  • Brooks® introduced supportive technology to a minimalist running shoe design, creating the PureCadence®. Experience the rush as you electrify your senses.
  • Part of the PureProject™ Collection from Brooks.
  • Brooks developed five unique features called the Ideal Technologies (Nav Band, Toe Flex, BioMOGO DNA, Ideal Heel and Anatomical Last) that are featured in every PureProject shoe. Combined, these technologies are designed to promote an efficient, natural stride by encouraging a more forward foot strike, which places the runner over their center of gravity, helps align the body and reduces harmful stress.
  • Built for the mild over-pronator to moderate over-pronator looking to step into the minimalist category without sacrificing needed support.
  • Breathable air mesh upper.
  • Lightweight microfiber synthetic overlays provide structural support.
  • Wide Elastic Nav Band is locked into the lateral strike pod to ensure a secure, glove-like fit.
  • Reinforced heel counter helps keep the foot locked into place.
  • Lightly padded tongue and contoured heel cup for added comfort.
  • Lightweight foam insole offers light underfoot plush.
  • BioMoGo DNA is a blend of earth-friendly BioMoGo and responsive Brooks DNA, and has a gender-friendly cushioning design, making for a dynamic ride.
  • Internal PDRB® helps prevent overpronation.
  • Midsole Offset: 4mm.
  • Toe Flex - The split-toe feature augments forefoot flexibility and promotes the big toe to engage the runner's natural stability and power during push-off.
  • Ideal Heel - The heel is slimmed down to encourage contact points to shift forward, aligning the joints and creating optimal energy return.
  • Built on an anatomical last, the shoe's shape contours to your foot, promoting support and a glove-like fit.

I LOVE these shoes! I am the type of person who buys running shoes far too frequently and before I really need to. However, I have never found "the perfect" shoe for me (side note: in the last year i've owned Vibrams, Asics, Nike, Reebok, Saucony and none of them were even close to the comfort and prettiness of Brooks). I have had 3 knee surgeries (im 25), I have moderately flat feet, and I over pronate. shoes are amazing to say the least. I will never buy another brand of athletic shoes. The inside fabric is a soft neoprene and I could wear them barefoot and not get a blister or feel uncomfortable. They offer pretty good arch support, and they definetely help me not to pronate. Usually shoes that help with these "ailments" are heavy, look like platform spice girl shoes, and are not cute. Brooks is a game changer. The colors are fun and I wear them even if I am not working out. I have the blue and green ones and they are beautiful! I wear a 9.5 in almost all shoes, with an occasional size 9 in flip flops. The 9.5 fit but I could tell that my toes would be jammed once I got going in a workout. I exchanged for a 10 and they fit perfectly!!! As a side note, I am NEvER a size 10 and I always get a 9.5 in shoes even when reviewers say "size up" or "size down." Listen to the reviews people and go up a half size. Even if your normal size is snug but livable, trust me, you will be happier going up half a size. These aren't like other shoes where going up half a size means they are Way too big; brooks does a gradual size increase so your shoes fit like a glove! Sorry for the novel, but I wish I had read a review with specifics when I was shoe shopping!

These shoes are awful. they run at least a size too small. Maybe I'm just not meant for minimalist footwear. Returning these and going back to my regular Brooks.

I love this shoe! I have been running in Newton's for 5 yrs. I am a midfoot runner with a fairly wide foot. This shoe has a nice, wide toebox where all toes can spread out. There is plenty of cushioning without being bulky or heavy. The band that runs around the arch helps keep the foot secure without being tight. You don't feel like your foot is moving around in the shoe. Plenty of room for orthotics. (I did remove the original shoe insert) I wear a 7.5 in a everyday shoe, an 8 in this shoe. Plenty of room without being too big. No slippage. If you want a lightweight running shoe that has support, and you are a midfoot striker. This is your shoe. Great colors. Oh, and you don't feel like you have to take them off after a long run. Your feet will not hurt. Order these, and you will not be disappointed.

I've logged about 400 miles in these Brooks and I have enjoyed (almost) every mile in them. I made the switch from the heavier stability shoe, Brooks Ravenna (also great), to this lighter and more attractive one. During the first few runs, I did feel a bit of achyness for a few minutes during my warm up, but in every case the slight pain would subside and then the shoes felt great. After about a week or two, my feet took to them and they've been very comfortable ever since. I've been doing long runs up to 13-14 miles in these and they've held up well. I'm looking forward to Zappos receiving the other color combinations of these shoes in the near future!

I love these shoes! I suffer from plantar fascia and this is the first pair of sneakers I have been able to wear without any pain! From the first time I wore them out of the box my feet felt great, that's saying a lot since I haven't been able to complete a class in about a month.

Probably the most comfortable shoe I've ever had on my feet! I've had (or have) almost every brand of running shoe and if I could score this 10 stars vs. just 5, I would. You instantly feel the comfort and your feet don't really need to adjust to being in new shoes (how you sometimes get that burning or uncomfortable feeling the first time you wear a pair of athletic shoes.) They fit true to size and to be honest...thought they were too expensive but bought them anyway...I'm so glad I did. Please believe me when I say they are worth the money...all other running shoes pale in comparison! Never wore anything like them before and I think you'll agree. Go ahead and take the plunge...your feet will thank-you! :)

I'd also recommend: Nike, Keen
