GUNNAR Optiks Reviews
I love the glasses, but have tended to use them mostly as sunglasses. Ive been wondering if these have any UV protection though. I feel like I'm starting to go blind.
I have been shopping for a pair of Gunnars for a while; in the last few years I have noticed my eyesight deteriorating drastically from long hours behind a computer. I didn't want the yellow tinted ones because come on, who wants to be that dork in the office with the "special" glasses? I'm really glad I waited for this style with the crystalline lens - the frame is super cute and feminine (not too large or angular). Frames my face well, however I have noticed they do tend to creep down my nose since I have a low bridge. As for their effectiveness, I definitely noticed the difference after writing for several hours and my eyes felt great when they normally would have hurt. Comparing the screen with and without the glasses, you can see that these help bring out sharper text and whiter whites. Can't wait to see if they'll help for gaming on a TV screen as well. It's an investment but your eyes are worth it!
Awesome glasses. Amber lens is better than crystalline if you just want to help your eyes if you spend several hours for on a computer for work and don't need the benefit for graphic design.

I ordered these to help reduce glare at the computer (both from the screen and from the light outside, as my office has French doors and a lot of light) and to provide a small degree of magnification. I've found them effective and comfortable, and wear them just about non-stop while at the computer -- and as a full-time professional writer, I'm at the computer for 7 to 10 hours a day. I would recommend these for anyone who wants to reduce glare and improve vision.
I have another brand of computer glasses (no tinting) that has helped immensely in the past. But I've been spending more time in front of the computer and felt I needed tinted glasses to further reduce eyestrain. I immediately noticed a difference when I tried these on but the glasses have slight magnification. It's less than 1.00 reading glasses, but noticeable enough that my eyes felt uncomfortable after awhile and they're so ugly. but at least on a female face. Zappos please add videos/photos with female models. For the price, I want glasses that I won't feel stupid wearing at the office. They're going back!
