Etienne Aigner Reviews
Finally- boots that look great, great quality AND are sized for more realistic calves! They were snug on my legs at first, but after an hour just wearing while making a smoothie and watching tv I found the soft leather had already formed nicely around my ankles and tat I could zip them up easily (only needed 1 hand). The embossing detail, shape of the boot and a small heel really make these boots! The sole is flexible, but I did go up a half size because my feet a kind of wide, but the width was perfect- no pinched toes! I did put SuperFeet in (blue) and after a short walk they were perfect. Highly recommend these boots! And Zappos is awesome, as usual :)
I would definitely recommend these boots. I have 17 1/2 inch athletic calves and at 21 I've never owned a pair of leather boots because of this. They fit on my legs with room to spare and flare away from your calf a bit on the top so that your legs look longer and not "calf heavy." My only issue was that they run pretty narrow. I've never had issues with the width of my shoes but when I first tried these boots on I was convinced I should send them back. Thankfully I didnt because with just 3-4 wears and some stretching techniques they are *almost* totally comfortable. Still hoping they stop pinching my right pinky toe eventually though... If you do not have overly wide feet but wide calves these shoes are a no brainer. Beautiful leather, well made, and very fashionable. Other wide calf boots that fit me: Lumiani (Laila Wide Calf). these are a different look (soft leather) and are a bit tighter on my calves but I would also recommend these if you are looking for other wide calf boot options. These are also more comfortable (wider and softer in the footbed) than Etienne Aigner. Happy shoe hunting!
I love the look of these boots but sadly they are too tight. The shaft was a little tight and they were tight around my instep. They were fine while I was sitting down but were uncomfortable when I stood and walked in them. I'm a believer in comfortable shoes so these won't work for me. They are lovely boots though for someone else. Well made and beautiful leather.
Got these today. They are not that comfortable as other reviews state. I wore them for few hours and my feet were aching, they feel inflamed :( There is no arch support whatsoever, so, if you have high arches, wahtch for pain. I am still keeping them, and hoping they will soften up a bit, and they do look nice and seem to be well made.
Although these are promoted as wide calf, they need more width in the ankle. I have 16.5 inch calves. I could not even zip these over my ankles, and they would have been too tight on the calves as well. I was very sad, as these are beautifully made boots.
I wear a size 7 and have 15.5 inch calves. I thought I would be safe with the 17 inch circumference stated on the product information. I could barely zip this boot up on my bare skin and there is no way I would have been able to tuck jeans or even jeggings into this boot. They were too tight to even wear without anything on under them. They are beautiful and I am so sad that they don't fit right. I have to send them back.
Love these boots! They rubbed a bit the first time I wore them and gave me a blister, but that tends to happen with any new shoe for me. By the second time they were better and the third perfect. Fits perfectly around my calf. Ordered a 1/2 size up, could've used the smaller size but they were out of stock. Still very pleased with the boot.
These boots are fabulous! After years and years of dance and soccer growing up, I cannot fit regular boots over my calve. Thankfully, these boots come in a Wide Shaft and feet great with extra room to spare. They are super comfortable too! I wore them for 8 hours the first time I put them on my feet and my feet never hurt. Great purchase!
These are great boots. They are really versatile, so you can dress them up or down, and it's also a classic style. The best thing about them is that, if you have any calf muscle, the boots are cut with ample room where you need it at the mid-calf area, as opposed to some wide calf boots that have room only at the top of the boot. I have 16.5" athletic calves, and they fit well with room to spare for skinny jeans or tights. They were a bit stiff when I first tried them on, but then they quickly molded to fit my feet and legs. Overall, I'm really happy with these boots.
finally a boot that fits my wide calf that isn't entirely stretch material. I found these beauties at a famous footwear shop for way less. love the motorcycle-esque look. shafts are a bit stiff but as with most leather I'm sure they'll soften & loosen a bit over time.
Beautiful boot! Exactly what I was searching for! Of course, found the same boot for the cost at Marshalls a few days ago, but not in wide calf! What a shame that you have to pay a lot more to simply get a boot that is an additional inch around your calf!
These boots are FABULOUS! After years and years of dance and soccer growing up, I cannot fit regular boots over my calve. Thankfully, this boots come in a Wide Shaft and feet great with extra room to spare. They are super comfortable too! Everything was great about this boot but the calf. Not quite as big as indicated. Sad, beautiful boot otherwise.
These boots are as advertised - wide calf. I have a narrow foot and 18" calves, and these boots zip up over my jeggings. The leather is beautiful with a high quality sheen - a bit stiff at first as some have mentioned, but very good-looking. If I hadn't found black boots last year, I would have bought these in two colors. I got the banana bread brown, and they look like saddle leather. I'm very happy with them. Oh, I usually wear an 8 but the half size up fit best. So to me they "run" small.
These fit my 16.5" calves perfectly, and looked great. I'm 5'7.5", and the length was also really good. Unfortunately, the heel just didn't do it for me, and I'm returning them.

I have to say Zappos speedy delivery isn't what it used to be. I remember ordering shoes from Zappos and being so pleasantly surprised when they arrived the next day, with free shipping! I received these boots a week after I ordered them. Now about the boots, the foot is comfy and I'm keeping them, but the circumference is almost too wide for my calf, and I have a wide calf. Also the shaft, at 16" high, hits right under the back of my knee when I sit down and is really uncomfortable (I'm 5'3"). I considered exchanging them for the regular Chip, to get a smaller circumference but that shaft is 16 1/2" high and would be even more uncomfortable under my knee. I'm hoping the leather will eventually soften and be more comfy under my knee.
These boots are very very cute. Thy fit nicely. I have smaller ankles and wider calves and this boot unlike a lot of other wide calf boots was not wider all the way down the shaft. I wore them for the first time today and they looked great, I got a lot of compliments. However they are a little uncomfortable. My heel and my ankle are really sore from the stiffness of the leather. I'm hoping they will be broken in soon because they are definitely very stylish.
