Nice fit, good color. I originally ordered the loden color suede which appeared to be brown on my monitor, but which turned out to be green. This brown color is very nice, a classic shoe color. I found the shoe sized just a tad larger than marked, might be wise to head to the mall and try a pair of these on before ordering.

Clarks Desert Boot are my favorite boots. Stylish and flexible, I wear these boots from the desert to the city, dress them up with a pair of slacks, and dress them down with my favorite jeans; these shoes look and feel great. The easy-to-brush brown suede pair I purchased came looking fresh, and just gets more personality and as they age. It took a week or so to break them in all the way, but now these shoes feel so comfortable, they're my new go-to shoe.

I love these desert boots there so comfortable. I sprayed weather proofing on for the suede. And I have not had a problem yet.

I bought these shoes for my 23 year old son. He opened them and said he probably could not wear them because they came up to his ankles. I told him to just give them a try and I don't think he has taken them off since. He loves them!

Boots are well constructed as the past Clarks I have bought. They were a half size too big, but that was addressed with free return shipment and replacing them with the right size at no extra charge. It did take several wearings to get them to feel comfortable; initially they felt a little narrow. They fit well now and are one of my favorite pair of shoes.

Love them. They hold up very nicely due to the suede. Beware! The size is about a half smaller than your regular foot size!

Okay folks, #1. If you have a wide foot these are not the boot for you. I would look into the Desert Trek for those with wide feet. #2. 1/2 size down. I see complaint after complaint ad infinitum about this whereas I also see just as many people saying to order 1/2 a size down. I've been wearing Clatrks for 20 years. That's all I wear...every day. I have about 13 pairs of desert boots and one pair of Desert Mali (a higher top version of the desert boot, and I pray Zappos starts to carry them this fall). I had to get those from England. I tried the Desert Trek and (having a narrow foot) they were too wide for me. Comfortable boot, stylish, and can fit any situation. I have them in leather as well and they do look good with a slim fit suit. I would suggest these to anyone, but once again, if your foot measures 8 inches side to side, then just look at the pics and ask yourself "would they stretch that much?" No. They look narrow and are, for the most part. They do give, but when people complain about the seam splitting it makes me wonder (considering that in 20 years I've never had that problem).

Bought a pair for my father, and the size was true. They seemed very well made, and he loved them. He has very high arches (no shoes are ever high enough), so I can\'t say anything about arch support.

I love the look of the desert boots. They look great with a pair of jeans or even a cute dress, but they were really hard to break in. Also, you have to get at least a 1/2 size bigger than your true size. Make sure you wear the right socks as well. The first few times you wear them you will most likely get some blisters.

50's classic - Got my first pair in 1953 - tan only at the time. Worn the style off and on since then. Ultra comfortable shoe that never needs breaking in. Sleek appearance and goes with everything casual. There is a reason why a design lasts that long.
