I marked these as feeling true to size, but in truth they feel about a quarter size smaller than marked. I tried two sizes, and one was a bit too big, the other a bit too tight. I hoped in time that the bit too tight would open up, but that has yet to happen. The leather is quite nice and the padded tongue adds a nice comfort touch. The black color lets you daydream all day long about different lace colors you can try.

I love these Jacks. They're awesome! I've had a pair before this. It is an extremely durable pair of shoes. I've worn it in the rain, snow, and sunshine. Great leather, and it gets even better as you wear them. You won't regret getting yourself a pair of these!

I exchanged my previous size for half a size down to size 3½ men's / 5 women's and now it fits great! I usually wear a 5½ or 6 in women's so this definitely runs long by somewhere between a half to a full size. The design changes slightly from the 4/5½ size to the 3½/5 size, in that the smaller size loses a shoe lace hole (it only has five holes instead of six) and as a result, looks more like kid's shoes. And the laces also end up being a little too long, since they do not go through the extra pair of holes. Though the slight clunky-ness is accentuated by only having five shoelaces holes, they are still cute, seem comfortable and will be my everyday sneakers. I am also happy about the exchange policy - they shipped me the new size overnight and I just have to return the other pair soon.

Zappos did it again! I ordered it yesterday and it came today w/ free overnight shipping. THis isn't the first time either. As soon as I open the box I was skeptical on the comfort. Once I tied the remaining laces, I put my feet in and started walking. Wow! The most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever worn. Even when you raise your heel off of the ground, it fits snugged perfectly. I'm really amazed on the quality of these Jack Purcells. I was looking into buying a canvas pair of Chuck Taylors but based off of thew great reviews, I was sold to try out the Purcells. They fit better than my Tretorns in which I wear for working out. Those are comfortable as well even for minimal running.

Very comfy. Un like regular Converse that run one size to big these only run about a half size to big. Love them. They are good casual and fancy.

Excellent fit. Length and width are both surprisingly true to size for being a pair of Converse. Along with most others, I'd advise going with your true size before making any adjustments. +pts for Zappos' excellent shipping!

Love these shoes. Very easy to clean and look great. Leather will last a long time. I have insoles, so the out-of-the box arch support isn't that great, but still very comportable.

I have owned the white pair for over a year now. They are very comfortable, more so than converse. I lost the insoles they came with which were like walking on a cloud and they are true to size. I inserted the Spenco Cross Trainers which are very comfortable and I wear in almost all my athletic shoes except for my vans which already have arch support.

Enjoying them, harken back to the days of super-prep fashion in the '80s when I was in high school. Love them in the durable leather, very comfortable. Size ran a bit long.

Was pleasantly surprised with these. I actually like these better than the original canvas Jack Purcell's as they look sleeker and more grown up. You can dress up or down in these. A great leather version of an old classic style.
