Etienne Aigner Reviews
Simple and sleek, maybe a bit too simple but I've been looking for narrow shaft black flat riding boots for months and am giving up. A possible caution for petite sizes -- the shaft is a bit high and isn't as narrow as I would like (I am 5'4" with skinny calves) but I think perhaps as they break in the ankle will slouch a bit and they won't seem so tall. But like I said, I am putting my long search to an end with these. (Thanks, Zappos, for your patience, by the way.)
Super comfortable boots! I just got them 2 days ago and I can't stop wearing them. The leather feels soft and I have skinny calves and I am not swimming in them as it is usually the case for me. I wish I could buy them in all other colors. Zappos please get more size 7 in other colors!
I am 5'10" with very thin calves and these boots fit perfectly. They are also very comfortable - wore them to work all day - no breaking in necessary.
I really liked these boots. The stretchy part in the back is great because it keeps the top of the boot tight when I'm wearing tights, but allows more room if I want to tuck in a pair of jeans. I didn't think the man made leather took away from the look of the boot, I think they are cute. I have what I would call normal size calves (about 12 inches) and these boots fit perfectly around them. I would recommend these boots.
Love these boots. I got them in brown around the holidays and wear them constantly. They were comfortable from day one. I can even run in them. :)
Quality is average but great for skinny calves! I can rarely find a boot to fit because my legs are too thin, these really work for even the thinnest legs. Could be worn with tights or skinny jeans.
I am 5'4", 122 pounds and the boots came to the bend in my knee perfectly. I love these boots. I wear a 7½ or 8, and ordered an 8, after reading reviews and measuring my leg. I think I got the last camel pair. Yay for me! The color is perfect and the fit classic and slimming. The ankle is snug, but not uncomfortable with a slight slouch. These are gorgeous boots. I ordered them one evening and they were waiting on me when got home from work the next day. They are incredible! The trademark speedy service and shipping of Zappos! I especially like the video of products to help make decision and see features.
I bought these boots for a trip to Colorado. I love them! They are a little wider (in the calf area) than I anticipated but they look great on. My calf measures 15", so these are a bit bigger but they work. I get lots of compliments. They worked great in cold weather but they can be worn out in cool California evenings, too.
Love these boots. I looked forever before I bought a pair of riding boots and I'm glad I chose these. The leather is great quality and they look really nice. As mentioned in other reviews, they are on the narrow side and I would say my calves are pretty small and these fit me perfectly. So if your calves are big at all, these will be too tight. I can really only fit tights or super skinny jeans in them.
I love the free shipping/free returns from zappos. excellent selection, anything you want, they have it.
I love these boots. They are stylish and can be dressed up or down. I find them to be a bit more comfortable than another pair of Etienne Aigner boots that I own, but I found the sizing to be different from the other pair as well. I have normal width feet and I have found these to be a little tight. After several wears they have stretched out a small amount, but you may want to order 1/2 a size up to accommodate for the width. Otherwise they are comfortable for walking around town or sitting around the office.
Keep in mind that the bigger your shoe size the larger the circumference of the calf...read the whole description which will tell you that the boot dimensions are for XX size. I think this calf dimension of 16 3/4 is for a size 8.5 or 9. That's where I made my mistake!
These are great all around black boots. I wear black ankle boots during the Fall/Winter and got these to replace I pair that I finally beat up. They look sharp with jeans or slacks. I'm a solid size 9 and these do feel a little big, but not so big that an 8.5 would fit. My only real complaint is that they rubbed the back of my leg at the top of the boot. I usually wear sports ankle socks with my boots and had to get knee socks for these. Otherwise they were perfect right out of the box.
Best. Boots. Ever. I received these boots on Monday and I've worn them three times already. Got them, zipped them up over my jeans and my ginormous calves and they still look fabulous. The leather is supple and rich and the style is classy. I'm 5'8 with long legs and these boots come almost to my knees. Love them! Took me three ties, but these are worth the wait.
I really like this boot! I was looking for something that was classy and would go with anything, but had a slight edge and these boots are it. The little emblem on the side is cute and makes the boot look expensive. The calves are a bit tighter than other boots I've tried on, but I still have room once I zip it up. I have thinner calves, but are also muscular and they fit fine. If you have bigger calves this boot isn't for you. There isn't anything I don't like about this boot!
Love these boots! They are the perfect riding boot, casual but not too clunky and they look great with casual skirts or jeans without being too hot for wearing indoors all day long.
Gorgeous boots but...they don't fit my 7.5 foot with 16 1/2 calf and 14" shaft. I measured and prayed but couldn't get them zipped. Maybe a size bigger would work. The circumference is not 16 3/4 on a 7.5 shoe. This is a beautiful boot and wish I could keep them but will have to return. Be sure you measure your calf and shaft before buying.
These boots are gorgeous. Beautiful color and texture and style. Unfortunately I have to send them back because they are too tall (I'm 5'3), tight at the top of my foot (but I do have high arches) and they are too tight around my calves (I think I have normal calves). So if you're tall with skinny legs, narrow feet, and low arches, these would be perfect!
