I really love this shoe, I think I have worn this shoe since the mid 70s. If you find they are uncomfortable to break in, I would recommend using a shoe tree, the stretching kind. I put them in the shoes as soon as I get them and leave them in for two days and presto shoes that are broken in. I know what people mean when they say as your foot flexes, this shoe creases on the top and it can be painful, using the shoe stretcher resolves that. Also, if you need arch support, try "SuperFeet" orthotics. I have used them in these shoes and thought they fit well. Anyway, I love that Zappos carries my favorite shoes, Desert Treks and Wallabees.

he size 8, my normal size, was a slightly narrow/snug, but other reviewers have said these shoes loosen up. My problems with this shoe were that they made my foot appear to be about a yard long, and the sole is so flat and hard that it felt like walking on a wood floor. I returned them and gave them two stars because they do appear to be very well made and durable, if you can bear the style!

Wore them for the whole day around the house and out. They're super comfortable. It took very little time for me to break them in. Love how quiet the soles are when walking on hard surfaces. The soles are also well cushioned. Love these...next to my running shoes these will probably be my everyday shoes. I wear a true 8 and the 8 fits great.

I love these shoes. They are incredibly comfy. I feel very &"stealth" like when I wear them, because the are noiseless!

Clarks are not only comfortable but probably the most stylish shoe I've ever seen on men/boys, and women, too! I actually bought this pair for my son because they are unisex and not available in big boy sizes. Everyone in our family has this shoe and they last for years. The waxed leather is particularly nice. Got my first pair of Clarks in London and have been hooked ever since. High quality and highly recommended!

I love these boots - these were a replacement for some I'd worn through. I tend to prefer shoes with a wide toe box and these provide! A few wears are required to soften them up but once they are they're my go-to comfort shoes for all day wear.
I'd also recommend: Frye, Fly London, Keen
