- Fully convertible heel strap allows wear behind the back of heel or across instep, your choice!
- High quality leather upper follows the natural contours of the foot. Box leather is ideal for the workplace environments with wet, acidic or greasy conditions. It has a smooth, clean finish with the natural irregularities removed. It is the easiest leather to maintain, and can be wiped clean with soap and water.
- Instep collar is generously padded.
- Roomy Thermoplastic toe box provides durable reinforcement and toe protection while allowing toes to move comfortably.
- Nonallergenic vegetable tanned leather sockliner wrapped around synthetic foam absorbs and evaporates perspiration.
- Protective Polyethylene heel counter allows the heel to move up and down when walking. Also provides lateral stability and acts as a natural shoe horn.
- PVC inner frame provides stability and reduces torque and pronation.
- Polyurethane outsole provides shock absorption and flexibility, withstands surfaces of extreme heat and cold, and protects feet, legs and back during long hours of standing or walking.
- Rocker bottom propels the foot forward when walking.

The description says downsize for half-sizes. Don't downsize! I am a small size 9 (an 8 3/4); I usually wear size 40. I ordered a 39 because the size chart said 39 = size 9. They are too small. I need 40. So go with your usual Euro size. Otherwise, they are terrific clogs. Sturdy, good arch support, secure on the foot, plenty of toe room; flexible bottoms.

These shoes drive me crazy! I bought them a year ago. I have a very narrow heel and I was looking for something with a heel strap rather than the traditional Dansko back because my heels generally slip out of most shoes. Well, the heel straps slip off my heels constantly. They're on a hinge, and it's very easy for the straps to simply slip down. It's very annoying when I'm walking for long distances. When I tighten the heel strap to keep it from slipping, my toes rub against the toebox and become sore. Too bad. I had another pair of Dansko's with a heel strap that I wore for 3 years and loved them. I'll be looking for another pair that doesn't have a heel strap on a hinge. That should fix the problem.

I love these! I especially love the convertibility of a slip on or the security of the strap back. I got a larger size than my true foot size as in the winter I wear thick socks. I am glad that I did. The expected quality of Dansko was there in spades.

Very comfortable shoe, I have hypermobile joints and have a very hard time finding shoes to last through the day. These are great, can keep up with my two year old son and they look much nicer than my all weather Merrells. The only shoe so far that seems to keep up with my issues.

If you like clogs but have trouble keeping them on...these are for you. I love them and they don't slide off because of the convertible strap. Nice quality and true to size. Non-slip, too. I like them a lot.

These are amazing shoes. I went from stay-at -home mom to full time 12 hour shifts as a nurse and my feet never hurt once. I prefer to wear the sling back, not forward for extra security. These are also easy to clean, have excellent arch support, and no pressure on the toes. Well worth the money.
