These shoes are very comfortable. The Zappos return policy and services are great. I highly recommend people, especially who have trouble finding shoes of odd sizes/widths, to try zappos.com web site. They will become a happy customer like me.

Great shoe! I have trouble finding narrow running shoes, I have tried NB, not for my feet. Asics, much better in the heel, but a little big in the shoe box. Now I have found the perfect shoe for my narrow feet. Brooks Defyance 2 has both the narrow heel and narrow toe box. Perfect fit!! I will definitely buy more!

Please ignore my star ratings since I was unable to get the right fit with these shoes. I was substituting my great Brooks Radius 7, and Brooks suggested considering this shoe (since the Radius have been discontinued). However, the regular width D was too tight (compared to the Radius), and the wide version EE was too wide. A good fit is critical for running, so unfortunately I was unable to replace my Brooks Radius 7 with these.

I am an overweight neutral runner--high arch. The Brooks Defyance are well-made shoes with great support. I have run in them several times with comfort. I did a 5K last weekend in them with no problems. I recommend them to others.

I bought these because I can’t find the old Defyance model. The Defyance 2 are just a bit less wide in the toe box and I ended up with bad blisters on my pinky toes. I had to stop running in them. They are much better looking than the old Defyance, but just the wrong fit now.
Solid neutral shoe -
I found that I have a neutral foot that doesn't require substantial arch support. For such feet, this is a good choice. I use it for routine casual walking (and the Defyance, very similar) for fast treadmill walking. Be sure to use the back lace holes to prevent rubbing at the heel.

Defyance Rocks -
Great shoe, relatively lightweight, good support while running; Zappos is the best for customer service and ease of doing business.
