I ordered these shoes because of the style and leather lining. I have high expectations of the overall quality. I read the reviews before purchasing my first pair. At age 64, I am lucky to have very good, healthy feet and no need of support. I take an 8.5 - 9 Narrow shoe, and chose to order a 9 in this model. They feel just right! They wouldn't stay on my feet if I ordered a full size up, as recommended by many customers. My big toe is right up to the end of the shoe, but they feel very comfortable. If your feet are narrow, I recommend buying your normal size!

These are very comfortable shoes that make you feel almost like you are barefoot. They do run small, so I ordered one size up and they fit perfectly. I have gotten several compliments on them and they go with everything.

I was a ballet dancer when I was younger and I just knew I\'d love the style and fit of these shoes. I ordered a 9 and I am usually either an 8 1/2 or a 9. The 9 was a little snug but they have stretched out a bit and are comfortable. I do wish that they were a bit cheaper, but I am pleased with the purchase overall.\r\n

These shoes are great looking flats, although they are not as marbled in person as they appear in the picture. There is also not a lot of support in the shoe, but I did not expect there to be. I also agree that you need to order 1/2 size up. They were still snug at first, but loosened up perfectly within the first wearing.

I felt these were a little snug so I'm ordering the next size up. I will take in to consideration some people felt they stretched out a bit. So maybe snug at first is okay. I was definitely hesitant on spending this much on shoes that look just like the ones I got from Target for probably one fifth the price. The quality is better though.

I love the comfort of these flats! I've been looking for a pair of flats that wouldn't be so narrow! I have somewhat of an average wide foot. These flats are perfect. They make my foot look just perfect. I've received a few compliments. I'm astonished, since I bought the plain suede ones. So I can only imagine how many compliments Ill get on my next pair! I'm an 8 1/2 with a thin pair of socks or pumps without socks! and I wear a 9 nine if I'm using a thicker sock with the shoe. So I read the reviews stating that they run small and I went with a 9. They seem just perfect on my bare feet, not too tight. I can tell they'll be great after a few wears. I highly recommend these flats to anyone. Stop searching! These are perfect!

These shoes are fantastic! My feet are a bit wide, and these do not pinch, unlike other ballet flats. They are extremely comfortable, almost feels like you are wearing slippers to work! And I get complimented on them all the time. I will be buying more French Sole Shoes.

I wanted to love these shoes, I really did. They have all of the potential to be loved by me, really they do. I like the patent version and also the suede version alike. My problem is that they come up too far on my foot and seem like I'm wearing a slipper instead of a flat, and it just seems odd for some reason. They feel really great on, and the tiny wedge is just the right height so you don't see it, and they look flat, but give a little lift, and shape your legs a bit. I love the idea of these shoes, but sadly, they are too slipper-like for me to hang on to. Maybe I just need some toe cleavage?

I wrote a review about how darn cute these shoes are and I'm so sad that I'm returning them, and the Tourist, because they are just not comfortable. My Acorn slippers have more support. What a shame, because they are super cute and the metallic color is great. Way too flimsy. I wore them shopping all day today and my feet are killing me. Boohoo.

Not for all day walking! I felt so guilty buying such expensive flats but once I tried them on, they were so darn comfy I had to keep them. So we go on vacation and me and my flats spent a lot of time walking, and well, the width is great. My feet are small and wide so I thought it was adorable that the shoes looked like my feet before I even put them on! Unfortunately, it was a bit rainy one day on vacation and the suede didn't hold up so well. I'm going to find some suede cleaner (?) and try to fix my little spot o' water. Also, we did a lot of sightseeing and I found these shoes to be a little on the uncomfy side on the top of the shoe, probably because I was still breaking them in, and my little toes wanted to be in open-toes that day. But overall, a good shoe. I would be a lot more happy about this purchase if these shoes had been about a third less. To me, that's what they are worth.

I am in love with these shoes! They fit my feet perfectly and are so cute, for dresses, skirts, or jeans. They are 100% true to size. I am definitely ordering them in other colors! I just needed some cute brown flats, and I got these in the Brown Tejus. Definitely 100% worth it!

I have the Sloop in bronze metallic suede and they are unique and looked beautiful in the beginning and although didn\'t stay that way they still look ok and I still wear them. Needing a black flat and still wanting something that looks unique and beautiful I saw these and thought they would look like black marble with the same dark/lighter pattern as the brown and dark red ones. In reality, they are super shiny and very black without any discernable markings of lighter color. They almost look like shiny black plastic! They are also too tight in the toe area and don\'t fit in my size as my other pair does so if I did like them, I would have to go up at least 1/2 size in these.

This shoe is beautiful -- soft, supple leather and elegant styling. The red/orange color is lovely. The fit is comfortable and natural.

Such a cute shoe. Too bad it's too wide. I have somewhat narrow feet, but usually standard widths fit me fine. These are just too wide. Also, as said in other reviews, they really feel like a slipper and not necessarily a shoe with the kind of support I would want if I was walking around in them all day.

The rose fell off and the shoe runs small. I ordered these; wore them 3 times and walking in the dark to my car the rose on one of them fell off. Boo! I loved these shoes, but with no rose on one foot, these shoes are worthless.

Shoes have to be comfortable and my first pair of French Soles is wonderful. This one was the same size 10 as my other, but it was too narrow and too short. I wear a 9.5 to a 10 usually, but I have a wide toe base. The shoe is darling, but better for a narrow foot.

A great shoe, I have received several compliments on them. I wish I had ordered my true size, not 1/2 size larger. They seemed to have stretched out a bit since I bought them.

I bought these shoes because the reviews were good, and I was looking for a good pair of flats. I got them in my normal size, and admittedly they were a bit tight when I first got them, but after about a week they were stretched out a bit, and really comfortable. I am a ballet flats queen, and I wore my last pair of ballet flats 3-4 days a week all day. They were made of cloth, cost me $30, and held up for nearly 3 years. I bought these shoes 4 months ago, and already the upper part of the shoe has unattached from the sole. I feel obligated to wear them since I paid so much for them, but I must admit I was disappointed in the quality, and I am back in the market for a good pair of black flats.

I just received my second pair of FS Zeppas and I love these as much as the first pair. I have the black patent marble this time. I've worn them all day and they are as comfortable as slippers. Size-wise I bought my normal size, which is 10. Since these are worn without socks, it's a very close fit, like a real ballet slipper, and since the leather is soft it just molds to my foot. I've tried size 11 in the regular Sloop and the Zeppa, but they were way too big. My foot is fairly wide. Zeppas make my foot look a bit smaller since there's ample toe and side coverage, and the inch wedge heel offers a nice little bit of lift. By the way, I'm a teacher and do a lot of walking and standing all day. Love these!

Really am enjoying these. I had to return the first order which was my usual size. They run small. One half size up fit well and they are really charming and comfortable. The brown marble color goes with all my fall pants and looks good with black too.

Cute flat shoe. Sloop is almost like a slipper, so if your looking for support to wear these all day you might be disappointed. \r\n\r\nI ordered 1/2 size up and it fit snug but after a few hours wear it now is perfect. \r\n\r\nI did order 2 other pairs of Sloop, both in the same size and each pair fit a little differently. I needed to return one pair because it was to big.\r\n\r\nCare should be taken if you are wearing it outdoors. The shoe has very little sole and easily picks up dirt.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

These shoes are lovely. They are flats and are not meant to stand in all day; however, they are just fine for the evening or church. The craftsmanship is much higher quality than other flats I have purchased, and Zappos got them to me overnight at no added expense.

Perfect fit! They are the cutest, most comfortable flats ever. They're simple, but I wear them with just about everything. It took about 1 week to break them in, now they fit like household slippers. I've gotten them for my sisters as birthday presents. Would recommend, for those looking for everyday flats, to run errands in, run about with the kids, or even for casual work place.

I ordered these shoes up 1/2 size like the previous reviews recommended, however, they were tight across the top of the foot. So I sent them back and ordered up another 1/2 size and they were still tight across the top of the foot. Other than that, the shoes were very soft and comfy, but I was afraid they’d be too big if I ordered another 1/2 size larger, so those went back, too!

The design of the shoes is what makes French Sole stand out from the plethora of companies that have sought to emulate their formula for success. Only French Sole combines a true ballerina fit (each shoe molds to the wearer’s foot) for the ultimate in comfort with cutting edge fashion and a selection that is unmatched – qualities that clients come to expect and appreciate from French Sole Shoes. But aside from the myriad variety of ballet and other shoes available, it’s the people behind French Sole that have really made it a success.

French Sole Shoes is owned by Randy Ochart, who has passionately focused on designing, manufacturing and marketing the hottest ballet flats in the world from Spain, Italy, France and Brazil. When asked about the future of ballerinas as a category, Ochart explained, “In a phase when it seems that everybody feels the need to re-invent the ballerina, we stand alone as specialists. The extraordinary factories we have worked with for so many years understand the distinction between a ballerina and a flat shoe with a string attached.” The fit, look, and “hand” of a ballerina is what French Sole is about, not just a hot trend.
