These are the best work boots I've ever owned. I stand and walk all day and I've not had any leg or foot pain at all.

I have worn many boots military, hiking, and work. These by far have to be one of the most comfortable boots I've owned. I am a weapons instructor and stand in concrete for 8 + hours a day. My feet are no longer in pain at the end of the day. They are also great for all day wear and hiking. They are a great looking shoe that goes with jeans or khaki. I would highly recommended anyone who loves their feet to buy a pair of these. Fit true to size.

The fit feels right, but the boot doesn't breathe as well as the Timberland Pros that I usually buy, feet feel a little too warm. Probably won't buy again, if Danner had the 30 day love them or return policy that Timberland has, I would return them.

I have returned these shoes three times before getting this right. First off sneaker size, they went full size larger. My second pair came too narrow and I have narrow women like feet. Then the third pair got the sizing right with wide. One piece Leather is soft and smooth, so nice that you almost do not want to ruin it. I did not have any break in period issue but the ankle section I was never able to get the shoe tight. When I tie my boots, I made it tight, then notice in few hours, it will come feel loose. I never return a shoe for so many times. Almost give up on it. Danner should really update and fix their last that everyone been complain that it is too narrow for majority of folks.

The zipper on the side is a nice idea but the waterproof "gusset" is a bit bulky on the left shoe (not the right though) and it takes about 10 minutes to compact-down. Laces tend to come undone so I have to double-knot. A bit heavy but well made though not quite what I'd call a comfort-boot.

I have had this boot in the past, with all leather uppers, and loved it, but not this pair. The first problem is that there is more "man made" material in the uppers than leather which has made the break in period not only long but also not comfortable. The second complaint is the pull ring on the back is not large enough for my finger to fit inside, and I don't have large hands. This adds to the frustration of the break-in. I would not purchase these again, but would want something that is entirely leather for the upper portion.

Danner, simply the best fitting boot straight from the box you'll ever own. I've owned Danner boots since my first pair back in 1985 and have bought several different styes for Hunting and work. The waterproof styles are excellent and I get long wear out of them with dry feet. The Danner Crafter 6" boot I just purchased fits great and I use It to stabilize my ankle while I recover from a severe sprain. Worth every dime you pay for them.

Great looking shoes. My only issue is that you have to lace them perfectly every time or you will get heel rub or heel slip based on if they are too loose or too tight.

These are by far the best casual boots I own. I have been wearing Danner boots since I was in the Army, and I have never had a bad pair. I have a normal shaped foot and I have no problem with the EE width. Depending on the shoe/boot, I wear an 11½ or 12, but I do wear a 12 in the Danner.

Great out of the box. Top selling points. Gore Tex, Vibram soles and not looking like giant massive stomping boots. They are very comfy and stylish. The laces are thick, strong and the quick lace system is quick and efficient. I compared them to Keen Louisville, Timberland Titan, and carhartt rugged flex. This was the most expensive out of all but felt the most comfortable and most stylish. Keenes had a very roomy toe box and looked sweet and very comfy but overkill for me as I didn't need steel toe protection; pretty good laces but for a work boot I expect something tougher. Tims were nice looking and lightweight but uncomfortable and not wide enough, the metal lace eyelet dug into my ankles: weak laces. Carhartts were the largest looking and looked like they could really take a beating but was not very stylish; also weak laces. The one thing I felt they skimped on Danners was not making the eyelets and fast hooks all metal. They are a mix of metal and hard plastic. I hope they will last.

Amazing workmanship, but a cutout near the achilles tendon would add greatly to comfort. These are a tough fit, the heel isn't cupped tightly and with the slick leather lining, tends to slide. They are very sensitive to lacing tension (and therefore very customizable for fit) but unfortunately just don't work with my feet.

These are great boots, however, there is no way that these are EE width. A D at absolute best. If you have wide feet and need wide boots Danner EE's will not work across the line. Hopefully, Danner will address this as they are great boots.

I'm not sure why some other reviewers have complained about width I'm a 12 EE and these fit just fine. They do need several days of wear to start to break in. But once broken in, they are great.

I've had the same pair of Danner boots for well over a decade, it's a name we trust up here in the PNW. Well made American made product.

Super sturdy and really cute! I bought these to wear in the snow and they did not disappoint. I wouldn't size down (I wear an 11 and bought true to size) as other users recommend since I'd normally wear a thicker sock with it anyway and it allows a little extra space for that. The only issue I had with them is that the ankle rubs a bit on my achilles and I developed a couple of blisters, but I wore them for eight hours the first day I had them, so I think they just need a little breaking in. Would highly recommend!

This is an excellent boot. For me it seems true to size. I rate this a great value. It's very lightweight and there's very little if any break-in time.

Beautiful design, lofty insole, well constructed. Pros: actually waterproof, lightweight, built to last, soft, comfortable step, rugged lug outsole that grips well on many surfaces. Good for light hiking/winter/wearing casually. Cons: no arch support in any way. Made in Vietnam, not USA like the (far more expensive) leather Danner hikers are. Also, the gusset can rub your ankle uncomfortably at times. Haven't tested that on a longer hike as yet.

I originally ordered a 13, but they were too short in the toes, so I reordered 13 wide, and the fit was perfect for me.

These are great boots. They are very light. My husband loved them. But the color scheme was odd. Tongue/middle section was too bright, against the olive green. Looked a bit girly, not like a man's hiking boot. Returned and shopped elsewhere for a dark brown color with a less contrasting middle section.

I have been looking for nice hiking boots when I noticed the Danner Mountain Light Cascade. I loved that they are made in the USA. The price was hard to take on but I knew these would last 15-20 years. When they arrived, I was taken back by the quality and craftsmanship. Just beautiful! They fit true to size and I started the process of breaking them in. They are very stiff and need to be broken in a few hours a day. I wear them with thick wool socks for maybe 2 hours and this seems to be working. I will increase the amount of time each week until my hiking trip in April. I wear between a 8.5 to 9 and I went with the 8.5 and am glad I did. You will not be sorry to invested in these boots!

I like the shoes. To me they are pretty wimpy. not boots. shoes. shoes that are meant to look nicer than converses, but don't make you look like a corporate lawyer or something either. These are somewhere between fancy and rugged, they aren't even a particular color. (falcon?). So, here we are, just ambiguous guys with ambiguous shoes. thats why I like them. I feel like a spy because I can slip into any occasion and not turn heads. They are pretty comfortable. the sole feels sturdy and durable for the meager thickness, and they aren't loud when your heel touches the ground walking. I am comfortable walking long distances in them. longest Ive don't according to my phone was 8.5 miles with very little breaks. My feet don't need much arch support so I'm alright in these, but they are perfectly flat. In that way too the forefoot is really tight, like they tried to make these as much of a pancake as possible. Thats ok, but then why danner chose to put some mesh lining in the forefoot only, where its tightest is beyond me. And as another reviewer mentioned, the foam under the forefoot makes is really hard to put them on because your foot will not slide over it at all. with a thin pari of socks and when they are on my feet finally, I do like them a lot. That being said, sometimes when I'm tired and cranky I want to rip these off and slice them open and tear the foam and the lining out of the forefoot with a veloceraptor claw shouting DIE with all the volume and emotion I can possibly express in a word. Overall I am happy with my purchase, and I like Danner.
