Wow, these shoes are just so fresh. They look great; the feel is great; they sit well with jeans; overall just amazing shoes. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to go beyond the candy colored kicks that are popular today. They're a little bit pricey, but well worth it. My only gripe is that the inside of the tongue is white, and it's gotten stained a little bit blue from my pants. It's hardly noticeable, and it's basically my fault though! As always, Zappos was right on point with super fast shipping.

The Clae Romare Hi is great. I received a lot compliments on them. The only thing is you need to get it a 1/2 size bigger for the right fit.

The shoes are spectacular! They do seem to fit a half size smaller, but I am not sure if that's the problem. The shoes are pretty narrow so there is pressure on my pinky and big fat toes, but buying a 9 rather an 8 1/2 may have helped. I hope wearing them out here and there will eliminate the tension. Overall I am happy with them. I will be buying more Clae shoes in the future, at least a half size bigger.

These shoes seem like a standard white sneaker, but I was surprised at how stylish they actually were. They fit about true to size, have soft, comfortable padding, and look really clean. Match them up with a pair of dark jeans and wait for the compliments to come.

Nice shoes. I bought these shoes for my boyfriend and he loves them so much. This shoe is so nice. You will never be disappointed on these kicks. If you guys are looking for a simple but preppy look, you need to get these shoes.

This was my first time purchasing from Zappos and I have to say I was thoroughly satisfied. My shoes basically arrived within a day or two and look exactly liked they appeared online.

The CLAE Romare Lo in camel, is pure retro all the way! It; looks great and makes for a comfortable summer shoe. I wouldn't want to do any serious miles in them but a full day on the streets of Paris was no problem at all. I wasn't familiar with the CLAE label but I'm happy with what they did on this shoe.

I just bought my 2nd pair of Cousteaus, first the sage, now the navy. This will be my 3rd pair of Claes. My first was black Romare Highs. If I didn't have those in black, I probably would have bought the black Cousteaus instead. These are a lot more comfortable than the Romare Highs. They're comfortable, easy to put on, and unique. They remind me of the Vans velcro shoes, but so much cleaner. They stand out and no one else has them! The width of the toe is slim enough and doesn't bulge out like other shoes. Highly recommended.

White Whitman - Beautiful shoes, and completely comfortable (for the type of shoe) after less than an hour of break in. Half size above my usual worked out perfect. Strictly a cruising shoe so keeping them clean (cleaning off minor scuffs and rubs) has presented no problem so far. If the sheen on the toe throws you off like it did me initially - worry not. That is what brings the whole look together. Cool cool white shoe.

Looks awesome, but very uncomfortable. The shoes are stiff, too stiff. I would've returned them but I wore them for a day to try and break them in. every time I wear them Iâ€™m left with tender bruised skin towards the back of my heel and top of my big toe joint.

Clae Russel - I purchased these shoes after seeing a write up of the company on a fashion blog. I am very pleased with the look and feel of these shoes and I plan on ordering more Claes in the future. I have worn them a few times and they are just starting to break in. If you have a wide foot, you might need to order a 1/2 size bigger because they are a bit narrow.

Beautiful - Beautiful looking shoes. Wore them for the first time yesterday, and although the initial 15min breaking in the rigid tongue, there after it was surprisingly decent. I am used to high comfort over style with my shoes, so although I would like to cry and give it a 3 in comfort, I know for this style it's not bad at all.

Just got the navy size 8 in these kicks. I read the reviews of the Russell and I have to confirm the sizing. It is a bit smaller than the standard sizing measurements...so get a 1/2 size bigger. Other than that, they're everything I expected. Great shoe, I hope Clae introduces new colours to the market...classic sneaker !!!

Perfect casual sneaker, I bought the forest green Russell all-leather as soon as Clae came back from their hiatus and bought the black canvas/leather colorway as soon as their second collection hit stores. I must say the leather looked great but the canvas/leather definitely keeps their freshness longer. They run narrow so pick a larger size if possible, I'm a sz 13 so that's not an option but itâ€™s not the end of the world, just a little cramped after a long day. Well worth it still.

I wanted a shoe that my feet would appreciate by not rebelling by hurting, and the Clae Cousteau was that pain reliever for my feet. I don't think I like shoes anymore because Clae is more than just a shoe, it is a part of my body; you have your arms, head, neck, and then you have Clae. Perfectly made for my time.

Clae Diego Black (^_^) Very clean sneakers, simple but looks very stylish. Just got em but they look like they can be worn with many different looks. They're versatile. I'm satisfied with this purchase and its my first pair of Clae's. As mentioned in one of the previous reviews it can be tight around the toe area, I would've gotten a half size up but that size for me is sold out at the moment. The black leather looks like it'll wrinkle quickly ruining the smooth clean lines, only time will tell though. Hopefully Zappos will get more sizes in stock.

Awesome shoes! I bought these for my husband because he loves this brand so much. It's worth the pricey tag. He wears it all the time and you can even wear it dressing up or just casual. It is 1/2 size bigger.

Just as good as last time. This is the second pair of these shoes I have bought & reviewed. They are just as good as the last pair and I highly recommend them to anyone who has problems with shoe laces and needs boat shoes.

Can't go wrong with this pick - Simply put, these shoes are like a great wine. They come too fresh right out the box, yet somehow once they have been broken in the comfort seems to become superb, molding to the contours of your foot. Classic look using the most subtle of details and the best of materials, Clae has really outdone their selves this time.

Straight Dope. Couldn't be more satisfied with these kicks. I am definitely buying another pair of Clae's in the future. And I'm definitely happy that the size 10 and 11 were sold out because the 11.5 shoes fit my feet perfectly! I was surprised that they weren't too big at all.

The typical response of others when I wear my Diegos is, "I like those." Others that pay attention to shoes at least. I've always been a sneaker head and these would be my first casual athletic sneakers. The advantage of wearing sneakers all the time was the comfort I get that I don't find in many casual shoes, especially with my orthotics. However these shoes provide a comforting remedy when my wife would like me to dress up more, which typically means no sneakers. The colors and design of the Diegos is so stylish I can dress them up in slacks or just rock them with some khaki shorts. They are definitely my favorite shoes in the closet, and there are around 40 other pairs in there.

Best shoes I've ever bought - Clae Parkers strike a perfect balance between sophistication and casual, street style. I can dress them up with some nice jeans to go out to dinner, but rocking them casually with shorts looks good too. They are the only shoes that both my dad and my 21-year-old brother have both been jealous of me having - a testament to their ageless style. The price is a little steep, but unavoidable with niche-brand shoes like this, and worth it in my opinion.
