These shoes look great. They do take a little braking in but their materials and construction seem to be of excellent quality. Overall the shoes look great, can be dressed up and down and as I break them in, they are getting quite comfortable.

I love these shoes. The fit is perfect, and they are super-comfortable! I sometimes have a hard time with sizing - sometimes 12, sometimes 11.5, sometimes 11... but these 11.5\'s were spot on. Great shoe, very comfortable and stylish.

I've never worn a 9.5 until I bought these shoes. Even with a half-size larger they are still a bit cramped in the toe. Aside from issues with fit I love these shoes. Style and quality are excellent.

These shoes fit great for my foot. Maybe a little wide for some people because I'm usually a wide and the standard widths fit me perfect. The sole has good flex and the insole has a decent amount of arch support and heel cushioning. I'm actually very impressed with how comfortable these are. I can walk in these for days with no complaints. I've even worn them without socks and they're still comfortable. I have a feeling the sole may wear out quickly on these. The white powder that gives the vintage look wears off after about 2 weeks. They still look great, though. I would definitely recommend these to a friend and would most likely purchase again if I wear them out.

I bought the pair in black and the size and quality are great. The leather sole is good but a layer of rubber would have made this the perfect business shoe and for walking my typical 30 blocks a day.

About Frye
Frye's current Harness Boots are rooted in tradition and continue to draw influence from the Cavalry. Today the classic Harness Boot holds a place in American culture. The Frye Harness Boot has been pictured in fashion spreads internationally. In 1938, on a trip to Washington, D.C., John A. Frye's grandson and namesake met a U.S. Navy Admiral who confided that he had trouble finding the Wellington boots he liked so much. As a favor, John agreed to make him a pair. Frye continued to fill requests for these boots through the Second World War. During World War II, Frye supplied thousands of servicemen with Frye Wellington boots, known as Jet Boots, by mail order.
In the 1960's, Frye reintroduced the Campus Boot, from its 1860 original, featuring a bulky toe and chunky heel that came to epitomize the attitude and the style of the 60's and 70's. There was nothing like these "new" Frye Boots on the market, and consumers began to demand "Original Fryes." When searching for items to represent the America of the 60's, the Smithsonian Institute chose a pair of Frye Boots.
The quality of all Frye shoes is timeless. For almost 150 years, Frye leather products have continued to be benchcrafted from the finest full grain leather uppers. It takes over 190 steps to make one pair of Frye boots. Frye remains dedicated to the commitment of craftsmanship for which Frye boots and Frye shoes have been known for more than 100 years.

Very pleased with fit and style of this shoe. However, within a month of purchase, the right heel came off! I was at work when it happened; luckily, there is a shoe repair in my office building. I got it fixed (and paid for the repair) but I will return if there are any more problems. Very disappointing.

Love the shoes. I got them because I needed a casual shoe that I could wear with brown or black. These are sharp, well-made, and trigger compliments from everyone (not kidding). Only thing is they are not very comfortable. But I don't buy shoes for comfort, I buy them for looks. Yeah, I'm vain like that. But if you are too? Then you can't go wrong with these!

I have only owned these a short time, but they are one of the most comfortable pair of shoes I own. They're extremely well built, and super stylish. I can't wait to buy the black pair. I ordered the 10.5, which is my standard size, but I could have probably gotten away with a 10.

My husband loves these - I ordered them for him for Valentine's Day, and let him open a few days early. They look great, and really look as good as a $400+ pair I found at J. Crew. Very classic, but also trendy. Obviously they are Frye, so comfort is never an issue.

Love these shoes! Very cool styling...putting a contemporary look to a classic wingtip. I ordered a size 12 originally (my usual size) but needed to move up to a 13. Those fit great though. A surprisingly comfortable shoe after only a couple wears. I would buy these again in a heartbeat!

These are a great pair of work shoes...with a little bit of an edge. Of course, great quality from Frye - these things ought to last a long time. I got a pair of the James in the past and it has held up wonderfully. Runs 1/2 size big. Zappos rules!

Really comfortable, classy enough to get away with something mildly fancy, like a wedding. Maybe too fancy for everyday, but that depends on you. They look great and they're built great, too. I bought the oxfords after these because I liked them so much. The oxfords are way thicker then these, almost like a boot that ends at the ankle. If you're looking for something a little more heavy duty I'd go for those. I'd buy these again for sure.

Just got these in the mail. The 10.5 fit. Here are my sizes: Red Wing 9.5 Chuck Taylor 10.5 Adidas 11 most dress shoes 10-10.5 These are good quality shoes. They are comfortable, because they are more "foot-shaped" inside than a lot of dress shoes, most of which tend to ignore the form of an actual human foot, with toe-pinching results. These have no arch support, but that's okay with me, because I have flat feet. The only problem with these shoes is that the raw-colored leather soles and welts make it hard to coordinate these shoes with very many pants.

I have never purchased Frye shoes before but I was drawn to the style and design. I have to say I am thrilled with my purchase. They are very comfortable and I really like the weathered look. Most reviews mentioned ordering the shoe a 1/2 size smaller, but I found that they fit better at my normal size (9.5). Of course, I had to order them twice to learn that, but Zappos' return policy makes it so easy to ship things back; the only inconvenience is having to go to the post office. Great job Zappos!

I really love the design and styling of these shoes - it has a very nice vintage brogue look/appeal. The shoes feel great and appear to be well constructed. With that being said I'm hoping that that these Frye's give me many years of wear and satisfaction.

Love the design and styling of this shoe. Even though it is not made in the USA, it is well constructed and appears to be made for years of wear.
