Interested in new Chippewa products?
Initially, Chippewa started with only logger boots in its product line. Constructed of double and triple leather midsoles and hand-plugged outsole spikes, the logger boots were designed to assist loggers as they rolled the logs down the rivers to the mills. Based on that state-of-the-art boot, Chippewa gained a reputation for quality and began expanding the product line to include more boot categories.
The past century has brought significant changes in the need for quality outdoor work and sport footwear. Chippewa Boots continues to add new products to its inventory to meet the needs of its loyal following. As part of the Justin Brands, Inc. family, quality and craftsmanship continue to be the leading guides in its development, just as it has been for the last 100 years. Rugged as the land they walk, Chippewa. Live the Spirit.

Boots felt wonderful right out of the box, excellent arch support, not as heavy as some loggers they are not insulated which I consider a good thing, the insulation can make feet hot in summer. Very water proof (standing in a creek). They are the best, by far.

I normally wear an 8.5 dress shoe, and between 8.5 - 9 in running shoes. I went with a size 9 in the Chippewa logger and find that the boot is perfect for me. The added 1/2 size from my dress shoe is slightly noticeable, but I would not say that the added room is too much that the foot is moving inside the boot. The little bit of extra room is comfortable, and I think my feet will enjoy them in the summer when the feet swell from the heat. Personally, I think an 8.5 would have been a little too binding and somewhat uncomfortable. I also considered cheaper brands like Carhartt, Carolina, and Georgia boot in the logger style. The excellent quality of a Chippewa boot and the Zappos sale pricing made this a winning choice for me. I also received next day shipping to boot. I am now waiting for the warmer weather to arrive so I can enjoy them for what I purchased them for... a good motorcycle ride.

Caught these on a significant sale at Zappos and decided to stray away from my regular brand of loggers. I have worn Carolina boots for approx 20 years and find Chippewa to be superior. Don't worry about them being narrow they are fine if you typically wear a regular width, did not find them to be narrow at all and I am on the wider side of regular. Broke in quickly. Tongue is padded and shoe is lined instead of being bear leather on the inside. Order two and send back the one that does not fit if you are in doubt.

I have owned another pair of these boots for a few years so when I got around to thinking about replacing them I immediately went to Zappos.com. Zappos had the exact boots I wanted in the size I needed and all for less than half of what I had paid in a local boot store when I bought my original pair. I ordered them without hesitation since I had the actual SKU number. They arrived within days of ordering them. What I like about Zappos shipping is that they don't send you an email saying that the order has shipped until the day the order is scheduled to be delivered, that is quite clever, and I like clever. When I remember again to buy boots when I need them they will come from Zappos. You can't beat Zappos, enough said!

I never write reviews, but I love these boots enough to make an exception. I got them as motorcycle boots and couldn't be happier with the way they've performed. All day comfort, great protection, good looks, excellent value.
