I bought these shoes for my daughter and she loves them! Not only were they in her size (she does have big feet), but they were/are very comfortable. Thanks!

I liked these shoes but I also own the t-strap capezio and think the t-strap looks like it is better constructed. I also think the t-strap fits better. Regardless both shoes are very comfortable.

Cheap Dance Shoe For A Cheap Price - I was pretty disappointed when I pulled these clunky heels out of their box. There were threads fraying around foot opening and on the strap. They looked and smelled cheap and all of the dancers I put them on mentioned how uncomfortable they were. I will definitely stick to the Capezio Footlight.

Good all around - Heels a bit high for my physical therapists tastes, but it's pretty comfortable if you're not on it all day. Happy overall.

Put a sparkle in your step - We purchased these shoes for our daughter. She needed them for a summer theater group. I was nervous ordering shoes online, but was thankful to have input from previous buyers. These shoes are working out great and we would highly recommend them.

Additional Brand Information

Salvatore Capezio was born in 1871 in Muro Lucano, Italy. Uninterested in following in his father’s footsteps as a construction engineer, he became an artist of his own right, a cobbler. In 1887, at the age of 17, he opened his shop on Broadway and 39th Street, diagonally across from the old Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. Soon, the shop became a meeting place for dancers who would stop by to discuss their needs and to get a pair of his shoes. As Capezio’s popularity grew, dancers from around the world made it a point to visit him and purchase his shoes.

The innovation of the products that Salvatore Capezio created and the camaraderie he shared with the dancers molded the direction that his company would follow. In this image, the Capezio brand was established to promote and recognize ongoing achievements and participation in dance.

Capezio products remain in the forefront in quality and in technological advances with innovations like the split-sole, the stretch-insert, the Dansneaker® and the Tapsneaker. Capezio believes that their success is dependent upon the individual commitment of each customer to continually set new standards of creativity and performance, while preserving a reputation for dependability and distinction. Capezio pledges their support and dedication to the advancement of dance, theater and recreation in communities worldwide.

Pageant Ready - I used these shoes for the production numbers we performed at Miss Michigan Outstanding Teen Pageant this past week. I enjoyed them and they were easy to walk and dance in. I would recommend these shoes if you need a pair of black heels and your feet are too small to wear normal heels like me.

Cindy L. I've recently purchased this stylish tap shoe and am extremely happy. Very comfortable and easy to tap in. I generally wear a size 8 1/2, but ordered a size 9 medium and it fits perfect. At 53 years old and experiencing tap dancing lessons at my local YMCA, I'm the envy of the class with these shoes!

GORGEOUS! A beautiful character shoe! Very pricey, but worth it. I use it as a tap shoe. Hard leather sole is very sturdy, but flexible enough. Heel height is perfect-sexy but not too high to dance. High quality leather broke in very fast, and bound edges didn't rub. I put in gel-pads for shock absorption at the ball of the foot. I recommend for serious dancers!

Just a few minor adjustments... I am a folk dancer, so I don't get to dance as often as I like...so I will keep the size I ordered and add a cushioned dress insole with a padded heel to give some extra support in the arch & move my foot slightly further up and out of the shoe. This will alleviate any problems on the back of the heel and will give more toe room. Definitely order a 1/2 size larger than street and if you are a med width order wide. The buckle is gold, which looks silver in the pic...I am going to paint mine silver by taping off the strap. The overall look of the shoe is cute and with the adjustments are very comfortable. From other photos I noticed the strap looks wider from the instep tapered out, this is just an illusion, as it is a standard Capezio strap. Btw, the illusory tapered strap was one big reason I bought this shoe! But they look great on the leg anyway!

Cute but narrow - Of all the styles of character shoes, I found these the most flattering. I ordered a wide width but they were a bit tight across the top of the foot. I was able to stretch them out by wearing thick socks with them for awhile. The back part rubs my ankle a bit, but overall they are pretty comfortable.

NOT a wide width - There is no way this is a true wide width shoe. It is no wider than any regular width you'd buy off the rack.

Excellent - Everything was wonderful except the buckle is gold and you can't really tell that from the picture.

These shoes are very uncomfortable. The lack of arch support with this size heel on a dance shoe is criminal. They are cute, and I do wear them from time to time but they are too uncomfortable to dance in. Such a disappointment for Capezio shoes.

Perfect for dance - These are so comfortable you almost (almost) forget they're on your feet. I've stood/danced/done blocking in these in rehearsals for over 3 hours and still been comfortable. I ordered them in my regular size (7 m) and they fit just fine. THANKS ZAPPOS!

From A. Mettler with tiny feet - I love this shoe. I have small & narrow feet and have a very had time finding comfortable shoes. I wear a size 4.5. I would highly recommend this style...

They look great, but, as I have a wider foot due to no arch, they were way too narrow for me (this was the Wide Width).

Looks good, but... Definitely order longer and wider! NOTE: The height of the shoe in the back is too high and rubs the back of my ankle almost to the point of a blister. Shoe is too narrow to wear my arch supports in them.

I ordered a 5 wide but it's still too tight and it causes pain on the balls of my feet. Maybe if I ordered a half-full size larger, it would be comfortable. I'll try ordering one of those sizes in beige.

Perfect shoe, but I ordered wide width - The shoe is very comfortable, and fits better with width. I don't usually take wide but after reading customer reviews decided to order a hlaf size larger and wider. The shoe fits perfectly.
