These follow in the foots steps of a long line of great shoes. The Fader model has gotten a lot of use and if you like the previous versions this one will not disappoint. Nice attention to detail and very good wearing shoe. I have yet to find out if these will develope the squeak that all my previous faders have shown. I can live with if that is the case.
I really like these shoes but they make this squeaking sound when you wear them with socks. Other than that they have good grip.
So far they have been great, I use them for around the house but I have gone outside with them they have a nice high to them so my feet don't get wet in small puddles.
My husband says these shoes are really comfortable. The only thing he doesn't like it there is no place to lace the laces through the tongue to hold it in place. He said it's fine though as it doesn't slip.
While I am more than thrilled Etnies decided to do a throwback and bring the Lo-Cut II out again, the new Lo-Cut II LS version is not quite made to the quality of its elder namesake. Anyone as familiar with the original Lo-Cut II's will remember their vastly overstuffed tongue and padding. The original exterior materials ranged from suede to leather to vinyl; however, the new LS materials are a bit cheaper looking and feeling. The new shoes are not as wide as the originals and as such will require a bit more "breaking in" to get accustomed to. The only recent competition to these would be the color combo's available from Nike's Mogan 6.0 Zooms. Some more choices wouldn't hurt. Something like the original Lo-Cut II color palette would be nice.
These shoes are awesome! Fat tongue skate shoes and they're vegan and they support autism awareness. What could be better?
I could not be more pleased with these. The color is spot on to the picture. Really nice washed out dark navy tone. I took the advice of the other reviewers that they run about a half size large so I ordered an 11. Depending on the brand I wear an 11 or 12 and happened to get lucky with these. Just got them today so I can't speak on how they'll hold up, but they seem well made, at least comparatively to my Simples Sno tires which they're replacing, and the sole definitely seems thicker/more solid than my Simples. As others have said, these are definitely a narrower shoe, which happens to work for me since they fit snug (not tight) without socks, partly because the tongue is attached via a stretchy material on both sides. I can definitely see the width being a problem even if you don't have particularly wide feet. Overall, I'm super pleased and definitely recommend these as a super comfortable, much cleaner/less adolescent looking alternative to Converse, old school Vans, etc.
These are decent shoes. The sides and tongue have lots of padding. I got the black/textile and the textile material creases a bit so if you are obsessive about perfection that might bother you. I like the shoes and am considering buying them in white.
Once again, these don't disappoint. This is my second pair, and they took about a day to break in; now they are so comfy! I wear them to my day job (I walk a good 4-5 blocks at least once a day), and to my night job (working at a bar, on my feet for 6 more hours), and they are the most comfortable shoes I've had in a long time. I just wish that there were more colors.
I am in love with this shoe. I read the reviews and initially ordered a 1/2 size larger, which turned out to be a mistake. My regular size 6 even seemed a little loose, but after a day of wearing them they are molded to my feet. I love them. They are light, breathable, and still comfy after an 8 hour shift on my feet. I wish there were more colors; I'll be ordering the black and white ones today.
What intrigued me to these shoes was there support for Autism Speaks as our son is autistic with Asbergers. These shoes are excellent not only for their cause but they have held up very well for our teenage boy. I am very impressed with their quality and will be ordering these again!
I got these shoes before and they skated great they didn't rip for about a year and were the first shoes I skated that I grew out of before ripping.
I ended up buying two pair of these shoes for my son. It is hard to find his size in a good quality shoe, but he is very happy with this brand and style. Thanks to Zappos for their great service!
Alas, I am not a skater. I brandish these to show my snowboarding roots. These are good kicks. I went with these over my usual globes because of the budget. If I were a skater I may prefer these over globes because they have great feel. My next choice was fallen shoes but the Etnie's won out. My next pair of shoes though...they're going to be a pair old old man style New Balance hook and loops in black. Those old bastards know what's up in my opinion, going to be great for walking and I miss Velcro shoes!
Their service was very fast and the price with great. I would order from Zappos again and highly recommend you check out there deals. My son really liked the shoes.
Just got these in the mail, I thought they were black but they are actually navy. still a nice looking shoe, and very comfortable. Zappos is great with fast free shipping! You guys should sell shoe laces though.
I bought these as a gift for my 26 year old son. He loved them! And, they arrived on my doorstep the day after I ordered them.
These are a cuter version of Tom's. I liked the styling, but the fit was not a match. I am between a 6 1/2 and 7. I ordered the size 7 when I walked the shoe would pop off my heels. But if I switch to 6 1/2, I think these shoes would be too small.
Beware! The blue and black 'fader' is no longer the nice soft suede upper they had a couple years ago. They have changed to some action leather crap paired with the cheapest insoles ever. I sit in a cubicle all day and these are too uncomfortable to wear! Bring back the original 'fader' please!
