Most comfortable Shoe I have ever owned... but big $$. If you are willing to throw $200.00 for a pair of shoes there are none better than these. Huge in the comfort department... and excellent craftsmanship. Buy them you will not regret it.

Comfortable but they fall apart. I got these as a gift a few years ago. Last week I had to throw them away because the bottom of the shoes were breaking up and coming apart. I have other shoes for which I spent a lot less and have lasted a lot longer. They were the most comfortable shoes I ever had, but when chunks of the soles started falling off, it was embarassing. Don't expect them to last.

The best. I got a pair of these the beginning of 1997. They hold together great until you get a tiny hole, and then over time it will grow and hollow out. I didn't realize I had a hole in them until I was cleaning mud off of them and noticed that a rock was inside the sole. They are however the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever owned. They have great traction so when walking in the snow you won't go sliding around. I wear them for everything. They are more comfortable to run in than sneakers. They feel like walking on water. One of the first things I did when I got married was to buy a pair of the female vs. for my wife so she wouldn't buy 4-5 pairs of shoes a year. ;) Well worth the money.

Self destructing! I bought a pair of Ecco Tracks 3 years ago. Only used them moderately. Most comfortable shoes I ever owned but suddenly the soles seemed to just fall apart. I felt, for the price, the shoes should have lasted longer. I am having no luck locating a shop that will repair them.

Won't regret it. I bought a pair of Ecco Track II about a year-and-a-half ago. I have worn them almost everyday day since. These are most definately the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever worn. My pair has been very sturdy also. I do Mobile X-ray in Minnesota, and walk through a lot of snow and slush. Feet and socks have not gotten wet yet. Will for sure buy another pair (if they ever wear out). Or sooner!

They have to be made in either Portugal or Denmark. Some of the reviewers state that they have fallen apart...Balooie! If they are not fakes, then they do not fall apart! The best shoe you can't make yourself! I've had mine for over three years, and they've stood up to running, hiking on a harsh terrain, everyday use (and still don't stink too bad!) etc... Best shoe around.<--Period.

Great shoe. I have had this for several years, and it gets almost daily use. It was as comfortable on the first day as now. It is INCREDIBLY durable. The sole is just barely wearing out now at the corner of one heel where I lean slightly.

Love at first wear. I discovered the Track II about 10 years ago when I reluctantly tried on a pair on the recommendation of a salesman. My reluctance was motivated by the price which, I thought was quite high. Since then, I have become a Track II junkie. On the rare occasion that I wear another shoe, I can't wait to get home to change into my Track II's. They're more comfortable than my slippers! I have 3 pair that I alternate. Just wish ECCO made more styles with THIS same sole & construction because none of their other shoes compare to the TRACK II as far as comfort goes. They feel "worn in" when new & keep getting better as they get older. Love my TRACK II's

Somewhat dissatisfied. 'Owned two pairs of Ecco Track, both succumbed to sole and heal wear-out prior to upper demonstrating any appreciable wear. As with a number of reviewers, though no product should be so defective, chunks of rubber disintegrating from the undersurfaces of a product in the upper-echelon of foot wear price ranges, has given me consideration to thoughts of a re-purchase.

The Best Shoes ever. I waited 'til the sales came in the Isle of Man and paid £85 for a pair. Whatever you do, buy them now! Don't wait for the sales. I've walked miles in them from day 1. I even invent walks home from the pub, 4, 5, 6 or 10 miles just to use them, -without any problems. I just wish I'd discovered them earlier. davidb

Uncompromising! I bought my Track II's in May of 1997 with the goal of getting 5 years out of them. They never broke their promise, and I'm just now searching for replacements due to the stitching finally "rotting" away on the uppers. Amazingly, they still don't leak! I've worn these shoes literally every day since I purchased them, and I still won't throw them out when the new pair arrives. 'Don't understand the soles falling apart as others have mentioned.

Disintegrating Soles. I purchased a pair of Ecco Tracks (made in Portugal) for $200 and I would agree with the other reviewers that they are a VERY comfortable hiking boot. Unfortunately, like some of the reviewers, the soles disintegrated prematurely with chunks coming off at a time to the point that they were no longer usable. I was thinking of a re-purchase, but after reading other reviews with similar complaints, I'll try another brand. Thank you Zappos.com for providing this product review platform.

Durable and Comfortable! I own a car lot and spend most of the day on the concrete. These are the first shoes that haven't left me aching after putting in a long day. They've also held up to all the chemicals I use on a daily basis to clean cars. -I've never had a pair last longer than a few months, but these held up for over a year! It wasn't until I'd stepped on a sharp object and punctured the sole that I'd had any problems with them. I did find that the sole tended to crumble, at this point. Other than that, these shoes are definitely worth their money!

They Wear Out! (Eventually) My Ecco's are starting to wear out! But wait, I've had them for 3, 4, is it 5 years? Constant daily use and abuse. I have never taken good care of these shoes. Finally the soles are worn down to the point that they are STARTING to come apart. The uppers don't look as attractive as day 1, but could go another 3 years easily. And NOT made in China! That is why I originally bought them.

Survived Manufacturing Hell for 3 years. These shoes are awesome. I have a bad knee and a job requiring 12+ on oil slick, concrete floors. Not the best combination. However, the ECCOs lasted for 3 years with daily wear (usually 6 - 7 days a week). They were so comfortable I found myself wearing them around the pasture instead of my sneakers when I was at home. I am now shopping for my second pair.

The Most Comfortable Shoes Ever! I purchased my first pair over three years ago and they're worn but still very comfortble. I plan to wear them for camping and to do work around the tree farm. I paid over $200.00 in 1998 and am getting my money's worth. I plan to wear my new pair for the next three years.

Pretty uncomfortable at first. I was initially pretty disappointed after paying almost $200 for a pair of Track II's. They pinched the top of my feet and hurt my heels. I had to put Dr Sholl's heel cushions in them which helped quite a bit. After breaking in, though, they became more comfortable, though I would not put them up near the comfort of my Mephistos. They are a dry and durable winter shoe with good traction.

Just normal wear. Mine did not fall apart at the soles. After 3 years of hard wear, they have just started to leak (they've been restiched twice on top) and the soles have worn away considerably, but I am hard on shoes and these have done better than most. Plus, they are incredibly comfortable. The first time I wore them for more than a half hour, I climbed a 9500 foot mountain.

Less than 20 cents a day I wore my last pair of Trac Eccos almost 4 years almost all time. I decided I could afford another 20 cents a day for my 59 yr old feet, just got them and they feel great. Zappos did just as well as the shoes feel, good price, 3 day delivery no hassles. I'll be back. P. Shannon
