CamelBak Reviews
I take long snowshoe treks on Mt Washington. This pack is great. Holds all my gear and gives easy access to any of it via the many access points. All sorts of nooks and crannies for smaller stuff. Weight distribution is great and prevent fatigue. The hydration tube stayed thawed during a 4 hour trek in 10-20 degree weather. Multitude of straps can be used for holding poles, shoes, camera tripod, etc. Overall exceptionally pleased with the quality and functionality.

Seriously, this water bottle is amazing! I actually bought it for my boss for Christmas and he uses it every day! Talk about the best gift ever, he tells me how amazing it is! Additionally, when I ordered I mistakenly left my apartment number off of my address! I contacted Zappos the day it was supposed to be delivered and they contacted UPS in like a minute and I had it the next day! All over great experience!
After spending years hiking with backpacks and small messenger bags, I found this. It's really cute, with plenty of room for the items I typically take with me without being cumbersome like my previous bags. The design of the bat-wing bladder isn't perfect, so sucking the last drops out of it can be a bit difficult, but it's still much better than lugging water bottles along! I'm 5'5, and the length of the drinking tube is just fine for me. My only complaint: it's obviously designed for the sleek and slim. The waist belt does not expand very far (probably to keep the straps from flapping around on the skinny people!). I didn't measure it, but I'd guess it wouldn't comfortably fit anyone beyond a 36 inch waist and it certainly wouldn't fit around the hips of most women I know!
Had a lot of room for personal items. Although, the top part of the pack pulls away from the body almost turning, even when straps are tight. The flow of the water was poor. Took a lot of effort for a few sips of water. Was not impressed with this product, especially for the price.

The perfect size for our kids. We bought these for our trip to Disney World and the kids loved them. They held a perfect amount of fluid for the day and were not too heavy. The pocket left room for a folding poncho and a snack. We will get a lot of use from these during our summer hikes next year!

It keeps drinks much colder than a regular water bottle and I love how it’s squeezable.

This is a great bottle. It keeps beverages cool for hours without having sweat drip down the sides, washes up nicely, and has a comfortable grip. We have purchased six bottles because of the popularity in our house.

Love this! I am training for a 60 mile walk and this is perfect for training walks. Provides enough to drink and a space for my cell phone and key and pedometer. I even bought one for my walking partner.

The CamelBak Stainless bottle is insulated, great for keeping a cold drinks cold all day. Truly not too heavy for the reward on a hot day.

Well designed and made product. You're not going to get a Thermos-bottle level of insulation here, but the double wall construction is pretty effective. Put at least as much ice as water in it in the morning if you want to use is through the day. This is a tall bottle so, if you have a small bicycle frame, make sure it clears the bottom of your top tube if you want to mount it along your seat tube.
This is a great water bottle for bike riding! No spills and I can take a drink on long rides with a quick squeeze.
I am new at using this. It is comfortable for me resting at my hip bone. I am using this for running. I don't fill it up the whole way, don't need to so why carry the extra weight, right? No instructions on how to clean, frustrating. Friend told me you can buy a brush to clean/dry out the tubing. I use warm soapy water to wash and clean tube, using gravity to drain tube while squeezing the mouth piece then rinse with warm water same technique. Prop open with a wooden spoon.

Keeps liquids colder longer than any other bottle I've ever owned, and sweats little to not at all. Worth every penny. I will be buying more for the rest of the family.
The pack is very well done overall. Comfortable to wear for long journeys. The new reservoir is a nice upgrade from the previous version; easier to open, easier to clean. The only real issue I have had so far is that some of the straps self-loosen when being clipped. Not a terrible problem. If it helps give you an idea of what you can carry, on our last "wilderness" hike, I was able to cram 12x40 binoculars, two spare water bottles, a pair of shoes, 8x20 folding binoculars, toilet paper, ultra zoom P&S camera, small frame pistol (due to mountain lion warnings) 4 energy bars, 2 shot bloks, hand cleaner, lip balm, tissues, and GPS unit. I always prefer to over-prepare and this pack indulges me well enough.
Quality bag for sure. I have an older Day Star and I like this updated version. A little bigger. Still great quality and fits so cute. I got the pinkish color and it looks great!
This is my fourth Camelbak and by far the best to date. I like the rain guard and it came in handy at Disneyland Splash mountain. Overall a great bag for biking, hiking, and family trips.
I bought last year's model and this bag rocks. Plenty of space to store stuff for a full day mountain bike trip but not so bulky that it takes the fun out of it. The NVIS system does keep your back drier, but don't expect it to perform miracles while exerting yourself on a hot day, and understand that there is minimum cooling tech used on the straps. You'll be surprised by how small this pack looks in person if you are only used to book bags. I use the bag for walking around touristy type stuff too. The reservoir holds cold water for a pretty long time and doesn't taste like plastic. The pack is lightweight and constructed solid. Last year's MP3 holder pocket will just barely fit newer (bloated) smartphones like the Thunderbolt.

Great for taking to a game instead of disposable water bottle; insulation keeps drinks colder longer.
