I love these boots. They're true to size and color. I get many compliments. The top is not too wide for regular straight fit jeans; I'm not sure what the other guy was talking about. Very comfortable and durable. I have had them for about 7 months now. Frye is the best!

About Frye
Frye's current Harness Boots are rooted in tradition and continue to draw influence from the Cavalry. Today the classic Harness Boot holds a place in American culture. The Frye Harness Boot has been pictured in fashion spreads internationally. In 1938, on a trip to Washington, D.C., John A. Frye's grandson and namesake met a U.S. Navy Admiral who confided that he had trouble finding the Wellington boots he liked so much. As a favor, John agreed to make him a pair. Frye continued to fill requests for these boots through the Second World War. During World War II, Frye supplied thousands of servicemen with Frye Wellington boots, known as Jet Boots, by mail order.
In the 1960's, Frye reintroduced the Campus Boot, from its 1860 original, featuring a bulky toe and chunky heel that came to epitomize the attitude and the style of the 60's and 70's. There was nothing like these "new" Frye Boots on the market, and consumers began to demand "Original Fryes." When searching for items to represent the America of the 60's, the Smithsonian Institute chose a pair of Frye Boots.
The quality of all Frye shoes is timeless. For almost 150 years, Frye leather products have continued to be benchcrafted from the finest full grain leather uppers. It takes over 190 steps to make one pair of Frye boots. Frye remains dedicated to the commitment of craftsmanship for which Frye boots and Frye shoes have been known for more than 100 years.

I love how easy it is to put these on with the rear zipper. I've had these a week now, and they have nestled around my feet like a hug from a long lost friend. When I opened the box the aroma of leather filled the room. My wife even remarked from across the room about the soothing smell. I was almost sold before trying them on. I noticed that not only are the outside materials leather, but there is another layer of leather lining the entire inner boot. They're very warm and comfortable. Great style too! Love the strap and hoop design. I feel like a rock star walking around with these on. These go GREAT with jeans and are nice enough to wear with dress slacks.

These boots are amazing. The footbed offers surprisingly nice cushioning and the leather starts to mold to your foot. They do take several weeks to fully break in but once they do, you will love them!

This boot is amazingly comfortable. They felt so soft like they were already worn for a year. I loved my first pair so much I ordered these and they are equally awesome. They're like slippers.

These are really great boots. Exceptional quality. They're pricey, but will hold up against the test of time. Bonus - they look even better the longer you have them. Zappos does a great job getting them out in a timely manner too.

Nice, comfortable boots. It's got that conservative harness look with a bit of classy, elegant dress and urban cowboy design combined. They fit true to size. The only pet peeve I have is the heel. I wish it could be made a little thicker. It's almost as flat as that of canvas shoe.

These are great boots. Size is 1/2 larger than I normally wear but are fine. Very high quality. If you have high instep, the back zipper works great.

Good fit and top quality boot. The back zipper makes them easy to get into. After wearing them for a month, they just conform to your feet.

I got these for my husband as a gift and he absolutely loves them. The fit was perfect, and he wears them with boot cut jeans and they go with everything from a t-shirt to something more dressy. The cognac color looks even better in person than depicted online.

These boots are exactly what I expected. Elegance without compromising on comfort. At first I though zipping then in the back was going to be awkward, but after using them a couple times zipping is quick and simple. I love these boots. (This is the 3rd pair of boot I own and clearly my favorite.)

The fit and style are great. The leather is nicely distressed, but not too much. The color is good and rich. The forefoot of the footbed feels a little thin and hard, but it keeps the overall looks of the boot sleek. This thin fit also means there's no room for adding your own insole. The major negative with these boots is that the leather sole bottom is really slippery. I sometimes slip around a little on tile floors or wet sidewalks. I'd like to wear these when riding my motorcycle, but they just don't have enough traction for putting a steady foot down at a stoplight. So, these just aren't functional enough to be everyday boots for me.
