Fabulous Frye!!! One of my favorite all time purchases! These boots rock! I wear a 9 almost always, and went down a half size with plenty of toe room. They have a classic, ageless, timeless, "moneyed" look! I know I will have them forever! My first Frye boots are about 30 years old. I eventually wore through the leather soles of them, contacted Frye, and they will replace the soles free of charge! (After 30 years!) If only cars would last that long. Great investment dressing!

Love the boots! I am totally a boot girl and these are amazing. I have been looking for a boot that looks great and is comfortable to be able to walk around NYC. These sure fit that description. They are completely worth the cost. Looks great with dresses and jeans tucked in. They were perfect - I wore them to work all day and was able to walk around the city afterwards. I love FRYE!

I loved this shoe when I took it out of the box then I put it on and was surprised that my toes were nowhere to be found. Unless you have super long toes I wouldn't wear these. They went back.

Classy looking boot - I wanted a good-looking workhorse of a boot, a little bit rugged, but still feminine enough to work well with jeans and skirts. This is the one. The leather is very nice quality and not too stiff in the calf area. The boot is roomy in the toe-box area, but that may be due to the soft rounded design. This is my first pair of Frye so I have no others to compare. Since receiving this pair I have hardly had them off my feet. They are the most comfortable and well constructed boots I have ever worn. I am able to walk and stand for hours in them, I will definitely be back for more of this brand.

About Frye
Frye's current Harness Boots are rooted in tradition and continue to draw influence from the Cavalry. Today the classic Harness Boot holds a place in American culture. The Frye Harness Boot has been pictured in fashion spreads internationally. In 1938, on a trip to Washington, D.C., John A. Frye's grandson and namesake met a U.S. Navy Admiral who confided that he had trouble finding the Wellington boots he liked so much. As a favor, John agreed to make him a pair. Frye continued to fill requests for these boots through the Second World War. During World War II, Frye supplied thousands of servicemen with Frye Wellington boots, known as Jet Boots, by mail order.
In the 1960's, Frye reintroduced the Campus Boot, from its 1860 original, featuring a bulky toe and chunky heel that came to epitomize the attitude and the style of the 60's and 70's. There was nothing like these "new" Frye Boots on the market, and consumers began to demand "Original Fryes." When searching for items to represent the America of the 60's, the Smithsonian Institute chose a pair of Frye Boots.
The quality of all Frye shoes is timeless. For almost 150 years, Frye leather products have continued to be benchcrafted from the finest full grain leather uppers. It takes over 190 steps to make one pair of Frye boots. Frye remains dedicated to the commitment of craftsmanship for which Frye boots and Frye shoes have been known for more than 100 years.

HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY!!!! Great boots for the house! My feet are always cold but not now! The size was a little tricky. I ordered one size larger and it still was too small. I wear a 10 wide and had to go with the XXXL. S’okay though with the free shipping! Very HAPPY!

Beautiful boot - I was looking for a moderate heeled, pull on boot to wear with everything...pants, skirts, dresses. This boot is perfect - not too casual and not too dressy. The brown is a beautiful sort of distressed brown black so it really goes with everything. Incredible Frye quality...I love them.

Great Boot! Perfect heel height, rich color (dark brown), overall classy boot. Looks great with jeans tucked in, leggings, and dresses/skirts. I am usually a solid size 7, but had to go down to a 6 1/2. Perfect fit!

Just what I was looking for! My Zappos experience was amazing. I was upgraded to free express shipping and received my boots within 24 hours! I love the boots. They can be casual or dressy. The fit and quality are excellent. I will be buying from Zappos again and I will be buying Frye boots again!

Beautiful boot, stiff leather - Love the way these boots look. Slip on easily, good heel height. Excellently crafted. The leather is stiff, and I'm hoping it will soften up. Felt tight at first, but I'm stubbornly sticking with them because I love the way they look. All around great boot as Frye always is, but I wouldn't recommend as a walking boot.

I LOVE these boots. Every single time I wear them someone says, wow, those are beautiful boots. Then they take a closer look and say wow, they're good quality...wow, I can smell them! Every single one of my girlfriends has tried them on and expressed envy. :) They are incredibly comfortable and make you look well dressed even when just wearing jeans and a sweater. They look awesome with skirts and dresses too. I tried the Campus 14L but they were just not feminine looking at all. They are really well made and so comfortable inside I can even wear ankle socks and not have any issues walking 10 blocks. I am a size 6 in almost everything and these fit exactly. More importantly if you are having a hard time finding high boots because you have thick calves these are the boots. They fit PERFECTLY. I wanted them to be a tiny bit looser so I could put my jeans inside, I took them to a regular shoe repair guy and they stretched them just enough (not sure how they do it but you would never know it was done). I love the style of these boots and think I can wear them for the next 10 years easily. As one of my girlfriends put it: They're not cowboy boots but they have the feel of it. They're not pointy but they're not round...they're PERFECT.

I just received these yesterday from Frye in slate since Zappos didn\'t offer the slate color (of course I checked Zappos first!). This is my second pair of Frye boots and I am now a Frye girl for life! I don\'t think I\'d ever buy another brand of boot. These are beautiful! I have larger calves and these fit great. The heel is a good height for everyday, with jeans or skirts. I wanted a gray pair of boots desperately and am thrilled with this color. I\'ve found that Frye boots are stiff when you first put them on but they break in fast and mold to your foot! After seeing my two beautiful pairs of Frye boots my sister went on Zappos and ordered a pair of her own.

FIVE STARS ALL AROUND!\\r\\n\\r\\nThese boots are fabulous!! They fit great and feel great! I\\\'ve had problems before finding boots that will fit over my calves but these turned out to be perfect for me. I got them in vintage brown and the color is stunning. You can dress them up and dress them down. The heel is the perfect height as well, so they\\\'re great for walking. I think they look best with skirts and dresses. I\\\'ve always been a solid 7 1/2 shoe size and these seemed a little loose when I first tried them on, but they fit perfectly when I wear tall socks which works out great because I live in the northeast and I\\\'ll be wearing them mostly in the winter. \\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n

I love this boot! I have rather large calves (widest part is a little bit over 16") and these boots were just a little bit too tight. I took them to the cobbler and got them stretched just a tad and now they are perfect. They look nice and they can easily be dressed up or down and they are pretty comfortable. These boots have a great silhouette and look even better on than in the picture. This is my 5th Frye purchase and I can say that their shoes are worth the money when it comes to comfort and quality.

I'm so conflicted. The look of these boots is exactly what I've been looking for. A very classic style and dressy enough for work with skirts and black tights. But my feet are in so much pain after just walking around the house. Will it get better or am I out of luck? Do go down a 1/2 size from what you usually wear. These boots have an extremely long toe and makes it awkward to walk in. Still, I may stick with them because they're so freak'n cute, and heels are supposed to be uncomfortable, right?
