Converse All-Star Sneakers: The Ultimate In Punk Footwear. Is there any other shoe that defines punk music as well as these? Spiked leather boots come close, but these shoes, sir, they're number one. You'll be Asked Where You Found These. These were required wear for "gym class" in the 50's/60's -I know. I never gave up on them as they're still handy to wear in those gyms/weight rooms where other shoes are not permitted. They wash easily, and are versatile. Granted, if you wear them daily for the street, they wear out quick and the soles will separate. However, they're unbeatable for their intended purpose, and they wear well for amphibious activities if you need boat or coral shoes. Buy them whenever you find them, and I recommend Zappos.com. And, people will ask, "Where'd you find those?"

Good Stuff. These shoes are classic. I don't know why people are saying they fall apart easily because mine have lasted over 3 years and I wear them regularly. I love how thin the soles are because you can feel the ground so well.

Converse Rocks! I heard recently that Converse was going out of business because people wern't buying their shoes. WHAT!!? Converse is the ultimate Amercian shoe. They rock! I'm keepin' mine so Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam can sign 'em. Anyone, who is debating buying this shoe or not, I say you should.

Happy shoesies. I wear these shoes to shows, and they'll go through anything. Those who have been to a few rough shows know that inevitably, a shoe will fly through the air because someone lost it in a mosh pit. Just lace up these hi-tops, stick a safety pin through the bow (keeps it from untying), and you're good to go.

The greatest shoe on earth! How do those poor, unfortunate souls who've never owned a pair of Converse All Stars survive? My red Converse high-tops make me so happy every time I put them on. They're fun, quirky, and incredibly comfortable. There are only two problems with these shoes, as I see it: 1) they're lousy winter shoes, so if you live in the Arctic wastelands of, say, Michigan, be forewarned. 2) They do fall apart more quickly than most shoes, particularly if you're as hard on them as I am, but the comfort and style and overall happiness of the shoes is worth it. These shoes are Good Times, USA.

You people are obsessed. Converse are okay shoes, but not the best in the world. If you're a fat person, I recommend you not wear them because they look bad on fat people, sorry. Sole Food. I'm a kid trapped in a rather old body. I've worn the hi-tops since I was a "real" kid back in the '50's. There's something about these shoes that transcends time and nourishes the spirit, (which is the part of you that never grows old if you don't allow it). 'Scuse the metaphysical stuff - this is just my own humble opinion. Since the color selection is a bit limited, I always get White, buy a packet of RIT dye in my favorite color of the moment and "roll my own." I once made a pair in avocado green which became my lucky shoes. I wore them to all my exams in college, and even to a job interview. They looked great with my new suit, and I even got the job! (Of course, nobody really cares what a programmer looks like . . .).

Good, so buy it. I got the One-Star sneakers a few weeks ago 'cause they were the least popular. But, hell, I like 'em and they're really comfortable. Wear some other shoes and then put on Coverse and you can tell the difference. Rad!

AWW Jyeah! These are completely my favoritest shoes in the world! I moved and threw away two pair then started doing the whole punk thing again and now I am sad that I lost them! I still have my low tops from high school (at least 8 years old!!!) but sadly, they have holes in them now. My lucky monkey socks are starting to poke through. And they DO look good on fat people...I should know. They look great on me!

A sad story. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! So many good reviews on this shoe!! Ever since I saw them years and years ago in an American film (where else?) I fell inlove with THE converse shoes!! Unfortunately because I live in England I can't buy them cos they DONT SELL THEM!!! :( They used to sell them but I had no money then but now I have SOME cash they decided to stop selling them over hear!! how TRAGIC!!!!!! I bought a pair of Nike canvas shoes which are similar but ITS JUST NOT THE SAME :( I can't wait till I get a credit card so I can go online and buy TWO pairs!!!

Chucks are the best. Hey what can I say I love Converse I used to have a batman pair back when I was 8 wish I still had them then 4 years later got stars and bars and lost them well I've started wearing them again for a year now they're great so comfortable. I got monocrome hi,black hi, white hi, orange hi, red lo there all great never will any shoes be better than chucks "stay true".
