Creative director Lisa Pliner, Donald's wife, works side-by-side with Pliner to develop each new collection, inserting her artist's vision into the designs, colors and textures. The couple’s pure white Maltese, BabyDoll, is an ever-present influence as well. Today, Donald continues to develop an innovative line of luxury comfort footwear, mixing creative energy with ongoing entrepreneurial spirit. The company has expanded to include footwear for men and women, leatherwear for men and women, handbags, and belts. There are five Donald J Pliner concept stores in Miami, Coral Gables, Houston, Las Vegas, and San Jose.

The shoes are awesome. I wore them for the first time the other day with a pair of jeans - next month with a tuxedo!

My husband needed new shoes to wear with his tuxedo. Normally, he is pretty conservative when it comes to clothes and shoes. But...I took a chance and order these for him. He LOVES them. He says they are incredibly comfortable. To my surprise he actually likes the clean, less fussy more modern look. In fact, he likes these shoes so much and they are so well made and rich looking that he wears them on occasion with his business suits. Kudos to Zappos for carrying such a great selection, and the extra quick FREE service. (They arrived in two days!)

Donald J Pliner shoe - Second pair I own. Feel like bed room shoes. Very comfortable.

Favorite dress shoes - They are simply gorgeous. I was shocked by how comfortable they are. The "breaking in" period is less than a day. Unfortunately, you need to be careful with them since they scuff easily and the top will warp if you don't use a tree.

Pliner Rex - They definitley fit a half size large. They are extremely comfortable and sharp looking. Have yet to wear them without getting compliments
