sole were solid, as one would expect, instead of hollow, these shoes would have at least another year of wear left in them. I have worn out many pairs of shoes in my 52 years of life and I have never seen a hollow tread before. A very poor design by Hi-Tec.

I usually wear 11.5 size shoes so I originally ordered this size but they were way too small. I returned them for size 12 and they also were somewhat small but I kept them thinking that they would stretch some which they did.\r\n\r\nI broke them in for about a week and then took them on a 3-day climb of Mt. Adams in Washington. The shoes performed beautifully while guys with much more expensive shoes were suffering with blisters.

About Hi-Tec

HI-TEC SPORTS was founded in 1974 in the appropriately named village of Shoeburyness, in Essex, England. The company’s original success grew from the breakthrough design and development of Hi-Tec's first ever shoe, THE HI-TEC SQUASH, specifically designed for the then fast growing game of squash. An industry benchmark then and now, few shoes in athletic footwear history have recorded unit sales of over 18 million pairs worldwide to date. The Hi-Tec Squash shoe remains Britain's all time best selling sports shoe model to this day.

It was not until 1982 that the Hi-Tec brand name and logo were globally launched as a result of our decision to become a major worldwide sports brand. The innovative, successful global development of Hi-Tec shoes became a casebook study at a prestigious university. Today Hi-Tec is proud to report that there are over 500 Hi-Tec styles being commercialized throughout 80 countries world-wide, under the Hi-Tec Outdoor, Hi-Tec Court, Hi-Tec Golf, Hi-Tec Sport, Urban collections and Magnum shoe brands; a whole family of great products for sports and footwear enthusiasts.
