What started out as a rubber shoe company that specialized in galoshes, later became a company with one of the most recognizable and iconic sneakers of all time. Converse® created the “All Star” basketball sneaker, in 1920, with the sole (pun intended) purpose of shooting hoops and standing out on the court. After the evolution of their sport-inspired shoes, such as the Chuck Taylor® All Star® and Jack Purcell® shoes, Converse® undoubtedly became a brand built around storytelling and expressing oneself.
Converse® offers an extensive line of footwear in many different shapes, sizes, materials, and colors; but they don’t stop there. Converse® created clothing and even accessories, varying from hats, gloves, and scarves to help expand your story. Add a few more pages to your wardrobe, so you can customize your own personal style.
Regardless of whom you are, and what you do, Converse® has the perfect get-up you need to feel, and be your true self. Don’t ever be worn down and bored by basic, dress yourself in the timeless, and always evolving, Converse®.
These are classics and they fit like they always have--nice to know you can count on some things to stay the same. They look great with jeans (though they tend to make my feet look bigger than they do in other shoes). The only downside is the zero arch support, so I wouldn't want to wear these for serious walking time, but for casual wear, they're pretty fabulous.
I love these shoes to the moon and back! I chose the Shoreline version because I felt the original made my size 9 feet look like clown feet (ughhh!) It did take a little while to break in, after that though it was smooth sailing. You won't regret this purchase!
I absolutely love these. I was skeptical when i opened the box, just because Converse usually make my feet look huge. After trying them on and wearing them around the house, I fell in love. I have worn them everyday since, trying to break them in, although they don't seem to really need it. I will say that the toe box is slightly narrow and seems to rub on the pinky toe a little, but nothing painful. They have made every outfit look so cute and casual. Love!!
I have a narrow foot so I went down a half size.
Have been wanting a more feminine low cut of converse. I have gone through over 4 four pairs of the high top chuck taylor's. I ALWAYS wear a size 7 in those but these were WAY too small. Returning the 7 and reordered the 8 which I have not received yet! A nice feature I found in these is a rubberized insole! I guess if you opt to not wear socks, it would be easier to clean to keep odor to a minimum!
These shoes are summertime must for me. They are a great casual shoe; simple and comfortable. They can run a little long, and are a bit narrow. I wear a size 10.5 in most shoes including the Chuck Taylors, however if my foot weren't so wide I could likely wear a size 10 in these.
I am in my mid 50s and these shoes are so cute with Capri jeans. I love them so much I ordered my mom, sister, twin nieces and son's girlfriend a pair. The white ones are so classic and the navy are a close second. One of my nieces wanted the black. They are cute but don't have that classic Chuck look imo. As for what size to order, I would say if you have normal to narrow feet, order a half size down. If your feet are wide order your normal size or a half size up.
Such a classic and I have small feet so i need kids sizes but anyone can rock these. You can't go wrong with a converse
I bought my first pair of All Star Hi-tops in the early '80's. I've worn them less in recent years because I simply need more comfortable shoes as I've gotten older. I'm glad this style finally got an update, especially adding the footbed. But I have mixed feeling about the new design. Aesthetically, I really like them. I like the monochromatic look. (I still like the original design but this is a nice alternative.) The addition of a footbed is great, but it could be a little more supportive for me. Its not bad though. I'm not completely sold on the new fabric. It looks nice but its pretty stiff and I think its now synthetic (not cotton). The addition of padding on the interior is ok but not really necessary. I never had a problem with the original upper. I like the idea of upgrading the ankle patch, but the fabric patch feels a little cheap. I also miss the original laces. The cotton laces had a little give and added to comfort. The newer synthetic laces (which most shoes seem to have these days) are more durable but don't have any give. This is something that's more noticeable to me on the hi-top version. Regarding size and fit. The original style always ran a little big and I knew to size down a half size. I've read a lot of reviews where people said this new version fit more true to size so I tried that. I ended up going back to the size I wear in the original. To me, these fit and feel almost exactly like the originals. True to size was too big. (My foot measures size 11, narrow. For most sneakers I wear a size 11.5. for regular boots and shoes I wear 11 and for these 10.5 fits just right. May be different for someone with a wider foot.) Bottom line, these look and feel like old friends with a comfort and aesthetic upgrade.
Seriously these were the best purchase ive ever made! Ladies they literally look good with everything. Also im gonna buy the kids because they are cheaper:) i typically wear a 7 and i got a 6.5 in these. I like my slip ons to fit tighter
