About Clae
2001 saw the launch of Clae shoes. Clae is credited as being one of the first brands to make a mark in the “athleisure” footwear movement with their respected stable of Clae sneakers. Clae sneakers are seen as a hybrid collection that offers sneaker-comfort fused with classic footwear styling.
The introduction of Clae sneakers spawned a new definition of casual. Clae sneaks deliver quality production, attention to detail and fashionable style. After a three year incubation, 2007 saw the return of Clae shoes to satisfy the cravings of the marketplace for a fresh look to footwear.

Great looking shoe. Absolutely no complaints in the style department.I had some problem with the fit of the heel. The back of the shoe put awkward pressure on the back of my foot/ankle, which at first was uncomfortable and has since lead to the back of my shoes deteriorating. I've had my Kennedys about 4 months and the backs are shredded. If you don't experience the same sort of fit problem I have had, then these shoes are fantastic.
I love these shoes. They're so comfortable, so durable. I'll never buy from another shoe brand other than Clae. After a year and a half of playing basketball, hiking, and working in these shoes, they are still as comfortable as when I first got them. I did mess up the interior leather up some, though. But that hasn't affected the feel of them.
As someone who owns four pairs of Clae shoes (Baylor, Thompson, Zissou, all in black leather) including these, these are a huge disappointment. They were comfortable...when I put them on and wore them around the house. As soon as I stepped outside and walked a good distance, the area near my heel where the material is sown started cutting into my foot, causing pain with every step I took. It was enough to graft a good amount of skin off and even caused me to bleed through my socks. Putting duct tape on the area didn't seem to help anything, and I will try wearing thicker socks next time. The color and material in question is the black mesh pair, not on Zappos. Thankfully I only got them cheap and are (hopefully) a dud pair.
Love these. Soft leather without being too flimsy. And so comfortable. I often get compliments. I always buy a size larger with Clae's.
Kinda hard to put on, but once they are on they get the job done. Pretty fresh!
I love this shoe! It's a great looking, dressier sneak. I got the black, and they are super easy to clean. Just wipe them off with a slightly damp rag, and they look brand new! Didn't feel smaller than marked, but they're narrower, so order a size up!
Definitely order a size larger. They are a nice, stylish and comfortable shoe. But as another viewer noted, the grey leather is darker than the wool, so it's more of a two-tone look. I often get compliments on them.
One of the more uncomfortable sneakers I've ever worn. The toe digs into my foot and it gets quite painful. They do look fly though.
Shoe looks and feels great just like the other pair of Clae's I own. Only thing I would say is, if you are looking for an everyday shoe, this one is kind of hard to pull off. It's almost too fresh, if you know what I mean.
Great looking high top, I thought they would get dirty quick; I was wrong. I'll be ordering more Clae's in the future.
The Clae Gregory is comfortable with plenty of style without going too far; perfect for the warm months.
I was really excited when I saw these shoes on Zappos because I've been wanting a pair charcoal wool shoes. When I finally received them I was really disappointed. The photo on the web makes the shoe look like it's all grey. The actual shoe that I got, the leather areas were really dark almost black looking. So the shoes look like charcoal grey wool with black leather. Buyer beware!
Really like these shoes. Materials are quality and the ripstop is unique and very durable. Comfort wise they do run a half to full size small and are narrow towards the front. Took a little breaking in but after that they were very comfortable. I love the simple look and fact that they don't have a huge logo anywhere on them. Definitely a more adult sneaker.

This is a very nice shoe. The style is super slick and they're pretty comfortable. They felt a little on the narrow side at first, but they started breaking in wonderfully after a few days of wear.
This is a great pair of shoes. Comfortable right out of the box. The styling is exceptional. Simple and cool at the same time. I will buy these again.
Clae Russells are an extremely fly looking pair of kicks. I get looks/compliments all the time. Make sure to wear your jeans behind the tongue to show off the full look and the red leather inside! They do run narrow and short, as I had to size up to a size 11 from a normal size 10.
I am consistently a size 10 in sneakers, and these shoes definitely run about a full size smaller in width, so order up.The Ballistic Nylon is fantastic looking and contrasts nicely with the smooth leather. Wear these with your jeans behind the tongue to make sure you can show these kicks off. Trust me, you will get many positive looks.The shoe has a very comfortable footbed; in fact, it's one of the most comfortable sneakers I have ever owned, and I am counting over 50 pairs across a variety of brands (Nike, Reebok, Adidas, Puma, Converse, Tretorn, Tsubo among them).
These kicks look great but Clae needs some growing to do in terms of product development. The white sole gets dirty and is impossible to clean. The shoe also has a very bad fit. After ordering 2 sizes larger than my size, I had to remove the sole in order to fit into the shoes. It seems as though the length of the shoe fits the normal sizing charts but Clae hasn't accounted accurately for the spacing inside the shoe. All in all, design wise the shoe is nice but the pain of wearing them isn't worth the price.
