As an avid boot collector of many years, I can say emphatically that this is the finest, most beautiful pair of boots I have ever had the pleasure of wearing. The boots fit like a glove, never had to be broken in, and are inordinately comfortable. I have never left the house in them without someone making a comment on how stunning they look. You can wear them with jeans or wear them with tight slacks for a classy equestrian look. Certainly worth every penny you spend on them; the quality is simply first-rate.

Beautiful leather and very comfortable. Adjustable with the lacing. I'm returning because I really think I need a wide-calf version for the lacing to look perfect. But I really really like these. Try them. Wish it came in wide-calf style.

My sticker shock at the price of these boots made it hard for me to purchase them at first. After finally getting them though, I wish I had of ordered them sooner! I love them and they are worth every penny! I have small calves and struggled to find knee high boots that fit properly. These fit perfect because of the laces and zipper. They were extremely comfortable from the first day I wore them. The quality of the leather and craftsmanship is superb! They really exceeded my expectations. By the way, I ordered the dark brown and they are great because they really match everything!

Love this boot! The laces are functional, so allow you to customize fit to your leg, so this should work for most calf sizes. Was comfortable right out of the box! Quality is outstanding!

Great classic boot! Gorgeous quality! These boots are a bit difficult to get on and off and take a while to break in, but are well worth it! I have small calves and the laces help them to fit well. They look great with miniskirts or under or over jeans. Great buy! Don't miss out!

I love this boot. It's trendy but not too punk. It's good for a gal like me that needs to stay professional but likes to have a little style. With skinny jeans, a fabulous handbag, and a hip 3/4 length coat, it's the ultimate fall look. Big foot gals take note: I wear a size 10, and I wish the boots were a little narrower in the front. They make my feet look a tad big. Not too bad, but just a little. But this is a minor flaw for me. I hope I wear these babies for years to come. Love 'em.

Gorgeous boot, beautiful leather. Hits about an inch below the knee for perfect comfort. Keepers. Run true to your smallest shoe size. I am a 9 to 9 1/2; a 9 is enough.

Love these boots! I was a bit nervous that they wouldn't fit my 15.5 inch calves and wide feet but they are perfect! Sizing is generous - I usually wear a size 9 in dress shoes and an 8 in trainers or things with a round toe. The 8.5 gives me plenty of room for an extra pair of socks. I do wish they had longer laces though - enough to wrap around the top of the leg. The leather is stiff and thick so I expect there will be a bit of break-in time.

Love! Wore them on a trip with leggings, jeans, and skirts -- got tons of compliments. Walked a lot and had no issues. I wear size 9 with a 15 3/4 inch calf and skinny ankles. Most boots either fit one or the other. These are formfitting through the ankles while the lacing allows me to fit my calves -- there is a pretty large expanse of tongue showing at the top, but it's worth it for the ankle fit for me. I wish the laces were a bit longer and the tab on the tongue the laces run through on the instep snapped off of one the first time I tightened them.

I searched a long time before I found these boots, and then I was in indecision over the price for even longer! When I finally ordered them I was quite pleased. Pro's: The leather these boots are made of is nice and thick, the fit for my foot was very comfortable and they took very little time to break in. I love the lace up aspect because I have large calves and it let me adjust the boot to fit perfectly. Cons: The finish of the leather makes it very easy to scratch and scuff; if that bothers you, then these probably aren't the boots for you - however I don't mind the vintage feel, and when I applied the Frye leather cream the scratches were greatly diminished. The laces on these boots aren't quite long enough for me. (but I have a 17" calf.) It seems to me like they ran a tad bit small (I usually wear a 6 to 7 and on these boots the 7 fit like a glove). Overall I really love these boots.

These look great. Easy to adjust to different calf widths. The brown leather is darker than pictured, but I was okay with it. It does seem like it might scuff easily, but I think that's just the deal with real leather and because these are a touch on the rugged side (no heel, more funky than femme), I think they'll just look better with age and wear.

These boots are fabulous!! After looking for the perfect brown boots for months (and sending many, many back to Zappos!), I finally got it right! I wanted a boot that was form fitting from below the knee to the ankle, and were a little different from what everyone else seems to be wearing. I'm 5’6” and have average length legs and the boot hits me right below my kneecap, which I love. They are very comfortable and run true to size and even a bit wide in the toe box, which is nice. Also love the zipper on the side of the boot, so you don't have to keep adjusting the laces. Once and done, essentially. I'm very happy with the quality and overall appearance and think they're worth the money.

So worth the price. I almost cried when I tried these boots on and realized they fit my calves! I am athletic and I guess I have "large" calves and can never find boots that fit. Not only do these boot fit a larger calf due to the adjustable laces, they are butter soft and comfy right out of the box. These are classic, well-made investment boots! I know I will happily wear these for years. I am now searching for longer laces so I can wrap them around the top. If you are on the fence about these boots - get them. On the off chance you decide to return them, Zappos will pay the shipping (but I'll bet you won't!). If you like to wear thick boot socks, I might go up a half-size; mine fit perfect with thin knee-highs.

These boots are beautiful and well constructed. Unfortunately, they did not work for me. I have a pair of the Frye Veronica Slouch boots in size 11 and they are plenty wide and surprisingly comfortable. These boots feel much narrower. Also, I have large calves (16 inches) and although the laces did accommodate my calves, it did not look good on my legs. That said, I would definitely recommend them if you have average width feet and average calves.

When I wore these boots out for the first time I was talking to a friend about them and she said that they were really just perfect. I agree completely, this is the perfect boot in every regard. They fit beautifully and hug your leg because of the adjustable lace. The narrowness of the toe keeps them very feminine but they're a tough boot. They're very comfortable and they'll only get better as they break in. Thick quality leather, treated correctly these should last forever. They remind me of antique man's boots from the 20's or even earlier. It's just a beautiful classic silhouette. This is the most money I've ever spent on footwear but they're absolutely worth it. I didn't even want to take them off to go to sleep after I wore them for the first time.
