I have had 3 pairs over the last few years. They are comfortable and great as my motorcycle boots.

I work in the power systems maintenance industry where sites require work boots (some steel toe some not). Got these because they are darn stylish while still looking rugged enough for the job. By far the most comfortable sole I have ever had in a boot. Watch the size though. I had to full size down in order to get the right fit. Fantastic boot though. Highly recommend.

I have been wearing the Chippewa 5" Bay Apache Double Gore Tundra Boots for a few weeks now. Love them! Comfortable, waterproof, looks good for casual business, slip right off under the desk (after hot walks during breaks in Florida) and only a second to slip back on. Does everything it says! I initially worried that it slipped a little with no laces, but there is no issue there (again, after a few weeks). Additionally, I like a larger than normal toe box and this shoe does that too.

I bought these boots for my teenage son. I was impressed with the high quality leather. Also very well made! You certainly get your money's worth! A very good buy! Of course my son won't take them off! Also they fit true to size.
So, so good. Have only worn them about ten times. They seem to be waterproof as described. Its comfortable as a work boot can be. Will be wearing it more often during the winter.

I experienced the best customer care at Zappos than at any other store, freestanding or online. The merchandise is always a advertised. I ordered the wrong size and my return was handled quickly. I actually received the new boots the day after speaking with the pleasant, helpful folks in customer care. I have since recommended Zappos to everyone I know.
I purchased a pair of these boots thinking that they were a good boot because of the price. Boy was I wrong. The liner is junk, it tore out in the heel after 3 months, and causes blisters bad. The lacing busted on the sides. The welt cracked after 2 months, so they are not waterproof either. Chippewa told me to take the back to where I bought them, and they no longer sell them. So I wasted a lot of money on some crappy boots, so buyer beware.
After purchasing these boots, and wearing them a few times while riding my bike, the soles began falling off. I returned to the store [French's], with no receipt to find I had wasted more money by attempting to solve my issue with junk boots. All they were willing to do was pass me on to one of their friends in the repair business. I felt I had already spent too much money on the junk already, and said I will never buy anything from them again. Take my advice and buy something else, that you might get to wear.

When trying to replace a pair of the Chippewa 6 Bison waterproof boots I found them not available where purchased until late August and I need them for a Safari trip to Africa to photograph and video my stepsons hunt. I found them available at Zappos and that they paid shipping to and on return if needed. Remarkable service for Zappos.

This is hands-down the best motorcycle harness boot I've ever had. I've tried Dingo, Justin, Durango, and even expensive Frye boots (huge disappointment on the Frye boots) and these Chippawau are the best. Order half size smaller than usual and put in cheap Dr. Scholls and you have the ultimate boot. Great non-marking sole with super traction. Thick leather that holds itself up unlike cheaper leather harness boots that slouch easily. Perfect boot.
I bought these to fit job requirements, not comfort. The leather broke in pretty fast with a little mink oil. Overall, pretty inexpensive compered to my other options, so they're working out okay. I sort of wish I splurged and bought something more comfortable, but my location and the time constraints lead me to Zappos and these boots. FYI, The heels of the boots rubbed terribly the first time I wore them. The insoles were not removable as advertised. They don't provide enough padding or support, so I put some Super Feet in them. After buying those, the heel rubbing issue has been resolved, but the padding is still lame.

First of all I have to say I have never had service like this ever. I ordered these boots from Zappos.com last night around 9pm they were at my door the next morning around 11 am. Now for the boots, they look great, tried them on, and found that they were just a bit larger about a 1/2 size than my normal size of 10. They do not come with a cushion insole so by the time I added my insole they were perfect. I like the fact that I was able to add my own insole. The quality looks to be very high, the durability, well time will tell but by the way they?re made they should last for many years. I would highly recommend Zappos and these boots.
Well, I've had these boots 8 years. If they were going to break in, they would have by now. On my motorcycle, they feel great. Walking from my bike to the house or inside the c-store, no problem. But, I have twice now made the mistake of wearing these to Bike Week and ANY walking around of ANY distance absolutely kills my feet and gives me blisters. I had to switch to tennis shoes just for my feet to heal. They look like cool motorcycle boots, but are absolutely the most uncomfortable things I have ever put on my feet for walking around bar none. Great for sitting, horrible for walking.
I do not normally wear cowboy boots because they are too tight and hurt my feet, so this was a big risk for me. Others I've tried, I cannot even get my foot into. These boots fit great right out of the box and required little to no break in period. The first day they were a bit stiff, but still felt good. After that, they fit like gloves. The finish is tough and does not scratch while kicking stuff like metal desk legs, etc. I'll wear these around town and to work on casual day for a few years and then they will become my ranch boots - they will have to stand up to chain sawing, dragging and burning trees, rock work, fire ants, and hunting hogs. I am confident they will stand up to the "ranch test." I would wear them every day if I could.

I work for an insurance company as a claims investigator and I have to go into some pretty nasty water, fire and muck situations. This boot works for all those situations. The boot was comfortable right out of the box. The collar is a little stiff, but it?s not uncomfortable. I?ve had them for three months now and they still look new, just hose them and brush them off. Very little if any wear in the soles. I bought size 9 1/2 and they are roomy enough for thicker socks and not wallowy with thinner ones. Best boots I?ve ever owned.

Well, Zappos has done it again. As a VIP member, I had no doubt about Zappos service. And as for this boot, it is very comfortable right out of the box. I followed the other reviews and purchased a half size smaller and it fits like a glove. I?ve got them on right now and might even sleep in them. I normally wear a size 11 and got the 10.5. I also bought some Durangos from Zappos a couple of years ago and I still like them, but these Chippewas will be my riding boot for sure. Thanks Zappos!
