Chaco Reviews
I tried these on at a local store, but the color selection was black or black, so I ordered the blue ones from Zappos, which I was really looking forward to. Unfortunately, the shoes they sent didn't even resemble the one's I ordered, so I guess I am going to have to settle for black.
This is my second pair of Chaco's. First pair lasted 5 years of extreme use (both trail & city) and finally wore down. ZX/2 Yampa provides great arch support and I love the tangerine color. The shoes brighten every outfit with a little color pop.
I have plantar fasciitis and needed a casual sandal with good arch support. This is it. I love the red was pleased to find it in a wide width. I also like the footbed - much nicer than the traditional Chaco footbeds.
I love these shoes! I bought them based on everyone's reviews and they were right! I have flat feet and sandals are so hard to wear without orthotics. The support is great, no breaking in time, no blisters or rubbing from the straps. Love the Vibram sole. I recently wore these on my vacation to the islands and they were great for all the walking etc. really good arch support and the heel cup provides added support. It's nice the straps are adjustable as summer means swelling (sometimes). They are worth the cost. I'm getting another pair!
I really like the high arch - very comfortable, even for my wide foot. The straps are completely adjustable, which makes the fit perfect, whatever shape your foot! I have bunions and these sandals don't bother them at all. I will definitely buy another pair in the future.
I can tell you that as a teacher who stands all day, woman on the go, and fashionista, these definitely fit the bill. They are comfortable, cute, and they don't flop around like so many others that have tried to pull off this look. I love them and own 4 different colors! True to size. If you are in between, definitely size up.

These are my favorite shoes. If I could wear them to work I would, but I work in the healthcare field. That wouldn't go over well. These shoes are so adjustable, even if they aren't fitting you quite right, just a quick pull here and there, then perfection. I do have fairly high arches so arch support was very important to me. I wanted an open toe but with a little more stability than most sandals could offer. My old Teva sandals allowed a little to much movement and slide forward. The toe loop over the big toe keeps everything in place perfectly. It did take a little getting used to, but so very worth it. Never uncomfortable, just different. The double strap is both stylish and open feeling. I can only imagine the miles these sandals have taken me and they are still in excellent shape. I am a Chaco fan for life!
Love Chaco! Love this style! Although, I do agree with previous reviewers that they do run a little large.
I have never written a shoe review before. Just didn't want to take the time. But want to regarding Chacos. What a great shoe. I have discovered after having some major back spasms, that I cannot wear really flat sandals nor high heels as they both cause back spasms. So I looked at shoes, reviews, trying to find that "right sandal" to help this problem at the same time I needed a good fit for my long narrow foot. I wear an 11 Slim in a ladies shoe. I have since purchased two pair of Chacos and will probably get a 3rd. Expensive in one way...but so worth it! The support is like no other shoe I've ever worn, as far as a sandal goes. I purchased this style as your foot stays totally planted no matter where you are walking. I can be out on my hilly yard working and have no problems with my back afterwards, I can vacuum and have no problems with my back. I can wash them off in the sink or with the hose, let them dry (which doesn't take long!) and then wear them to work with capris or a short casual skirt or out and about with shorts. They feel heavenly on my feet. As far as adjusting...just work at it until you get it right. Once you do, then you don't have to adjust again! There are plenty of you tube videos out there to walk you through the adjustment process that first time. It took me a few times but then I got it! Just watch the videos! These are worth every penny!
The Chacos I ordered were exactly what I pictured them to be from the image on the Zappos online catalog! Perfect size and fit! Great timing for the shipping -- I would definitely order again!

I love my Chacos! I've been wearing them nonstop since I got them, even in the rain and on the beach and they have not failed me. The color looks exactly like it does in the picture, and they are so comfortable! I have flat feet so the arch support is great. Would totally recommend if you walk a lot during the summer!
I've been wearing Chacos for over ten years -- some loved, some eh. So far, these are in the loved pile. The orange is much subtler than the pictures -- the video is much more color-accurate. Love the way they look and wear. I'm pretty standard size 8 and they may be a bit long -- I'm not sure if a 7 would have worked, but the straps are still just fine to keep the on tight - but if you're in between sizes, go with the smaller. Definitely recommend.
I love when I find a comfortable shoe that doesn't look like a "comfort shoe." And I'm not a big fan of how athletic sandals typically look, so these were a perfect find for me. These sandals are so cute and stylish, I've gotten multiple compliments on them. But better yet is that I could walk for miles in them and my feet feel great.

I recently bought my second pair of Chaco Z/1@ Vibram@Unsweep - SKU 7222236. These are the most comfortable sandals I've ever worn for everyday and are pretty enough for I've recently bought my second pair of Chaco sandals. They are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn & pretty enough for church on Sunday.
I wore these around Disneyland for 14 hours, so if they remain comfy after that, I can't think of a much better test. They are passably cute, although they do have a bit of a "rugged" look to them. They only strange thing I can say is that once it got hot out (it was above 90 that day), the soles did heat up, and the texture on them became slightly uncomfortable. Maybe I just need to get used to them. Fit-wise they felt true to size, and the adjustable straps, once you figure them out, make them really customizable. I felt the arch was pretty narrow, though. Overall a great walking sandal!
I bought my old pair of Chacos in 2004. After nine years of constant summer use (daily dog walking, hiking, everyday use, etc) the soles are finally becoming uneven. I bought these Chacos in the green 'crop circles' color and love them! Color is great. Rubber portion isn't quite brown and isn't quite black, so I feel like it's great for wearing with black or brown. They look great with shorts, casual skirts, and even maxi skirts. I have 'high maintenance' feet and almost always get blisters the first time I wear shoes, but these worked from the start. I wear a 7.5 in 80% of shoes, occasionally I'll have to get flats in a 7. The 7 in Chacos works for me. 8s are too big and the arch doesn't seem to hit correctly. Overall, Chacos are, by far, my favorite brand of shoes!
Fantastic sandals! I have wanted a good hiking sandal for a while now and was psyched when my boyfriend surprised me with these. We broke them in with a fairly challenging approximately 7 mile hike and no blisters! I can't remember the last time I got a new pair of shoes that required so little breaking in! Especially on a vigorous hike! Psyched to do much more hiking with these (and they're pretty darn cute too)!
I wanted these shoes to work. They really are a nice looking shoe. But like some other reviewers pointed out, the straps are way too long. Unless you have a fat or swollen foot, they will run loose with no way to adjust. Also the foot bed isn't firm like my old pair of chaos.. It feels like there isn't much between my foot and the ground. I am looking for some sturdier but yet not too clunky.. I like the chaco brand so will try one of thier other styles.
These are great flips...lots of support...toe piece doesn't hurt between your toes...seem to run a little narrow, so are great for narrow feet. Cute flowers on the straps. These are my fourth pair of Chacos. I love them!
I really liked the look of these sandals and the promise of a good arch support but this shoe did not deliver. I wear a med width and these shoes are very narrow. The arch support felt like it was resting in the bottom middle of my foot rather than at the arch. The straps are very tight even on a loose setting. The length was fine but because the straps are tight the shoes would push my foot further back toward the heel when I walked. They were very uncomfortable and not practical at all. Chacos came recommended to me by a friend for their support but I was very disappointed.
In my search for a walking sandal that would work with high arches and a pronounced bunion on the right foot, I decided to try the Chaco after reading so many rave reviews. I was even looking for reviews by people saying they had foot problems, specifically bunions. I decided to try the zx/1 as one reviewer specifically said that the double straps worked with her bunion. Not so with my moderately severe bunion. The arch support is terrific, but the front strap (and there are not that many straps to adjust) is anterior to the bunion, and to get it to fit well, it pulls the great toe medially, very bad for any bunion. So, I've had to return it. Thanks, Zappos, for your understanding about returns.
