Overall:

I purchased these boots about a month ago. I have worn only these since then. I have VERY large and VERY wide feet. The D was too narrow, so I returned for the EEE and they are great! I work in the Oil and gas industry and they stand up to anything I want them to do, be it walk, run, climb, These boots will do it all!

These shoes look great and are very light. However they fit a little wide and are quite stiff. I\'ve had them for three weeks and they\'re just now slowly breaking in.

I have been wearing these boots since I got them about 6 weeks ago. I work 12 hour shifts on painted concrete floors, with oil on top.These boots have great traction, and are pretty comfortable.

Overall:

These boots were somewhat stiff and uncomfortable during the first couple wears. However, after broken in they are perfect for my job and ideal during snowy/slushy winter months. They fit well and are very durable. Highly recommended.

I bought these boots for my son, who needed boots for his auto mechanics class. They were required. I needed them fast, I am disabled, it is hard to shop. Zappos had what we needed, Chris [my son] loves them. He said they are comfortable, and look great. His teacher said Caterpillar is a good safe shoe.

Excellent Steel toe boot. Very comfortable and wide (know your foot width) with good padding and support. Size is slightly larger than the other boots I own. I wear the CAT Steel toe tennis shoes and these are very similar in terms of fit and comfort. They are toasty warm and they look great, too.

The only complaint I have about these otherwise excellent boots is that the tongue on one of the boots seems to be defective (it tilts toward the outside of the boot instead of running straight up and down); this resulted in uncomfortable wear for the first week or so until the boot was broken in. Otherwise a nice steel toe for daily wear.

Breaking in just fine! I would buy these boots again, and I haven't been able to say that about the last 5-pairs of work boots I've abused. They run a bit big for a 10.5, but are breaking in just fine. As comfortable as the Dr. Martens and seem to be a lot tougher also. Finally a good looking, comfortable, rugged steel toe boot!

Wear them daily for work and they\'ve been great! Security of a steel toed boot without the bulky feel. Especially great in the summer when working outside. Allows me to wear shorts and be comfortable. They look great too!

Excellent comfort in a work boot. I work as an auto mechanic on concrete all day and comfort has been one of the best of any boot I have ever worn. Surprisingly light for a steel toe boot. Disappointed in lack of traction on oily or wet indoor concrete surfaces.

I work in Nigeria, Africa on a production platform. I would recommend these boots to everyone. They are durable, no break-in, comfortable, and non-skid. I have tried Redwings, Doc Martens, but these by far are the best. The sole really is durable; we walk on steel grating most of the day and its been four months now and no wear is noticed. Also any oil on deck, these boots are non-skid. This boot rocks! What is advertised, they back up. An excellent work boot. I'll buy them again.

Finding a good motorcycle boot is difficult when you don't want black leather. I saw this on the wall at the store, though, and immediately knew that it was what I had been looking for. It's one hell of a tough boot and is surprisingly easy to wear. With some insoles, these are killer and feel great both on the bike and around town (though without the insoles they are still comfortable). Before, my hole-ridden cowboy boots left my feet cold and wet when I hit bad weather on a long ride. Now, my feet are warm and cozy the whole way. I can't imagine buying a boot from any other company.

The boots are very comfortable and took no time at all to break them in. They have good support and are not heavy so you don't get fatigued.

These are the most durable and comfortable shoes I have ever worn. If it is true that Zappos is going to discontinue them, it will be a huge mistake. My preference is the Caterpillar without the steel toes, but I don't see that one listed anymore.

Best work shoes. These shoes are awesome. Everybody wonders how a sporty looking shoe has an steel toe. My job is to start up new machinery, so I'm almost all day standing. With these CATs, there is no rush to take shoes off anymore when I get home. Thumbs up for these shoes. Be careful when ordering! They come a little bigger than the size shown.

I use these shoes for every type of outdoor work and they are very comfortable. I like the style because they do bot go over the ankle. And the steel toes are a great safety item. The soles have great grip.

Probably one of the best pairs of boots I've ever owned! Extremely comfortable, safe, feet have yet to get wet. With jeans you can actually wear them as casual/dress boots. Bravo Cat!

I found these boots to be moderately durable. The tread on the bottom didn't seem to last too long, but that may be because I walk several miles a day as part of my job. The boots took about two weeks of constant wear to finally break in, but even after that I felt that the insoles never took on the shape of my foot. Uncomfortable lumps caused pain on the bottom of my feet. Overall, you get what you pay for: these boots do a good job at protecting your feet, but at the expense of comfort.

Incredible boot - I\'ve owned my pair (plain toe, honey color) for almost four years now. Took just a few days to break in, and they\'re really, really comfortable, stylish, and tough! I\'m now a college kid, turning eighteen this year, and I can say that Caterpillar is really good at resisting the abuse a teenage boy can inflict on it. Even though it\'s not labeled as waterproof, numerous times has it encountered heavy rains, and nothing\'s happened to it except for a change in color for about an hour or so. And, like I said, it\'s really tough too. I once climbed Mt. Pinatubo in these and of all of us, only I had my shoes still intact in the end. In addition to that, it\'s really stylish, too. Works well with blue, khaki, or black jeans, and I dance in these! I\'m sure these will last still much longer. Thank you so much Caterpillar.

Not Sure what this sock liner option was about, but the boot is wonderful. Well made, rugged and ready to handle the roughness I will give it. It\'s a little stiff and requires breakin, but I am old school and like a boot like that. I also like a boot I can waterproof myself. It has a great sole for good traction. I would buy it again.

So far so great. I loved the boots right out of the box. They are comfortable and seem of very high quality. The boot feels rugged, but flexible. They are stylish and the sole is very aggressive. I bought them for an everyday boot. I live in the Black Hills of SD, which is very rural, forested, rocky terrain. I have very nice hiking boots, but these are for just every day, in and out of the pickup, climbing up hills and hiking with the dogs kind of boot, although I am sure they would do whatever I asked of them. I would buy these again no problem.
