I've been buying Rockports for years, but decided to try something new. Well, the Shelter looks great, but see that heel padding? It pulls your socks down when you walk. So I returned these.

Great shoemakers! I bought the Shelter to replace another pair of shoes from Dockers which I had worn to work almost everyday for more than five yrs. Zappos shipped promptly and their price was very reasonable. I spend most of my mostly eight hour days on my feet. The Shelter is just as comfy and stylish as the previous pair and appears even more durable. Here's to another 5 ½ yrs of quality style and comfort.

Great Work Shoe - I wear these shoes everyday to work in. I bought a pair last year and wore them out and had to replace them with the exact same pair. I like them so much that I bought a brown pair and a black pair.

Great shoe, great service - This is the 3rd pair of this particular shoe I've purchased from Zappos. It is my husband's work shoe of choice. He's very hard on his shoes but these stand up well. My order arrived the next day – another thing I love about Zappos. The best thing is that I saw this same pair of shoes in a department store for MORE than I paid. Who wouldn't love that!

A great shoe. It's hard for me to find a shoe I really like. I look for solid and dependable, with understated good looks, not too heavy, that comes in a wide size. There aren't too many these days, and this pair fits the bill perfectly. I actually had to order 4 pairs before getting the size right, since wide here really means wide, and they feel somewhat larger than most shoes for the sizes. However, I ended up with what I always thought was my size, whereas for the past few years I've had to get a larger size than I used to. Hmmm. I've marked "true to size" and "true to width" because I think these shoes are what I expect from sizes, and most others recently have felt too small and narrow. Very comfortable, solid, and great looking.

My husband loves these shoes for work. It's hard to find them in wide width in the stores but Zappos always has them and they are here the next day! It's easier and cheaper to buy them from Zappos than to shop for them! I'll always go to Zappos first.

Nice shoe I'm impressed it looks durable and comfortable. i bought my pair a 10 1/2 wide i should have gotten a 10 because the wide does it true to the word. I suggest this pair to everyone. enjoy

I always have a hard time buying shoes that fit correctly and are sturdy enough to have a lift put on for my disability. I started looking on line for some web site that sell shoes and found Zappos.com. I was finally happy to find a place that would have what I wanted. The first pair of shoes I bought were Harley Davidson Boots and they fit perfect, even with the lift, they are still sturdy enough for me to walk in. And tell me they did a great job in the snow. The next purchase was for a flat shoe so I could go out on special events. I bought the Dockers Shelter shoe. They are the best shoe I found to also have my lift and still strong enough for me to walk in them. I love my boots and shoes I bought from Azppos.com and will continue to shop there for more shoes or boots and even clothing.

Very comfortable. It does have stain defender but my problem is having it scratched. Once scratched, it's hard to remove the mark. I don't abuse it but I can't avoid hitting the legs of my computer chair, ups and tower. It's not a strong kick either. A lite touch scratches it up. But again, it is very comfortable.

Got these for my husband who is pretty hard on his shoes (and also very picky about styling and quality). I based my purchase on other reviewers who seemed pleased with these. I have to say, Dockers makes a nice pair of shoes - they are good quality and durable and a lot less expensive than the brands we usually purchase.

The shoe is simple and durable. Easy to clean, very comfortable. The only issue is that they aren\'t very good for walking on ice, but then again, I live in Alaska.
