What started out as a rubber shoe company that specialized in galoshes, later became a company with one of the most recognizable and iconic sneakers of all time. Converse® created the “All Star” basketball sneaker, in 1920, with the sole (pun intended) purpose of shooting hoops and standing out on the court. After the evolution of their sport-inspired shoes, such as the Chuck Taylor® All Star® and Jack Purcell® shoes, Converse® undoubtedly became a brand built around storytelling and expressing oneself.
Converse® offers an extensive line of footwear in many different shapes, sizes, materials, and colors; but they don’t stop there. Converse® created clothing and accessories to help expand your story, and add a few more pages to your wardrobe, so you can customize your own personal style.
Regardless of whom you are, and what you do, Converse® has the perfect get-up you need to feel, and be your true self. Don’t ever be worn down and bored by basic, dress yourself in the timeless, and always evolving, Converse®.
I am very pleased with the converse shoreline I ordered. I always wear a size 8 and was advised to order a half size smaller. The 7 1/2 fit perfectly! Thanks Zappos for the fast delivery!
I looked like i had clown feet! good quality, i am usually a size 9 in womens and i got that but they were a little loose. I am going to exchange them for a size 8 1/2.
I love these shoes but they run bigger! I read the reviews before hand thinking are these true reviews I wished I would've listened. I usually wear a 7-7.5 I ordered the 7.5 and they are a little bigger so order down a half of size! I ordered gray ones in a 7 and they are perfect!
My new yellow Chuck Taylor's are even more beautiful than I thought they would be. I wasn't sure about the color when I ordered them.
After much searching at store and across the mighty web, we landed at Zappos.com. Bought these for my daughter who has been a fan of Van's in the past but fell for the classic style of these Chucks. Great shoes that hopefully fit her for more than a few months or at least make it through the summer.
Got my first pair ever of Chuck Taylor's last week. I love them. I wear high heels for work and minimus running shoes around the house. These shoes were a different feel for sure. Heavy across the bottom with light nonsupportive canvas on top. Although they have no arch support, they were still comfy. I ordered a 9.5 a d they were true to size. I was worried my feet would look huge, but they were okay. Only having four holes made them look shorter.
Ouch! After eight blocks I developed blisters on the back of my ankles (two blocks it started hurting bad). Breaking it in would do no good, leather is very stiff and will stay stiff. This is my second JP and compared to my very old pair, I am quite disappointed on the quality and because these are unisex, they will look like clown shoes on a female (bulky). Just get yourself regular walking cushioned sneakers if you plan to walk more than two blocks. It is sad how Converse price their products so high but produce very low quality shoes. This will be the last Converse I will ever buy.
One of a few pairs of shoes we can find for my size 15 fiance that are both comfortable and cool looking. He has a tendency to get them dirty, but they hold up which is a feat considering how hard he is on things. Just got him a new pair to wear in our wedding.
My 1st pair of Chucks. Put in an insole to get some arch support & relieve that "too flat" feeling. Like the color a lot, & they look great with all jeans colors. Pleasantly surprised that they felt a bit narrower than Medium without the insole. Perfect for me, since I have a narrow foot. The insole made the shoe a better fit, without the need for heavier or cushioned socks.
It excels in looks...it really helped my size 11 feet no looking too big, which used to happen with the regular Chucks. Only thing that happened in terms of comfort was on my right pinkie toe got a tiny blister. I'm sure it's more related to my foot than to the shoes itself, although I don't usually have issues...but let me tell you, the look is so cool that I didn't care much about the blister - nothing that a bandaid wouldn't hep mask. And I'm seriously planning on getting other colors now.
