Overall:

I am a Pedorthist so I fit, order, and modify shoes by the thousands for my patients. Needless to say I was wary of ordering online. Well I did and Zappos shipped within a day and 5 days later I was wearing these awesome boots here on my horse farm. These boots are great for the money, better than my 300.00 Mephisto boots that the sole cracked on. They run a smidgen roomy, which I prefer. Keep up the good work guys. I have never felt compelled to post a review even after buying most things, even cars, online. Thanks again.

I've had these boots for one week and I am completely satisfied. I didn't have any break in period. They were very comfortable from the first time I put them on. I think they are a true fit as far as size and have gotten plenty of positive comments for being made in the USA. They are also union made which works well for me.

Very nice, very comfortable.I'm writing this just after receiving them, so I can't testify about longevity, but these boots are extremely comfortable. The leather is soft, thick and requires only a little break in. Best of all they are generously padded, even if you remove the insoles for orthotics like I have to do. Finally they are made right here in the USA, not overseas.They do run narrow. You might want to consider ordering a wider size than normal. They are also heavily oiled so I wouldn't wear them with nice pants right away (but they're work boots so why would you?)

All experiences with Zappos have been great. I recently bought a pair of size 15 Carolina Domestic 6" Plain Toe STEEL in Dec of 08. The most expensive boots I have ever purchased. I was excited when I received them, but soon after things were going bad. They were so oily they stained all my socks. A month or so after, using them the inner sole pad separated from the boot and other compliant is leather stretches too much offering no support. Will never buy Carolina brand again based on this pricey experience. Very disappointed.

Great boots - This is an excellent pair of boots. I wear em everyday. In my line of work my boots usually last 3 months or less. Had these for 6 and still looking good. Definitely recommend these boots. They broke in great and compared to my Hoffmans took no time at all.

Great pair of work boots!!!These Carolina loggers fit and felt really well right out of the box. Soft oil tanned uppers didn't need any break in at all. I got mine in the wide size because I like to wear work boots with a heavy pair of padded socks and these fit just fine. I think this is a great pair of boots at a fair price, delivered with really exceptional service. What can I say... Zappos and Carolina really delivered the goods on this one. Thanks.

Didn't fit correctly - I have ordered 4E shoes for my husband before, but this particular brand was still too narrow. Otherwise, these are beautiful boots and seem extraordinarily well-made.

The BEST shoe ever! I ordered several pairs of Oxfords from Zappos, for work as a teacher with school uniforms. This one is by far the best! Yes, it looks like an industrial work shoe, but will look great with khakis or even dress jeans. But the best part is that it is totally supporting, and feels great on my 7B foot! I'm so happy with this shoe. I'm age 57 and have broken a couple of bones in my feet over the years. My doctor told me I needed lace-up supportive shoes, and this is the best I've found.

Parks and recreation worker - No break in period, good supportive fit. The heavily oiled leather makes these super comfortable outta the box. I've been wearing these everyday for the last month for at least 10 hours a day+ Whether I'm day hiking or working they're pretty much a do-anything boot for me.

Comfortable boot in big sizes!This is my son's second pair of Carolina boots; he is very limited in what is available in his size, so when we found these it was wonderful! He says they are very comfortable, the fit is true to size, and the leather seems to hold up well (he wears out the cushioning before he wears out the leather...). Thankfully, Zappos carries this larger size and the delivery is crazy-fast!
