Do not buy these shoes! I've owned two pairs and both times the soles of the shoes split. Both shoes in both pairs had this problem, and I'm not alone. They are incredibly comfortable for a few months, then they fall apart. Cole Haan needs to fix this issue because these shoes are too expensive to be so poorly made.
I had a pair of these shoes back in 2002 and I loved the way they looked and felt. Bought a new pair a few months ago. Same size and model as before. Something has changed; they are very uncomfortable now, they lack padding in the area supporting the ball of the foot. I found them to cause a significant amount of foot pain. Can't even wear them anymore. Very surprised, because I normally love Cole Haan. But I will have to buy something else from Born or Clarks that looks similar, because my feet cannot survive these shoes. Very disappointing.

Agree with the previous poster. These shoes are very comfortable and look great, but the sole ripped across the balls of my feet after only a month of regular wear. Thought it was just my pair, but seeing the other posts confirms that these shoes are not durable (though I\'ve continued to wear them with the ripped sole and the rest of the shoe holds up well). Was going to re-buy, but not a chance now.

These shoes are not durable. My husband found these shoes very comfortable but within four months of buying them the sole split across the ball of his foot. He did not wear these shoes exclusively, he wore it approximately two or three days a week.

These shoes are an attractive, comfortable, and well constructed shoe for my husband's hard-to-fit feet (11 1/2 wide). He is an orthopedic surgeon so he is on his feet during surgery or seeing patients all day. These are terrific for in the office and at social events. The window in the heel design is a bit odd but fortunately not too eye catching. We would recommend this shoe! (I am the designated shoe purchaser because we live in a rural community on California's "Lost Coast" with few shopping options and he simply won't buy shoes for himself. He was delighted with this purchase and has become a vicarious Zappos fan and now tells patients about your shopping site).

These are one of the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever worn. Unfortunately after only 7 months of office wear the rubber sole has split on the balls of the foot on both shoes. I am disappointed with this lack of durability given the level of comfort they provide. I will not be purchasing another pair.

First off, I’m a shoe nut with a size 15 shoe. At this point, ordering shoes is my only real option outside of an outlet. Zappos is my first stop no matter what shoe I'm looking for. Customer service is so great I've not considered other options. This Cole Haan shoe is a keeper. My goal was to have a shoe I could wear from 5am-10pm while traveling. Although these shoes took a few trip to break in, I would recommend them for anyone looking for an all day shoe. They look great with jeans or business casual. I wouldn't wear them with a suit.

The best pair of shoes I own -
I purchased these shoes as a present for myself. By far Cole Haan is the best shoe I own and I have a huge collection of shoes. The quality of the shoe is outstanding, looks great and very comfortable. The customer service rep I spoke with was very pleasant, she sent my shoes overnight Fed-Ex, and there was no charge, saved me about $25. And the customer service is like no other. Great job guys keep up the good work. I would recommend to any and everyone. Thanks.

Not quite comfortable -
I was excited to get these shoes after reading how comfortable most found them. After wearing them for several weeks - a little stiff until broken in - I've got to say I'm disappointed. They are nice shoes in every way except comfort. For me the gels under the front balls are intrusive, and my feet actually hurt after wearing them all day. Seems a normal sole would have been better.

These are comfortable and easy to get on. You have to stick pants down in the boot unless you have a wide pant leg. They run whole sizes and I found them to be roomy enough to buy the 7 even though my usual shoe size is 7 1/2, rather than sizing up to an 8.

This is a perfect shoe. Looks great. Lots of support. It has the appearance of a classic loafer yet is not an over bulky or heavy shoe. I bought the black with the shine and am very pleased. I'm even more pleased with Zappos. This is the best company, on every level, to do business with.

Beautiful Shoes!
First, let me start by saying Zappos is by far the BEST company I have ever dealt with. Their Customer Service (returns policy) is incredible. I ordered these shoes around 3PM and the next day by 2PM I was being handed a box from Zappos. I don't know how they do it. I tried them on and didn't like how they fit so I called and asked for an exchange. Again, I was blown away. The new pair arrived before I even had the chance to send them back the 1st pair. Amazing! Simply amazing. I don't think I'll buy shoes anywhere else after this experience. You can't go wrong with Zappos. Oh yeah, the shoes. They are beautiful, comfortable and casually elegant. Things you can always expect from Cole Haan.

Best shoe I have ever owned -
I have 4 pairs and just rotate them. They are tremendously comfortable and stylish as well. I do a lot of walking at car dealerships, and the soles and Nike air system have saved my knees. I highly recommend this shoe if you are on your feet a lot...I've had many compliments on the shoe in both colors.

True to size -
I have wide feet. Some "wides" just feel like they're a size bigger, length included. This fit. A little stiff out of the box, but they're softening and molding nicely.

I bought these shoes a couple of days ago after reading the reviews and have to agree that it does take a couple of days to break them in. They are very stylish and I have gotten a few compliments on them already. I bought the matte black ones and the finish is perfect. It is not a flat finish, but more like semi-gloss. They look great with jeans of chinos and would be compatible with almost any kind of clothes from casual to dress. The quality is very impressive.
