These shoes basically require break-in. Once I wore them around town and did a fair bit of city walking over a couple of days in them, they fit like a glove. Initially I was a little concerned because I thought they were too narrow and stiff and might even cut into my ankle a bit. I was wrong - they never gave me blisters or did any injury to my foot. In the end, I'm glad I purchased these. They look slick and almost like a boot at first glance. I wear them with bright colored sock since the shoe color itself is neutral. Only like you match your shoes to your belt, remember to match your socks to your shirt!

I tried these shoes and they were horrible. The 11.5 was too small and the 12 was too big. I just could not seem to get the right fit and they have horrible support. I am returning them for something else, possibly a John Varvatos.

These are the best shoes I've ever owned. Period. I liked them so much I purchased the brown version and put rubber taps on each to extend their life. I've had them a few years now and they are still beautiful. They hold up and the leather (as leather does) feels softer and nicer with age. Worth the investment.

I buy handmade Italian leather shoes because I'm frugal. I expect them to fit well, be very comfortable, be repairable, last a long time, and look classic. These shoes do well regarding comfort and classic look. I think they will be repairable. They have leather soles and separate heels. My concern with the heel is that it is partly integrated with the sole. And it doesn't appear to be very rugged. Time will tell.

I love these and get compliments every time I wear them. However, they are shaped a bit differently from the other Bruno Magli boots and shoes I own. They seem to be longer and more narrow than normal and it almost seems they run 1/2 size larger than normal. They are very light and comfortable and can be worn all day with no problem.

I bought these beautiful tan nubuck shoes for my husband hoping he'd like them. Well, mission accomplished, he loves them! They arrived early (Zappos never disappoints with their shipping) and he was going to a business meeting and was going to wear his old brown shoes. These were right on the money! The color is simply gorgeous and rich looking and not to mention comfortable. Gentlemen, these shoes are a must for any sophisticated wardrobe.

Bought these for my husband. He owns the "raging" and loves them! I bought these in the same size however, in the Micolino his toes hit the front of the shoe and the shoe is tight. He wears loafers, doesn't like metal embellishments, so I have a tough time as I don't care for the Penny loafer look. Disappointed these didn't work, will keep searching!

Comfortable shoe, but low quality. Insole de-laminates and creeps forward in the shoe throughout the day after only a couple of months of wear. No way this is a cost of shoe.

I haven't had them long, so I can't speak to durability, but the comfort level is superb. As others have written, these shoes have the feel of comfortable running shoes, but can be worn to all but formal occasions. I've bought two pairs as these shoes are by far my favorites to wear to work.

My feet size is 8.5US, so I ordered 41.5EU as it is shown. I realized that these shoes run bit larger than I expected (I had to order 41).

I like the contrast of the hardcore working boot style and the Italian design/construction. The lower leather is smooth/shiny and the upper is very soft with lots of grain. The upper leather almost feels like lamb - very similar to the leathers used in a Remy coat. You have to love the "Frye Brown" contrasts in the heel and sole construction. It really sets off the boot. Although the Palatino looks like it can kick down a wall doing demo work, and it feels very solid yet it doesn't feel clunky. The heels and soles have a very deep waffle design - did not skip on the rubber. If you would wear these in snow, I don't imagine you would loose any traction. The Palatino has a flex and weight that gives them a very comfortable feel for daily wear. The detail is amazing. The stitching and assembly are perfect. The laces are flat giving a unique look. Yes, these are pricey compared to your average working boot, but you won't see them on everyone so they will be unique. They do draw comments so be prepared.

My husband had been looking for a boot for quite some time, and after reading other reviews on this one, I bought a pair for him. He LOVES them and said they're really comfortable. They're really well-made, not slick on the sole, soft and really good-looking under dress pants as well as jeans.

This shoe is very comfortable, particularly for those with toe irregularities. It looks good with casual as well as business wear. Comfortable from first wearing and over the past 2 months.

These shoes, though comfortable, started changing color for no apparent reason after wearing them 4 or 5 times. They peeled off! Big disappointment!

Beautiful shoe. Almost no break in time. A classic shape, really nice toe box.

Typically wear a 14/15 and found this shoe does run long about a size. It's also narrow. The leather is gorgeous and the shoe is comfortable and light to wear. It's really a classic shoe, nothing special other then the leather quality.

For many men, shopping for shoes is a dirty deed. The same goes for my sneaker loving husband. He loves these Bruno Maglis. He wears them as both casual and dress shoes. They are as comfortable as slippers. He wore these until they threadbare and then he taped them back together. I got him a new pair.

Ignore comments that recommend ordering down one size, I ordered down 1/2 size and it was way too tight - I would say these shoes run true to size. Looks like a solid shoe.

This is my fourth pair of Bruno Magli Raging (2 in black, 2 in brown). I find these shoes to be incredibly versatile, comfortable, well-constructed and beautiful. Each pair I've owned has been excellent and consistent in form and function. The first 2 pairs started showing signs of age after a couple years, mainly because I wear them so often, so they have been designated for more casual use and the replacements now get the dressier assignments. I feel certain I've bought fewer shoes overall since finding these. They are not cheap, but for me they are nearly perfect.

This is the best pair of shoes I've had the pleasure of owning. Comfortable, look great, etc. Leather is glove soft and wears easily, which is why they only get four stars. Clean, nice, long lasting shoes. Don't hesitate on them. If you live in DC or New York, this aren't frilly enough for the most formal events. Anywhere else, no worries.

Over the years I have ordered many different styles of Brunos thru Zappos and I always order them half size smaller to get a proper fit. Same was true with the Mianatos. These are the lightest shoes I've ever owned, probably due to the synthetic sole, but they are also among the most comfortable as well. They seriously feel like I'm walking around in slippers. Typical Magli good looks and top notch workmanship. Very happy with my purchase, Brunos have never disappointed.
