I love my new Clarks. Super comfy (aside from occasional discomfort from the seam down the center under where the laces tie) and they aren't what everyone is wearing. Even better (and somewhat mysteriously), they showed up less than 24 hours after I ordered them. Go, Zappos!

Comfort and Style - These shoes are great! The crepe sole is extremely comfortable and flexible. They grip well to the tile floors in our middle school where I work. I wore them all day just after receiving them for a Christmas gift and did not experience any discomfort or foot fatigue.

Awesome shoes-Here's the trick to breaking them in! Alright, before I bought this shoe I read all of the reviews and I found that the biggest complaint was breaking them in. After years of figure skating and softball playing I've learned how to "bake" leather so I didn't have bleeding ankles. This method also works great for breaking in stiff shoes. All you need is a hair dryer and a blunt object that fits in the shoe. You heat the part of the shoe that is uncomfortable until the wax starts to melt a bit, then you use a hard, blunt object (I use a shot glass for shoes) to stretch out the leather from the inside. Keep moving the object around, don't just put it in the shoe and leave it there. I usually spend about 2 hours doing this while watching TV. Continue trying on the shoes to see what a difference you are making. It's pretty fail proof!!! Good luck and don't let anything keep you from the cool look of your new Clarks!

Great shoes - The shoes were great. I got them two years in a row for school and I found them worth the price. The shoes may begin to bend in the front if you buy it too big, but we found a way to fix that. We stuff the front of the shoes with cardboard and paper (having enough room for our toes). Therefore they don’t bend and leave a fold in the front of the shoes making it beautiful all year long. Thanks for the great shoes!!!

I ordered the Desert Treks for the specific purpose of a warm winter shoe to walk on ice. I have found crepe soles good for walking on ice, but unfortunately this shoe was painful in the toe area and the ankle area, so I had to return them. They were a great style though.

Left foot good, right foot pain! I don't know if it's my right foot or it's the right shoe, but I've been wearing these for a week straight (taking them off at night :) ) and the left shoe fits perfectly, but the right one cuts into my foot with every step (right where the shoe bends) I don't know what to do. Can I get a different right shoe? (Or a foot...)

This shoe is great if you are standing still. It really hurts breaking them in on the top where the shoe creases. I am sure that they will be great once they are broken in really good. Maybe some mink oil will help. If I had known how painful the break-in would be...I probably would not have bought them.

Vacation comfort - Sightseeing & shopping : I was on my feet everyday for 6 - 12 hours a day for 2 weeks and my feet felt FANTASTIC! These shoes are even more comfortable than Converse (which sometimes hurt the ball of my foot). For the first time ever while on vacation I experienced no foot pain, no blisters, no intense burning sensation at the end of the day *** NO DISCOMFORT, NOT EVEN A LITTLE!***. I also noticed that despite the 90 degree humid weather, my feet still felt cool and dry. The secret has got to be the crepe sole.

Great Classic Shoe - Shoe is just what I expected. My only "complaint" is that the light colored sole makes it more casual than it has to be and it gets dirty quickly so that diminishes the look all the more. But this really is pretty minor and I really like the shoes.

I wish these were more comfortable! These shoes LOOK really great with jeans or cords. Unfortunately, because of the thick leather, every step cut into the top of my toes where the shoe bends. I think it would eventually stretch out as it became broken in, but I could barely stand to walk across the room! The suede version would probably be very comfortable (my son has them and has had no problem) but I didn't like the light color for myself. Overall, the shoe seemed small, but again, I think it would stretch with wearing and fit fine, as I usually have no problem with Clark's shoes.

Hurts my ankles - The look of the shoe is great but they need much "breaking in" for me to enjoy. Terribly rubs against my ankle.

Love 'em - These shoes are so comfortable and didn't need any "break in " time at all. The color and texture of the leather is great and the first day I wore them without socks and they never hurt my feet or gave me a blister. I tried the "Wallabee " version but these were more comfortable for my wide wearing feet.

Best shoe ever! I go a private school and we have to wear uniforms and "nice" shoes. just about 7 out 10 wear Clarks, they are the best shoes ever. extremely comfortable and nice on the eye. I wear them everyday and they still look brand new. I highly recommend them to anybody, they are an all around good shoe!

I love these shoes - I have been wearing these shoes almost every day in the month since they arrived. I love them. They are comfortable. They are wearing well. I am a college professor, so I am on my feet a lot. No problem with these. I got them as a replacement for my J Seibels and now Clarks has a new customer for life! The leather is substantial. These will last me.

Look great, hold up great, hurt just a bit - I really do love these shoes. They look great and are holding up great - even the leather still looks great after trekking around the city in them for about a month now. The only complaint from me is that, for some reason, the rather soft leather still hurts my toe box area when I take a step, even though I’ve worn them in. By the end of the day, my feet have loosened them up enough, but again the next morning, it's like I have to wear them in all over again throughout the day. I like them enough to keep wearing them.

These just look so cool - And they are also EXTREMELY comfortable! I know that Clark’s cost some dough, considering they are not glamorous or have expensive soles, but they look GREAT, the leather is high quality (though you should always have shoe conditioner to clean them off for they scuff quite easily) and they are LONG LASTING. Trust me. You’ll have these for years and years.

I love these!!! I absolutely love these shoes - very comfortable from the get go! They have become my new favorite pair of shoes and I've received several compliments on them! They have an "old school" look to them!

Worn Out After 3,600 miles - I've worn a pair of these shoes for three years just about every day. I figure I have 3,600 miles on them and the sole of the right is worn out. I hate to get rid of them as they are my favorite pair. I'm wondering if I should treat myself to a new pair or send them to a shoe repair shop. The uppers still look like new thanks to monthly cleaning with saddle soap. What I would miss the most if I do get them repaired is that they would be gone for a couple of weeks.

Out of the box the shoe is a little stiff compared to the Wallabees but with a little leather conditioner and wearing around town and work the shoe is great. The footbed is different compared to the Wallabees but its kinda like the footbed in the doc marten's 8 eyelet boots and now it feels great.

Too high in heel - The back of the shoe cut into my ankle every time I moved. Love the look, but hurt the back of my ankle.
