Chippewa 11" Ladies Engineer Boot

The right boot at a great price! Comfortable right out of the box! Since there are only 9's, 9.5's & 10's in stock for now, my experience may be of help. I am generally a 10B (sometimes a 9.5--my feet are more narrow than medium) in most shoes. Bike boots and cowboy boots seem to be sized from the heel up as opposed to the toe down like shoes. From reading the reviews, I went with a 9 and they are PERFECT! Just to give you one last source of reference--if I place my right foot on top of a ruler, heel to toe measures 10”. My calves are 14." These boots are not too wide like some of the Harleys. And, frankly, I like not having an inside zipper to deal with. Ordered these Sun. night, and I've already got them on my feet as I type this out to you Tues. afternoon! THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN NICE PEOPLE AT ZAPPOS!!!!

Gotta get ‘em - Got my boots about 2 years ago and they only get better with time. These are the real deal. So if you want the finest Engineer boot money can buy, look no further. Buy these boots to fit. Don't mess around with sole inserts or the like. They fit more like cowboy boots, so if you have a high instep, you may have trouble getting them on. The oil resistant soles grip the asphalt like nobody’s business. The looks speak for themselves.

Boots were very well made, comfortable, look like they will last for years. Only problem was with sizing: I'm usually a 9, but these were about a half-size larger, so am returning for the 8.5.

Purchased chippewa 12" wellingtons - First time Zappos customer and what a great group of people to deal with A+++ Boots came exactly as described and fit like a glove true to size chart and width with an excellent arch support. I wear them all day every day at work and got many compliments on how well they look.

I bought these as a Valentine's Day gift - and they were very well received. He wore them immediately, and loved them. Water-proof, soft on inside, cozy, comfortable, zipper was a huge plus - perfect for Chicago winters with the snow, sleet, freezing rain, slush! The size was 100% correct.

True dry-waterproof boots - Excellent boot! A little stiff in the sole, but you can't complain with the looks and the waterproofing. Cleans well.

Disappointed with heel - Chippewa has made a change in the construction of the heel on their engineer boots. Changed from multiple layers of leather to a solid rubber heel. Cheap look. Not happy with the change.

Great boot - I bought a pair of these 2 years ago and have worn them on several long motorcycle trips. Very comfortable, they wear very well, they look good, and they are made in the USA. Can't ask for much more.

The only problem with these boots is that the tongue is a little thick which causes them to rub on your ankles. Other than that, there is enough room for an extra pair of socks and, so far, they have held up well.

Chippewa's 12" Wellington - These are very nice boots. Chippewa has been a favorite for years, Workmanship is first class and the leather uppers will outlast me. My only complaint would be that the shaft is too small for my foot. Once they are on they fit like custom made. I would buy them again and again. Mike

What happened to size 14? Great work boot, I bought a pair here from Zappos size 14 and now they don't carry that size anymore. The boot holds up well and is very comfortable, true to size. I've been living in mine for a couple of years now. Had to get the sole replaced which gave me another years worth of wear. I want another pair size 14, now what do I do?

These boots are gorgeous and very comfortable. They look very elegant with pants or skirt/dress but I don't think that I'll wear them in the rain.

Life in Chippewa’s - My wife bought my first pair of Chippewa. I didn’t care too much for all the shine and pretty leather so I went straight out and took care of that! I did have to put insoles in them, after that they fit great and wore great. I have bought another pair since and they are waiting for the first pair to wear out!

Opening for foot is narrow, hard to get on and off. Right foot, top is very tight and causes pain and redness. Insole was not cushioned, insert was needed to walk with comfort.

Difficult to find size - Last four steel-toe boots have ended up not fitting. These boots were wider than I wanted, but after the others being too small after wearing them and my feet swelling, I took a chance and ordered them. They fit good.

Cool Boots!! It was my alternative to some women's boots and I tried them on today for riding on my bike! Once you got in (it's a little hard, I guess because they're new and a little stiff) they are what they've promised: great look, great feeling to wear!!!! By the way: thank you to the CS rep., packing & shipping my items!!!!!

Great boot, but runs large! I've been wearing these for a year for motorcycling. I even wore them to work one day last winter and they weren't super comfortable for being on my feet a lot (my feet hurt easily), but they work great for riding. Definitely order smaller than you usually wear. I normally wear a 9.5 and a 9 is plenty big on me. I think they've worn great and still look brand-new.

Holy Good God! YES!!! so I needed some nice looking and functional boots to ride the bike with- had hiking boots and the heel was all wrong for the brake and shifter- read endlessly on Harley and Frye and then found these babies- they are amazing- made in USA- more important that most think- then handmade! Come on! So everyone was right on the BUY ONE HALF SIZE DOWN!!! I am a strong 11 in everything and got a 10.5 they are perfect with even a bit of room! And god the looks- buy these as an investment and they will please you!

Awesome boots - These boots are so awesome. They are very solid and sturdy and yet real comfortable and a joy to wear 15 to 16 hours a day like I do. I would buy these boots again in a minute and I am even thinking of buying another pair in black. I love the look and the fact that they are waterproof and have steel toes to protect my little piggies. I even wear them just hanging around or if I go out with a nice pair of pants or jeans. I am 110 % hooked on Chippewa boots. It does take a few hours to get used to the heels but no big deal.

Review of Chippewa 11," Odessa Engineer - I bought these boots for my husband. He really liked them and they are comfortable. I had to have zippers put in them as they were a little hard to get on and off.

About Chippewa

Chippewa Since 1901, Chippewa has been creating footwear based on simple, fundamental rules. Most importantly, they use only the best materials, the best construction techniques and the most innovative technology. The result -- unquestionably the best boots around. That's what we mean when we say Chippewa Integrity.

Initially, Chippewa started with only logger boots in its product line. Constructed of double and triple leather midsoles and hand-plugged outsole spikes, the logger boots were designed to assist loggers as they rolled the logs down the rivers to the mills. Based on that state-of-the-art boot, Chippewa gained a reputation for quality and began expanding the product line to include more boot categories.

The past century has brought significant changes in the need for quality outdoor work and sport footwear. Chippewa Boots continues to add new products to its inventory to meet the needs of its loyal following. As part of the Justin Brands, Inc. family, quality and craftsmanship continue to be the leading guides in its development, just as it has been for the last 100 years. Rugged as the land they walk, Chippewa. Live the Spirit.
