Chippewa Reviews
I have worn these every day since I bought them in October. I had to replace the shoe laces not long after I began wearing them. Other than that I really enjoy them, very comfortable right out of the box. I have cleaned and treated with saddle soap and that's about it.
Love these boots! Before I retired I had the higher (10" or so) logger boots for work, these are just as rugged but a little less work oriented so wear them pretty much all the time. I've always preferred a higher shoe for great support. Buying from Zappos is always great. Ordered 10 1/2 first, too roomy so next day got these.

Like others I found the only fault to be the laces cheap quality and I will be replacing them soon. I bought these for outdoor work mostly in the winter, firewood cutting and splitting. I chose a steel toe boot for those large chunks falling off the splitter after nearly losing a toe. The quality is first rate. I have a brother and sister in law who are both in the construction business and whom have owned many steel toe work boots, they were both very impressed with the construction. I even felt the initial comfort was above expected. There's no better value out there for the price.

Great boots! These are really well made boots from Chippewa; the leather is really thick, and feels soft right out of the box. The insole and vibram sole make them really comfortable for long wear. I've worn mine to work 10 hour days and come home with no aches or pains! I will say they seem a little narrow, I don't normally wear an extra wide shoe or boot, but the width of these was a little snug; they have stretched and become more comfortable after use, but I probably should have bumped up to the EE version.

I am very pleased with these boots. Prior to this, the only other boots I owned a pair of Doc Martens. Though these were a little more expensive, the leather is much higher quality and broke in much easier. They are solid, comfortable, and look sharp. And made in the US, even! I would agree with a previous reviewer about sizing down - I normally wear an 11D, but wear a 10EE in this boot. Still, I'm looking forward to wearing these for a good long while.

After 22 years working in a busyness that requires me to be on my feet all day, these are the best work boots I have ever owned. My feet are hard to fit, 13AA, long and narrow. These boots are cut a little narrower and shaped well for a narrow foot. At the same time they offer a comfort that is not often found in work boots. I have been wearing them for almost a year now. Every other boot that I have warn would be close to the end of there life and these are just getting started. I often work long hours on floors made from everything from wood to cement to rock to grass to aluminum, at the end of every day my feet still feel great. Really these boots rock.

Stylish boot but couldn't get the right fit after trying 2 sizes. 10s were too slack. 9.5 too tight. Great leather feel, great style but just didn't fit me.

Great service and excellent price from Zappos. The Chippewa boots are just what I wanted. Great support, waterproof and warm for our cold NH winters.
This is one of the best boots that I own. They are extremely tough and once they break in, they will be the most comfortable boots you have ever owned. They are pretty waterproof as well, as long as you don't go slogging through super-deep puddles. They look great with jeans and they get such a nice patina on them over time that you will like them more and more the more you wear them. The soles are tough and the leather is nice and thick so you are protected against most foot related dangers. This is an amazing boot that you will not regret buying.

Bought these for my son and he rely likes them. He is pretty picky about his work boots and these fit the bill.
Good looking boot. Typical in terms of comfort for a work boot: still leather, firm sole, waxed stiff laces.

Great pair of boots for when you want to feel more manly and patriotic. Ruggedly comfortable. Fantastic American flag accent on the shoe laces. Definitely need to break them in. Don't be a wimp about it. I took it a half size down than my usual shoe size. Got the wide variant because I have wide feet. Spot on.
I normally wear an 8.5 dress shoe, and between 8.5 - 9 in running shoes. I went with a size 9 in the Chippewa logger and find that the boot is perfect for me. The added 1/2 size from my dress shoe is slightly noticeable, but I would not say that the added room is too much that the foot is moving inside the boot. The little bit of extra room is comfortable, and I think my feet will enjoy them in the summer when the feet swell from the heat. Personally, I think an 8.5 would have been a little too binding and somewhat uncomfortable. I also considered cheaper brands like Carhartt, Carolina, and Georgia boot in the logger style. The excellent quality of a Chippewa boot and the Zappos sale pricing made this a winning choice for me. I also received next day shipping to boot. I am now waiting for the warmer weather to arrive so I can enjoy them for what I purchased them for... a good motorcycle ride.

These are excellent boots for the price. The leather seems to be full-grain, the shoe is fully welted so the sole can be recrafted, the sole is low-profile but still grips well. Construction seems bombproof. The details aren't as polished as they could be and there is a bit of extra rubber here and there on the soles that could stand to be shaved down, for example. But structurally speaking, there are no flaws. I've only had mine for a short while, and after a couple applications of leather protector, they have cheerfully withstood a few days in my dad's woodworking shop and a hike through snowy mountains. A few scuffs here and there enhance these shoes' good looks. They are comfortable and break in pretty quickly. No blisters or hot spots at all. If you're looking for a high-quality, US-made boot but don't want to dish out big bucks for brands like Red Wing and Wolverine, these Chips are a great affordable alternative.
Comfortable. Don't look as "rugged" as they appear in the picture. Seem to look better with pants that have a narrower ankle opening.

These boots are amazingly comfortable. I wear a size 11 in sneakers and a 10 ee fit my slightly wider than D foot. I got a size 10 because my Allen Edmonds 5th Avenue are a true fit at 10. The vibram soles could use a bit more tread but can be replaced over time. Take care these and they'll out last you!
A solid pair of boots. They seem to run slightly large and a bit narrow. I normally wear somewhere between a 9.5 and a 10 and a 9.5 fits about right. They are a narrow boot. I do not normally order wide shoes, but I'll be exchanging the Ds for EEs. Great style.
