Thanks! We'll notify you as soon as we add new styles for Chrome.
Chrome started in Boulder, Colorado 15 years ago when a couple of guys needed bags and couldn't find anything that met their standards. So they got the toughest materials they could find, headed into their garage and started sewing. Functional seatbelts from used car lots were re-constructed into bag straps and tough vinyl fabric salvaged from old furniture was sewn in as bag liners.

Before long, people were knocking on their door. Word was out that Chrome was making the best messenger bags around. What started out of necessity became a business with an ethic: build functional products that people can rely on and do it well.

Eventually they moved to San Francisco, a city with a huge urban cycling scene. The business grew. Bags were joined by clothes, gear and shoes. Their products showed up from Brooklyn to Berlin to Tokyo. For Chrome, what matters today is what mattered in the garage - building products that work, and standing behind everything they make.

This shoe takes a little while to break in but after you do they are pretty comfortable. The rubber toe (top and front) are good for bike clips. The material is pretty durable and has stayed pretty clean. It is not waterproof, but you can bike through a pretty bad downpour and your socks will be dry, although the shoe will be really wet and will need to dry. Unfortunately, despite really wanting to love these shoes, there are major drawbacks. Firstly, the heel is wearing out way to fast for such a pricey shoe. Secondly, there is no loop for the laces to prevent them from being caught in the pedal as the description claims. That is a pretty important for bike shoes. Lastly, Chrome is very popular with the hipsters (I found this out after I bought the shoes) so now I look like the people I hate.

For now, I can't say that I've liked these shoes. It seemed like a good idea, and I can't find anybody else who is making a shoe that bridges the gap between clipples peddals and toe clips, but the execution is lacking for this product. As others have said, this shoe is quite uncomfortable to walk in, to the point that I'd worry about doing permanent damage to my feet and legs if I wore them for too long. On top of that, the fabric of the shoe itself is rather flexible, which allows your foot to move around a fair bit when riding, destroying any advantage you get from the rigid sole. My disclaimer, however, is that my foot is rather low, so I might be able to get a better fit with some extra arch support and tounge padding. However, as this shoe will only really be useful for long rides and not for everyday life, I can't say that I'm jumping to get them working perfectly.

These shoes are awful. It's a crying shame too because they look great. The problem is comfort. The soles are like hard rubber blocks, no flex at all. Wearing this shoe is like having my foot inside a brick. I think I'm going to have to send them back.

I've had them a couple of weeks and they're still not broken in. They feel great while riding, but are torture when walking.

I have gotten tons of compliments on these shoes (mostly from men). They are really comfortable and I think they are just fine for walking or riding my bike. I have had them about a month so I cannot say how long they will last, but I hope for a long time.

Great kicks. Very comfortable. The front & side rubber makes it easy to keep clean. Go well with all my jeans.
