I love this bag so much. My only minor complaint is that I wish the tote straps were just a tiny bit shorter, or were adjustable.

This is just as described. Besides a button on the strap was pressed on incorrectly and does not work. That is a fault of Fjallraven, though. Not Zappos. The bag was sealed in plastic by the manufacturer. I just did not want to wait for weeks to get another one, so I kept it. Besides it does not affect the pack. The material is not canvas as it looks, but it does seem very water resistant. It reminds me of thick tent material. Very light pack. If you have got the cash to blow on a backpack, then it is definitely a cool pack that is fairly basic. Do it, you know you want it.

This little-ish backpack is awesome. I can fit my 13" Macbook Air, toiletry bag, sunglasses case, make-up bag, and little lunch cooler in here with ease...and with room to spare, especially with the zippered pocket on the front. The form stays even if it isn't full, and is clearly well-made and durable. It is comfortable with padded straps, and I find that the snapped handle on the top is not only handy, but extra security while commuting on the metro. It is made to be packed like one would pack a rolling suitcase -- lay it down flat and open the top, pack it up, zip it, and it's ready to go. When I have children, this is the company they'll get schoolbags from. Comfortable, durable, and stylish.

Great bag. Sturdy and well made. Perfect size for my 3 1/2 year old to bring everything he needs to summer day camp! (Change of clothes, towel and lunch box!)

It is such a cute backpack. I especially love the separate compartment designed for the laptop: easy to get my laptop in and out and no mixing up with my other stuff. The padded shoulder straps are very comfortable as well. It is smaller than the regular backpack though (e.g., Jansport superbreak), almost the same dimension as a 13' laptop (they make a 15' model if you prefer a normal sized backpack). The two side pocket are useless though (not wide enough to fit any water bottle).

A fantastic backpack. Recommend it highly. I am 5.9 and the medium backpack fits on my back perfectly.

Great little bag for the beach/hiking/trips. Instead of my normal beach tote bag I thought I'd invest in a backpack so that I could take it hiking as well. This bag is a good size it fits multiple sunscreens, a light jacket, sunglasses, my phone in the side pocket, my wallet, water bottle, snacks, and has room for more. I'm a petite 5'3 and the size works great for me! It seems well made and sturdy, not to mention uniquely styled, worth the extra money!

Beautiful and functional! This bag is a great size, holds iPhone, wallet, keys, with plenty of room to spare. Can be worn around neck, crossbody, or around waist. The cloth is sort of a waxed cotton and the fox is adorable. A great buy!!

The size is perfect, not too big and bulky, not too small and ridiculous. The pack fits just right, ending at the small of my back. It is pretty simply designed, which is what I like. There is only one outside zippered pocket and one open envelope pocket inside for files or tablet/laptop. I like everything about this pack, but I wish that it had a keyring, because keys get lost in that one zip pocket.

These are great little bags. Just the right size for my 2 and 3 year olds. The way that these are constructed is just perfect, the straps are set closer together (in a good way) so that the backpack stays on their back. They are the perfect size, for anyone who wants an idea of just what would fit in one. Here's what we have in it on a daily basis with some room to spare. 1 water bottle, 1 bottle of sunscreen, 1 change of clothes, a small toy of some kind, school papers...so, basically perfect for camp/preschool, etc.

Excellent bag. Straps are a great length but can dig into shoulder after a while since there's no padding. Fits a surprisingly large amount of stuff without appearing bulky.

The strap was long enough to go across my shoulder. The color was gorgeous. It was so wonderfully made that I'm sure it will last a lifetime. It is the perfect size, not bulky but big enough to fit two book, my Nook, all my personal things and a sandwich. As someone who owns over forty purses (I've been collecting for twenty years) I'm not sure if I'll ever use another. Fantastic. It's handsome enough to use at work and the color is so pretty I'll even use it for dates. This thing will never leave my side.

In true Swedish form this jacket is simplistically styled but offers maximum function. It performs perfectly in the outdoors as a wind and water repellent jacket, breathing and bending where it should and also lends rugged sophistication to any dressy casual event around town. It gets lots of compliments and is surprisingly a conversation starter. The fit is awesome and trim. I am totally happy with this jacket and brand.

I had been looking for a little backpack for some time and happened across this one. It is really perfect for what I needed. I try to be as minimalist a woman as possible, but there is plenty of room in it to hold my wallet, keys, lipsticks, cell, a banana, a paperback, and my nalgene bottle. The only qualm I have is that the outside material is a bit stiff and the straps aren't super comfy, but it definitely serves its purpose well in keeping out the weather and holding my junk. BE ADVISED: There are a lot of complaints on here about this bag being too small. It is a small bag, as stated in its product title "MINI," (duh). If you are looking for something to hold your school books or your pet chihuahua, this isn't it. Though, it is a fashionable, awesome, and convenient alternative to the ordinary handbag.

I had been looking for a fashionable spring/summer rain jacket for some time and read about this Swedish brand on Esquire. The jacket is outstanding but definitely runs a size large (I'm typically a medium and the small fits perfectly). They aren't kidding when they advertise the G1000 fabric as rugged. This is a durable jacket and is very well made. The best part? You can alter the weather-proofing and breathability. You can coat this jacket with their own branded wax then use a heat gun to absorb it into the fabric (you can purchase the wax for $10 or so online or in stores). Applying more wax makes the jacket more water repellant, while washing the jacket in the laundry and air-drying it will rinse the wax away and make the coat more breathable. Very high quality coat to battle the elements, but I wouldn't spend this kind of money for something to hike in.

This backpack is awesome. It is beautiful-- the fabric is a nice weight and the color is fantastic (I got ochre). I disagree with the previous reviewer's complaints about it not being functional. For instance, you don't need to unclip both front clips to get to the front pocket, you can just loosen the straps for easy access. It's a nice, light weight and pretty small, but it holds a lot. And yes, it is a minimal bag, so if you're looking for something with a lot of pockets and key hooks, look elsewhere. I think the front pocket is a good size, big enough to hold keys, phone, sunglasses, but small enough that those things won't get lost in there. Anyhow, I hemmed and hawed about whether or not to buy this bag for weeks, mostly due to price, but it was definitely a worthwhile purchase. Thanks, Zappos!

This might be the best material gift I've ever received. First, the bag has several compartments that make it functional, which is a quality any bag should have. The laptop compartment is very hand and makes the bag great for the office. Second, the stiffly-padded back section is comfortable and provides a nice buffer if any awkwardly shaped items are in the bag. This prevents any lopsidedness against one's back. Lastly, and most importantly, this is the best looking backpack I've seen that works for the office. I'm an attorney and I like the idea of a bag for the office that has a good capacity that also doesn't scream seriousness and self-importance.

High-quality, durable, stylish and versatile backpack. It will last for years with little to no maintenance. The material is waterproof. Great as for work stuff or a day pack for hiking/the beach, the bag gets compliments wherever it goes. I love it.

This bag is great! It fits snugly on my petite frame and still has room for everything I haul around. Plus it's durable and structured: when it isn't packed full, it doesn't sag. I love the simple, retro design: minimal doo-dads and a place for everything. I can even fit my bike lock with my computer in the back compartment for quick access on my commute.

I bought the forest green and all I can say is it's gorgeous. It's a bit darker in person, you can barely tell it's green. I am a college student, a science major, and a junior. So my load is not light at all. I can fit two moderately sized books and two plastic notebook binders, one moleskine notebook, a pencil pouch, two small books, one graphing calculator, one small fuzzy makeup bag. Then in the back, I put my 13 inch macbook air. The bag is absolutely loaded at this point and it's not that comfortable -- at all. This is maxed and it's really heavy compared to my North Face backpack. So, I bought two backpacks to switch. I generally have two separate groupings of class periods, so I have a Monday, Wednesday, Friday backpack and then I have a Tuesday, Thursday backpack. I know that's expensive and wasteful, but it's so darn cute that I couldn't help myself. One thing I love about this bag is that I don't have to dig anymore! I slap it on a table or chair and unzip both ends by pulling and the bag opens up like a lunch box! I can find everything like you could in a brief case. It's so smart. The padding is moderate on the back, for the laptop. If you have a heavy laptop, I would suggest extra padding. The bag is amazingly well built and sturdy. It is hard and stiff for the first couple of weeks, but after some good use, she loosens up and is very soft. I love the straps on the laptop kanken because they are reinforced with padding. It's much more comfortable than the regular straps. I will say this, you must consider how large your notebooks are. I had some extra long binders and they infringe on the side pockets -- big time. So I had to get smaller binders. I would suggest taking your backpack to the bookstore (or wherever) and fit the binders in there. If you have really big books, be aware that they won't allow for those side pockets. And that can be not so fun if it's rainy and you need to put your umbrella somewhere...or a water bottle. I have a contigo 24 oz water bottle that fits perfectly. So you can stick a fat water bottle in that side pocket. You can stick a good amount of stuff in it though, as long as the stuff in your backpack doesn't impede on those sides. I have mine fitting perfectly, only because my books aren't especially large this semester. I usually record my class periods and take notes, so I review my notes while I'm on campus instead of always lugging my big books around. You can always get the ebook too, which I have for most of my expensive science books. I also carry an iPad mini...that helps reduce the whole book problem. If you take notes on a computer, then this bag is perfect for you! Because it's light and so roomy, and very stylish. I have had it for three weeks and can't put it down. I love it. I use it to go everywhere. It's so soft and broken in now. My water bottle has widened the side pocket a bit too. Oh, and the top handles are so convenient. When you're on the bus and it's packed, you don't have to worry about swinging your bag over your shoulder and hitting someone, you just hold it like a purse and you're golden! I love that. It doesn't have fancy stuff like the Herschel Little America (headphone port) or the North Face (one million pockets) but I promise if you get this bag, it's simplicity will keep you a fan. I have dug in my North Face for three years...searching endlessly at the bottom of pockets...but not in my kanken. Everything fits like a bento box It's a stellar bag. If you can afford less load and have compartmentalized your load in devices like tablets and computers -- then this is a bag for you. I have realized I do most of my hard studying in my room, I use my computer to do almost everything at school. As long as you have that ebook, you'll be fine! The bag is not waterproof, but you can wax it with the fjallraven wax. It is still pretty water resistant in rain though. This bag is wicked in the summer too! No more sweaty back! If you're looking for something unique on campus, this is it. Kanken will force you to simplify, but you'll be glad you did.

I'm currently in school taking more classes than I probably ought to; therefore, I find myself having a lot to lug around on a daily basis. While I do enjoy having faster access to my stuff with my usual over the shoulder briefcase, my spine protested. This is a bit pricey for a just a book bag, but the quality is obvious in the crafting. It doesn't lose its dashing rectangular shape, has awesome handles for when I have to carry it in hand, it's sturdy enough that I feel comfortable setting in the floor, and has no magnets that worry me a bit when I have to throw in my electronics. Oh yeah, my 15" laptop fits in nicely. It suits my rugged urban lifestyle quiet tastefully; I'm very happy to have it.
