I began running again after a 10 year hiatus and while I could see noticeable improvements with each week, I was finding that my knees felt tender after each run. I have owned a pair of CW-x tights for a few years to use during ski season and thought a newer pair for running would be just what I needed to help reduce stress on my knees. I find that now my knees don't feel tender after a run; there are no nightly aches and pains as there were with just plain tights. This pair of capris seem to have more compression than my older pair of CW-xs and I'm looking forward to wearing these for ski season. I do wish CW-x would make a women's xl size. The large is tight; comfortable to run in, but I take them off as soon as I finish working out.

The tights runs SMALL. I had to return it because I could not get it over my hips... in a size S. It is probably one or two sizes smaller than marked.

These are just like all the other CW-x tights, which are all I wear for running. I'm shaped like a pear, and these are the only compression tights that work--because I'm an athlete, as well as a pear. They are supposed to be tight, and they are so well constructed that they don't rip, and they stretch where they are supposed to, and they are stylish (pink stitching, how cute is that?) and they are warm. I think they're worth every dime and I will never run in anything else.
Brands I'd also recommend: No other compression tight comes close

I am a ski instructor at Squaw Valley who had total knee replacements on both knees. With the CX-3 Insulator Stabilyx tights I was able to start skiing at the end of my 4th month post op. Now my friends also wear and love them and I also bought the thinner ones for spring skiing. These are great for people who have knee issues.

I love these tights. I'm 5'0"/120 lbs and order a Small. They are tight, but I think the Medium would have been too big. One thing, is that my legs are short and the area that is suppose to fit in the kneecap area was below my kneecap. I did a 5K in them a couple of days ago and made a PR, so I don't think it was a problem. The tights also help my lower back from becoming sore during the run. I would suggest that anyone one with any aches and pain while running give these tights a try. I will add that if you are not a fan of pink stitching on your tights, you might not like the looks of these tights.

Love these tights. The medium felt great and was easy to get on. The high waist gives excellent core support. I'm a beginner runner and the knee support and the level of compression really helped me to push harder through my 4 mile run. Nice design. Air circulates too! I'm going to order more pairs! Oh, and of course, Zappos got my order to me lightening fast!

The main point: these babies are tight! I'm 5'2", 116lbs and I bought the smalls, which according the the size chart is the correct size, but even so, I went back and forth about keeping them. Then I remembered a review I read here that said after the reviewer wore the tights a few times, they more or less got "broken in" -- or something to that effect -- so I kept them and, sure enough, after a few wearings I find them comfortable. They are well built, and I'm hoping they are durable as well. We'll see. As for the claims of less muscle fatigue, etc., I've been running a long time in all manner of tights and shorts, and I must say, I haven't noticed any particular difference. You'll look "mah-valous" (!) and feel faster, though! Bottom line: they're tight, pricey, well-made, and I like them!

I absolutely love these tights. I just want to say if you take yoga or do squats get these pants. Not only do they support you amazingly but noone will be able to see what you are wearing under them. I have witnessed to many women in the gym doing yoga or squats and you can see right through the pants they are wearing, not these. I love them. They are definitely tight but they do all they say they do and more. So I say to all you ladies, buy them, you wont regret it. Amazing.
