These are a great pair of work boots. Being on my feet most of the day walking the job site, I needed a pair of comfortable steel toe work boots. They fit the bill. They are not only comfortable, they look good and fit true to size. If these ever wear out I'll be buying another pair.

Good safety shoe - Overall very good, I wear it all day at work, and it's a great alternative to cumbersome steel toe boots. One drawback: the footbed has a 'saggy' feel to it, so it may lack in comfort for those with high arches.

Excellent boot! Very comfortable. I am a FEDEX driver and am in and out of a truck for 8 to 10 hrs a day. I've been wearing these boots for years and they are the best. I even wear them as my everyday shoe. I have tried several other brands at different price points. These are definitely the best.

Great boots! Very comfortable and (haven’t tried yet, but) would be an awesome all-day boot. Fit is good, runs just a tad bit large. I normally wear a 10 1/2, but could’ve gone w/ a 10 and would’ve been good, too. Looks are just what I wanted, too, not "crazy" looking, yet stylish enough. I use these when riding my 08 Kawasaki Mean Streak and they work fine. Shifting is good, though they do stick to the pegs a little, but should’ve expected that w/ the type of outsole. At least I know I’ll have good traction when I put my feet down. Highly recommend!

The Best - My husband's boots take a beating and these are the best I have found so far. He works outside and they stand up to all weather. His feet are in the water quite often and they still hold up. I have ordered them for many years and hope Colt continues to make them for many more.

Boot Review - Husband has been wearing the boot for approximately 2 weeks now. Works in construction with a lot of walking and boot is uncomfortable due to stiffness of boot. Feet are very sore.

Pleased with the Caterpillar Tectonic - The shoes are still pretty new, so I'm still breaking them in, but they're exactly what I wanted. They seem to be very durable, but they're also comfortable. They're easily worth the price, and certainly more so than similar shoes that cost $200.

Caterpillar Headway - Comfortable - The shoe so far is extremely comfortable. So much so that twice I forgot to change back to my regular sneakers before going home. They are also very, very light. My feet usually ache when I wear boots or heavy shoes - not with these. One day I walked a total of 5 miles with them and my feet felt fine. So far the best safety shoe I've worn - highly recommend.

Too early to tell - I think these are a great pair of boots, bottom line. Downsides include the tying up to the top. It's not really easy to do with the teeth on the boot. Upsides: They are light and comfortable. I do love them. I am a pilot and my wear on the back heel is something I am concerned about b/c it seems to wear fast, but maybe normal. Do order ONE SIZE SMALLER than normal. They run large.

Fashionable work boot - These boots are great. There is a little touch of athletic shoe on the heel, which seems kind of out of place, but otherwise they are good. These boots are warm...feet get a little hot when it's hot outside.

Great Shoe! Out of the box this work shoe was a great fit and feel. The tongue was uncomfortable at first but after about 1/2 a day it was broken in. The all day comfort of these shoes is great also; I'm not so fatigued at the end of the day. Would definitely purchase again!

I bought these for an engineer friend on a commercial fishing boat in the Bering Sea. He loves them and was very specific on what type of boot he wanted. They work perfect for the conditions he works in.

Tough break-in period - Great looking, strong boot. I wore them every other day at work for 8hrs. for the last 2 weeks and they are still quite stiff. Most other $100+ brands I’ve had, felt like "MY BOOTS" ("these boots were made for me") in a couple of days.

Perfect for work - I work for a railroad and I use these boots for my dress uniform for passenger service. They are very light, not as heavy as most big workboots are. They are easy to lace up and the laces don't come undone. My boss has commented that they are perfect for passenger service.

Caterpiller Alaska FX Steel - This is the best work boot I ever owned. They are very comfortable and rugged. Although after reading my other reviews I went on the advice of others and ordered a half size smaller then regular shoe and they fit perfect. A bit clunky at first, however after a couple of wears you easily adjust.

A great work boot - I work outside and I'm on my feet 5-6 hours a day. With my older boots, my feet were always sore and tired at the end of the day, but these boots solved that problem...and without the need to add insoles.

Just what I needed - I needed a new pair of boots and had bought CAT boots a couple of years earlier. They run a half size big, but break in quickly in about two weeks. These boots are the most comfortable I've owned in years and hold up to the claim of being waterproof (at least to the laces). When they wear out I will most likely order the same pair.

Buy these shoes! I've worn Caterpillar's Pursuit Steel Toe shoes for years now. They're outstanding. I promise you, they're as comfortable as any men's walking shoe; plus, you won't even notice the steel toe. Incidentally, don't bother looking for a better price elsewhere; Zappos beats them all!
