I can not believe how comfortable these boots are, and great they look with jeans.

I ordered these in Red and they are awesome! They are way big but I kept them anyway and just wear 2 pair of thin socks. Also I have the gray and brown in the dan post in the same style of these which I ordered earlier like in the fall and I loved loved them so that is why I am ordering them in a half size smaller. The reviews really help that way so you know how to order. looking forward to getting them.

I absolutely love these boots! I will be wearing them tomorrow with a nice pair of jeans. This is my second pair of Dan Post, and I find them to be comfortable for an all day outing event. I wish these came in an assortment of colors, because I would buy them all!

I LOVED these babies the moment I laid eyes on them online and even more when I pulled them out of the box! The green and red on the foot portion of the boot is more subtle than the pictures which look even better! Alas! I am a hair under 6 ft tall with skinny legs and these beautiful, almost perfect boots are a weird height for me. Probably I would almost always wear them under long jeans, but the design on the shaft is the best part, it'd be a crime!! So bummed!

Believe it when other reviewers say they run large! The first pair I ordered only a half size smaller and they were still too big. I had to have a full size smaller than what I normally wear in most other brands. They quality is exactly what I expected at this price point. I own several other pairs of boots in many price ranges and found Dan Post quality to be very nice. While I'm too old for the shorts & boots look, I do intend to wear them with skirts, leggings & jeans. I suspect they'll last for far longer than I'm interested in wearing them. The leather was soft and nicely detailed and the sole and heel were thick leather as described. If you're undecided about ordering them, I say just do it. You'll really enjoy the look and feel of this well-priced short boot.

At 6'3" I've finally found a pair of over-the-calf boot socks that are actually long enough to stay up. Have tried more expensive brands that disappointed. Great fit, very comfortable, and the elastic at the top of the sock is strong enough to work but does not cut off circulation.

These boots are incredible. I'd been eyeing them up for months and finally decided to splurge -- and I have no regrets. I've worn a lot of different brands of cowboy boots and these are by far the most comfortable. If I lived in states, I may have also ordered the 7, just to compare size (and then returned) the 7.5 gives me just enough wiggle room for toes and fit really well. I wear a bit of a thicker sock and I'm happy. Also -- I have wide feet and these boots really accommodate that. The boots have that really cool worn, rustic look to them. They look so cute with skinny jeans, short shorts and dresses -- everywhere I go, people seriously tell me how much they love my boots! I love them too! And of course, Zappos is great!

This is the first time my husband tried these socks so I ordered one pair to see how it fits. He has a hard time finding socks that are comfortable and stay up during the day. After the first day of wearing it he wanted me to order more. I ordered 5 more pairs. His legs are painful and swell up so these are perfect for him. He is happy.

These boots were pretty comfortable and fit well. They were okay looking but the leather seemed cheap. I returned them because I found another pair that I liked better.

I absolutely love these boots (inlay, colors, and embroidery, but none of it overdone). I would strongly recommend that someone looking for a pair of western boots try some on before ordering as sizing can be tricky. By sizing up a little I can even get my orthotics into these. My only complaint would be common to all shoes in this genre - the leather sole. While fine on many surfaces, some tiles and metals and even a few carpets can be pretty slippery, so please be careful.

Although the seams on the sides (insides) of the boot were not lined, they were finished closely enough to the boot not to cause ankle burn/rubbing. These boots are beautifully done, the distressing & coloring are top-notch. I did put an Ariat insole in these to shore up any excess room - so do recommend getting your regular size & adding an insole for a total custom fit.

Love, love, love these boots! I ordered the pink, and as others have stated it is more distressed (in the best possible way) and the color is a little more subdued than the picture. I especially love the way that the stitching is two different shades of pink - looks great! Very stylish and comfortable and I'm more than happy with my purchase. I did order a pair of these boots in a half size smaller than my normal per some of the other reviews, but I did need to return for my normal size. But as always, Zappos made that experience quick, easy and painless and I had my replacement pair in two days! Thanks Zappos, you rock!

These are gorgeous boots. If I could have gotten my foot into them (very high arches) I'm sure they would have fit just right. I wear 8.5-9 and got an 8.5 per on line advice. I am so bummed!

he Dan Post Crew Socks: I don't know about the "Certified" label. Is there a special sock certifier? Regardless, they seem well constructed Medium weight cotton white socks. If that's what you are looking for, these are better than most. My feet run very hot, so I prefer a thinner, breathable synthetic blend type sock.

The size runs big. I usually wear a 9 1/2-10 in boots; however, they only had a size 9 so I ordered it and it is too big. Could probably go with a 8 1/2.

Great socks! They definitely stay up all day and are very comfortable. I am a size 13 EE and I ordered the size 13+ socks. They are more than big enough and would probably work up to a size 15. My calves are pretty big and the socks are very comfortable and do not fall down, even slightly. These are also great ski socks.

I ended up returning them as they were more gray than black and another pair I ordered suited me better, but I was really tempted to keep these. Someone else said the pink is just right, not too bright, and I agree. These boots do have an odd and very distressed look, in fact the markings are just like the photo so I'd recommend to look at it carefully and see if it is what you want. They did feel comfortable.

I really thought I would love these boots, but when they came I was surprised at how they looked. I am a review reader, so I had studied the reviews and ended up giving a lot of thought to the size, but not the detail of the distressing in the picture. The leather was thinner than I expected, and I didn't like this particular distressed look at all. The picture represents it, but I was expecting a more subtle distressed look. In my opinion, the look was odd - and I like distressed leather usually - it reminded me of something that had been left in water and then dried. I would rate the fit and the overall as good because I would have kept them if I had liked the way they looked. It is just a matter of preference, but to me the distressed look of these was unnatural and didn't look at all like I expected. The soles were distressed as well, and I wondered if I had gotten a damaged pair. When I called customer service to let them know I was returning them and wanted to be sure they knew the soles were scuffed looking, they looked at the picture and said that was the way they were supposed to be (I didn't look at the picture of the sole when I ordered them, so my mistake). Zappos customer service is great and I will continue to order from them...they make it so easy and they ship fast! Just be sure you study the picture and realize that these look very distressed, but it seems more dyed on or bleached than worn looking. The streaks look just like the picture so use the zoom so you can see what I mean. If I had wanted a boot to wear for a working boot or daily they were comfortable and perhaps would look better to me when broken in.

I LOVE these boots, but I had to return them and get a half size smaller!! I normally wear a 7.5 but got a 7 due to the reviews and they were still to big!! Crazy . . . anywho I love the boots went ahead a ordered the smaller size. Cant wait to get my boots. Also in the pink the color is much more subdued than shown in the pic!
