Just beautiful - An undeniably gorgeous boot, but I bought these hoping the shaft was as wide as everyone said they were. No dice. My 15.5-16" calves could not squeeze into a size 9, though the insole and lining are extremely comfortable and luxurious (lined with the most supple suede ever, ooh la la).

I also have a problem with the circumference. Unacceptably wide. Poor design. I had such hopes. I love my CC dress shoes!

Material too stiff, hurts heel. This shoe has a classy look, but I had to return it because the material is so stiff on the shoe while walking to look at it in the mirror in my home, the heel area was so stiff it was hurting. And the sizing runs a bit big so it wasn't tight at all. Sad to have to return it. Loved the look.

First impressions: I just received these shoes today, and am blown away by the comfort level. The leather is soft, and almost hugs the foot like a sock, but without being uncomfortably tight. Additionally, the footbed feels padded, so I almost feel like I'm walking on pillows; it's great! I'm not a believer in wearing painful shoes just to look cute, so these shoes could be exactly what I'm looking for: comfortable heels, manageable height, great for going out (with skinny jeans, dresses, skirts) or even, possibly, for running a quick errand if I decide I want to look cute. Really, they're that comfortable. I'm sorry I can't offer more than my first impressions. I'd like to be able to say how these shoes feel after a few hours in them, or even after wearing them for a month or two, but at least you know they're great-looking and great-feeling right out of the box! (Note: I did purchase these in my regular size, and the fit is true to size; I think for this brand it varies based on each particular shoe, as reviews for other shoes by Corso Como say to size up or down, etc.)

I have very muscular calves and these boots fit great! I am happy to find a brand with a more generous shaft circumference. The leather is beautiful and the heel height is perfect.

I just bought these boots after spending a week looking for a pair of flat(ish) tall simple black boots. These were the only boots I found that fit the bill. These boots not only look good, they are super comfortable. I do not have any issues with the calf area of the boot. I am on the shorter side - 5\'2\'\' with average calves. I definitely recommend!

These shoes are so fashionable and very flattering. I have gotten several compliments on them. I bought them in black. They are incredibly comfortable; heel not too tall and the insole is a very soft leather with a bit of a cushion to it. They look great with pants and dresses.

Just got these and love them. I wore them the first time with jeans and they look awesome. Had them on all day and didn\'t have the first sign of discomfort. The fit is true to size.

Fit like a dream, perfect! I bought them to wear to work where I'm on my feet all day. They look like they'll work with the extra padding in the footbed. Beautifully made, yet lightweight. Even my 26 year old daughter loves them. Now I'm looking for a purse to match! I'm going to buy this brand again. Buy them!

A very pretty shoe - delicate yet well-padded. The sole part of the shoe is very comfy, my only problem is that the vamp seemed a little narrow on my foot, and cut in on the sides of my foot, not unbearable, but still not the most comfortable. I normally wear normal width shoes so I don\'t think my foot is that wide. Perhaps they will stretch more with time. The light brown color is gorgeous and a lovely contrast against denim or other more muted clothing. Even though it\'s a sandal, b/c it\'s covertoed, I feel like I can even get away with it in the office. I\'m keeping it inspite of the width issue, just won\'t be able to wear them for long walks.

I have these shoes in black, and love them so much. I had gotten another pair of Corso Como and liked them, especially for the comfort, as well for being true to size. I have enjoyed both pair, and will continue to look for more!

These boots are a great classic with a twist of fashion. If you have thin calves these are for you. The foot pad makes them so comfortable. They look great with a dress, pencil skirt or jeans tucked in. I am amazed at how well made they are. And believe me you will get compliments on them. They look much cuter on they they do on the website.

I completely disagree with reviewers below. I have very skinny legs, calves included, and these boots fit perfectly. I have been all over the tri-state area trying to find flat, black boots that would fit and these are perfect. Simple and classic, these are a keeper.

This boot came to me in 24 hours! It was gorgeous, well made, and felt so nice! Unfortunately I had to return it as the 5 1/2 was a half size too big (I am a 5 or 5 1/2 usually). It felt too roomy. A 5 was not available. I would have kept it otherwise!

Too baggie and tall. I was looking for a boot to hug my calf, but this was very loose fitting. The leather is too stiff to make it a slouchy boot. I have large calves so I was surprised at how much room there was to spare. I also thought these were too tall. If they would have been a half inch shorter and had a tighter fit around the calf, they would have perfect.

Love them! I bought these for my European vacation. I thought they would be comfy to walk in all day. They were more comfy than most other sandals in this style. I love them! I wear them to work, too! Like most sandals in this style, they offer no support. However, they are very cute and worth it! Very well made! As for fit, for me, they fit true to size. They are a bit narrow.

I have a very hard time finding boots that are wide enough for my big calves, but look no more; these zipped in without a problem! Totally comfortable considering my wide size 6 1/2 foot. Soft, rich looking leather that will only get better with wear. I love these boots!

Ordered these because they look like a platform version of some amazing flat Corso Como sandals I got last year (which seem to be discontinued, darn) and I haven't been disappointed. The leather is stiffer as it is patent, but I've had no trouble with chafing or fit. The other review said they were heavy, I have found the soles to be sturdy, but not overweight, besides, I'm not playing basketball in them. They have been fantastic and I've walked all day in them.

Absolutely the best boots I\'ve ever had the privilege of owning. Also the most expensive, but based on the above comment, worth every cent. A perfect combination of biker and riding boot. Beautifully-made inside and out and so comfortable to wear. The fact that the company is environmentally and ethically aware seals the deal for me. I wear these boots with everything: dresses/skirts, skinny jeans, leggings, etc. They look so stylish with every outfit and I get so much wear out of them. The adjustable buckles are a lovely touch. I have skinny calves, so even the tighest notch is a little loose, but they don\'t gape like so many styles. For girls with bigger calves, the buckles should provide you with plenty of room to fit any leg shape. Rubber soles give great traction and the leather itself has a wonderful texture to it that makes it look really unique. I am totally thrilled with these boots. Fit true to size. I am a 7.5 usually, with a fairly narrow foot, but always take a medium fit. The 7.5 in this boot fits perfectly, with enough room for a slightly wider foot and therefore enough room for me to wear a pair of chunky tights. The lining inside the boot is fabulous - this is quality stuff.

I usually wear a size 8 but had to return the 8 for a 7.5, which felt a little snug when I first put it on but quickly softened up. I\'m really happy with these boots. They are actually cuter and a little more fashion-forward than they look in the picture. Kind of like a riding boot with a little bit of a motorcycle-y feel but not too much. They look good with skinny jeans tucked in or a short-ish sweater dress. And they are super-comfy!

Love them! At first I wasn't sure about these shoes because they are very trendy and very expensive, but as soon as I put them on, I loved them. They are so adorable. I like that the heel isn't super high (I'm tall so I like lower heels). I also really like the overall look of the shoe, the way the fabric crosses in the front looks really pretty. I'm not the only one who thinks so; everyone is telling me how much they love them! Of course, I have to add that Zappos is the best! I ordered these shoes on Tuesday and I'm wearing them on Thursday! Great service, great shoes!

I've had the calf version of this shoe for two months and I love it. I normally wear a 6.5 in sandals (size 7 in running shoes and Tevas), and the 6.5 fit me. They fit beautifully out of the box and didn't give me blisters. The all-leather construction is wonderful. The only drawback to this shoe is the leather sole, which will probably wear down faster than a synthetic sole. This shoe looks and feels beautiful.

Wow! Calves 15 1/4"+ usually won't fit an average shaft. Back zipper all the way down to the heel in back; don't know if that's practical, but well-sewn zipper stop at heel gives a fit like finest glove leather bottom to top. In 9 1/2 M, zips with no resistance up my calves. Wouldn't recommend style for "fudging" bigger calves, although this leather will probably stretch/mold to curves, if any boot will; well-made with YKK zipper. High quality! Shaft circumference, largest point: 9M 15.5", 9 1/2 M is 15.5+". Shaft height: I'm 5'3", it's perfect, well below bottom knee in front (I can't fit a 16" shaft below my kneecap). This shaft curves down in front 1" or so & in back 2" or so, shapely & comfy). Heels are 1 3/4" max at heel of foot (zipper stop) to floor. Very comfy padded insoles & leather lining. Absolutely luscious in Black. The Sepia better than pictured; true mid-tone Brown, no reddish tone, like a Kraft Caramel. Not shiny as it appears; its a supple leather sheen (Sepia looked "wet-look/vinyl" to me, it's not). If you appreciate leather craftsmanship, this is the 1! By the way, I'm a 9M, tend to 9W, width; in this 9 1/2 Med perfect. Still love the La Canadienne Tahra Brown Italian leather, but going to have to let it go for the better fit in calves. That one's also not 2", very comfortable height, not as "cushy" as this one.

I really love the look of this shoe. They go with so many things. I have a medium width foot and they fit just fine. If you have a wider foot, this shoe might not work for you. The sole is comfortable for me; however, that little elastic piece in the heel rubs a bit. I am not sure that these would be the best walking shoe. Overall, I am happy with them.
