I bought these several years ago as an alternative to snow boots. We don\'t get much snow around here, though we do get some ice, so only wearing these when it snows or is icy meant they were worn 5-10 times per year. I had them about 5 years (5 years when wearing them 5-10 times per year means there was little to no wear seen or expected). I had to throw them away because the outer sole started to completely disintegrate leaving little pieces of rubber everywhere. Given how often I wore them, and the price, I would have expected these to last a lot longer.

I bought my first pair about five or six years ago, wore them for a year or two, and they were great. Then I bought a second pair last year and within a few months the outer part of the sole detached completely. Sent them back for repairs (costing $50) and they put the most ridiculous new soles on them, I just threw them out. I genuinely feel that they stole the original price and the cost of the repair from me. Too bad, since I really do like how they look.

Overall an excellent shoe. I am an engineer and after wearing these for a month or more they work well in the office and in the field. They are a little pricey but if you can get past that I think you will be pleased with the purchase. I liked them enough to get a pair for my dad.

Owned a few pairs of these as well as other Eccos. The outer soles of Eccos fall apart way too quickly, particularly on this model. No other shoes I've owned fall apart in a year or less like Eccos do. Mephistos and other shoes that have natural rubber soles last years and years not mere months. Something tells me they do it on purpose to sell more shoes because it is pretty pathetic.

I've had the same pair of these for 9 years and I have replaced the insole once. They are the best shoes I've ever had and I am very hard on shoes. I only need new ones because the soles are finally slick.

Additional Brand Information

ECCO began as a response to uncompromising footwear. More than 40 years ago in the small southern Jutland town of Bredebro, Denmark, Karl Toosbuy pioneered a revolution in footwear, choosing comfort over conformity. Tired of having his feet mold to his shoes, he charged that the foot should lead the shoe. A new type of footwear was born in ECCO shoes, crafted both by hand and "by heart".

ECCO doesn't compromise. Comfort, flexibility, Scandinavian design, and thriving innovation lead the way, shaping how ECCO builds men's shoes, women's shoes, and childrens' shoes.

Quality and craftsmanship make ECCO shoes famous and create loyal fans who prize their comfort and value. Choose ECCO shoes, sandals, and boots, like many, you may never choose to wear any other footwear. Comfort, without compromising trends or the times, makes ECCO shoes the right choice.

This is the best shoe I have ever owned. I have worn these for 10 years and am on my 5th pair. My foot doctor sent me to get them and he was right. They cushion every step, wear well and look great. I wear them with a sports coat and tie even. These are better padded than other ECCO shoes including the Track IV but a tad heavier. I\'d never buy any other shoe for every day wear inside or outside.

I have owned 6-7 pairs of these shoes. Best walking shoe out there. Waterproof, maintain a steady temperature for your feet summer or winter. Much better than sneakers and they look great. These shoes are a 10.

I am on my 6th pair in the past 10 years or so. I really don’t wear any other shoe. It supports my arch and heel very well and is good in all weather. They wear well, but I am 250 and the spring gives out after about 8 months... of CONTINUOUS wear, so I get a new pair. I love them and have recommended them to many friends and patients who have problems with aching feet.

I found these during a search for shoes to take on a month-long trip to Europe where we would be both hiking in the Swiss Alps and going to the Opera in Vienna. They worked very well for both - dressy enough to pass at in semi-formal wear, and rugged enough to use while hiking. They're extremely light and very comfortable - a bit wide for my narrow feet, so they're not super snug, which made me less confident hiking over slippery or steeply pitched rock than my Vasque hiking boots with Vibram soles. But they worked well enough, and given their versatility and light weight, they were a slam dunk for this sort of trip.

I purchased my second pair of Track II's about a month ago. I really like these shoes and had hoped to buy a pair of black ones but apparently those have been discontinued. The first pair held up well and they were very comfortable but after wearing them in inclement weather for a couple of years they were wearing out. I rated the shoe four starts because the laces are horrible. They will not stay tied. I think if you pay this much for a pair of shoes the shoe laces should stay tied.

The shoes are a little pricey, but they are very comfortable and last longer than any other shoe I have ever worn (with exception of my Red Wing work boots). I wear for about 1 year before replacing, just because they start to get scuffed up. The old shoes still have plenty of wear left and are still waterproof. I actually continue to wear the old ones to job sites. I am currently on my third pair.

This is the third pair of Ecco's my husband has owned. He says they are the most comfortable, best fitting shoes he has ever owned. They wear like iron, as well.

AN EXCELLENT ZAPPOS EXPERIENCE - I originally found these shoes in a mall store. I tried them on and they felt great. My wife suggested we go home and try to find them on Zappos. She's a regular customer. When we checked Zappos we found that the shoes in my size were on back order. I asked Zappos to let me know when they were available. Within just a few short days I received the notification and ordered the shoes. They arrived in just a couple of days. I was very pleased that I would have them for a trip we had planned. The shoes felt great and were just the right size. I am very happy with my first Zappos experience.

Zappos Rocks! My husband has a small wide foot, and it's very had to find shoes that will fit. He LOVES the Ecco Track II. We have to drive about 80 miles to the shoe store where he can "sometimes" find them. When I checked on 1/7/09, they were in stock and available in his size. I ordered them at 4PM and they were delivered before 4PM 1/08/09. It was so easy ordering from Zappos and we didn't have to drive any where. Wow! Kudos to Zappos for their exceptional service.

I like them. My shoe size is 14B, so this shoe is a little wide, but it wears like a narrower version. Simply, it is a great shoe. It has style, wearibility, and comfort, not to mention that it serves perfectly as a boot in cold, snowy, and slushy weather conditions. Our winter (in Michigan) has been brutal and I have been wearing these shoes approx. 5 out of every 7 days. They are doing the job extremely well.

These are the best shoes I have ever worn. I have recently purchased the brown (bison leather) ones...About 3 years ago I purchased a black pair. Before starting to wear them I had to get injections in my ankle about every 7 weeks, since wearing them I have not had an injection. These shoes give me great support.

Great shoe - This is the second pair I have purchased of the same shoe; they wear well and fit great. They are good for Chicago winters. This is a real comfort shoe.

Awesome Shoes! I have had two previous pairs of ECCO Track II Low and will continue to purchase this shoe for years to come. They are comfortable, warm, and last several years of daily use. I also like them because they are nice enough to wear business casual with chinos. ECCO shoes are the best.

Ecco Track II Low - My husband needed a pair of shoes that he could wear while visiting the northeast this winter. These are perfect for him. He particularly likes the lightness of weight on his feet. They look a lot heavier than they actually are. He is also pleased with the comfort of the foot pad.
