Overall:

These are very similar, if not identical, to my Chinese Laundry "Strate" style suede boot that came out last year, the one Serena wore in grey on gossip girl. I got these in black leather. For the price, they don't look that cheap. I usually wear a 7 (and am a 7 in Fryes) but have the Strate in a 6.5, so got a 6.5 in this style. They fit, but could use a little stretching. I haven't worn these out yet, so not sure if the ankle will bunch down and get all wrinkly. I'd prefer if they stood up straight, but as others have noted, the leather is kinda thin and there isn't much stiffness/support in the ankle. Hence, I wouldn't be surprised if these bunched. You can also fold these down so the top is horizontal (vs. diagonal). All in all, decent for price. Thanks Zappos for super quick shipping!

First of all, I love Zappos.com! Their shipping and service policy makes ordering online risk-free. The Ivory Baldwin shoe deserves its rave reviews. The picture looks more matte than the actual shoe, which is a rich bridal ivory satin. They are very high, but it doesn't feel high due to the platform. I would order in every color if I could. Also, the softness of the fabric eliminates the "cutting" feeling you sometimes get around the toe.

I have been looking for a while for shoes for my upcoming wedding. When I came across this shoe, I totally loved the look and ordered them (I had them shipped to a friend in US and they shipped them to me in Europe; the crazy thing that women do for their shoes). Anyways, the shoes are perfect! Beautiful ivory color matching my ivory dress. I wear 6.5 or 7 size, I ordered 6.5 and they fit well. The platform and satin fabric makes them very comfy. Can't wait to wear them for my wedding!

Zappos is awesome, shipping was super-quick, as usual. This shoe is very sexy looking however, the ankle strap is glued in place in the back of the shoe, not stitched and came apart on one of the shoes the very first wearing. I should have returned them, but was so aggravated I threw them in the garbage that night.

The shape of the boot is very chic and the added height is great. These are going out shoes though, as most of the weight is on the toe and if you were wearing this all day it might be uncomfortable, although for a few hours at a time it is not bad at all. Very versatile, can be worn with skirts and slacks.

Surprisingly comfortable! I think the platform and the fact that the front portion is made of soft satin fabric with no hard lining at all makes these shoes easy to wear for hours and hours. They are also pretty well-made for the price. I expected them to be more cheap-looking.

Amazing! I got these shoes thinking with all that strappy leather they were going to hurt, but I could put up with them for one night. I was wrong! They didn't hurt at all and I was dancing all night at a wedding! Totally true to fit.

Amazingly comfortable, even after dancing in them for 3 hours. I don't usually wear heels, and these surprised me. Lots of support and true to size. They look great, very classy! Got them in Red, a hard to find color in this type of style.

This boot slouches nicely once you start wearing it. I got the boots in gray and have gotten a good number of compliments on them. When I first tried it on I almost slipped too because of the heel, and I thought once I got it marked up from walking they would stop slipping around. Not the case! Also, if you have small calves, this boot will be huge around your legs. I have huge calves and it\\\'s pretty big around mine.

These boots are great. Very comfortable, true to size, fits my calf, etc. I was hesitant to buy shoes on the internet without trying them on first, but I was pleasantly surprised. My only complaint is that the suede is not the best quality, but fine for the price.

Love the boots. They look great. I think they run true to size. My only problem is that with such a high heel, good lord, why did they not think of putting at least a little padding for your poor feet? I would highly recommend these boots for the style and the fit, but buy some cushy little high heel insoles to increase comfort!

These boots are great and I get plenty of compliments on them. I am 5'7" and they come to just above my knees. I have very muscular calves, so knee-high boots without a zipper usually don't work for me, but these actually are a little bit big in the calf for me. If I wear thick knee-high socks or tuck in my jeans; they stay up fine, but if I wear tights or thin socks, they sag when I walk. Overall, I love them but they could be a little slimmer in the calf.

I love these boots. I fit a size 5 or 5 1/2, but I got these in a size 6 and they fit perfectly. They're super comfy and they look great with leggings or skinny jeans.

I got these shoes 2 days ago and they are so awesome. I have received so many compliments on them. Reading the reviews I decided to order half a size down and they fit so snug and they are not uncomfortable in any way whatsoever. I love the half inch heel because I am 5'10" so I don't like to wear really high heels. The shoes are just great.

I got these boots in black suede after seeing them on lots of celebrities. They are great! I don't know about the leather, but the suede looks much more expensive than what they cost. The inside is a cheap material, but nobody can see that! They are pretty comfortable although I haven't worn them all day yet. They aren't the warmest boots, but that's not really why I bought them. These are a great way to get into the over-the-knee boot trend without spending hundreds of dollars. Highly recommend!

These shoes are hot! Just edgy enough to be fashionable. Surprisingly comfortable for a shoe of this heel height. Not for the faint of heart. If you don't want to be noticed, pass on these. When you wear them, everyone will comment on them!

Great boots! My first time shopping on Zappos, I needed some fall boots and wanted them in grey. These boots are so cute, not too tight around the calf and the buckle is so cute. Glad I went with the right choice.

Great looking shoe. Very sturdy heel and they don\'t feel as high on as they look. No pinching at the toes and no toe cleavage either. I tried them on with almost every pair of pants I own and they looked great with everything! I have the Taupe color and think I might go ahead and order the black pair as well. Not sure yet about all day comfort but wearing them around the apartment for a while was no problem.
