Great for the 'larger' runner. I am 6'5", 220 pounds and these are the only running shoes I will use. They have enough cushion and stability to keep my knees from hurting (due to overpronation). I cannot recommend these shoes enough!

This shoe is great! Excellent support all around. Without a doubt, this is the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned. The first pair was slightly narrower than I was comfortable with, so I took advantage of the free return shipping and got the wider version. Zappos rocks!

This is an awesome and comfortable shoe, excellent cross trainer. Little heavy for running, but you will get used to the heaviness, as long as the shoes continues to be comfortable.

These are the fourth or fifth pair of Beasts I have run through. I know of no other style that can provide the support and comfort of this shoe. If you need help with over-pronation you can not go wrong with a Brooks Beast!

My husband loves these shoes - especially after his total hip replacement. However, finding a size 11, 4E width in area stores proved an exercise in futility. On Zappos.com, I discovered them in the right size, ordered them, and had them by the next day - which was a big rescue since that day was the day before Christmas Eve! He loves the brand so much, he has these Beasts in both blue and black now. He's a big-boned/well-muscled Viking kind of guy who is tough on clothes and shoes. Used to be he'd buy heavy clunkers of athletic shoes just to have something he could wear for over a month without them disintegrating. The Brooks Beast apparently can handle any beast on a long term basis, and they look sleek and sexy even in such a large size! They are incredibly lightweight. Perfect for any Sasquach to flit through the underbrush and elude the press. My husband now goes to the gym regularly to try to rehab that hip, and I believe these shoes contribute to his enjoyment now of what was a former dread.

I am in my 40s and was born without arches. I have found the Beast to be about the best sneakers to support over pronation. I have tried many over the years. These provide the most relief from ankle strain. Nothing will fix the foot deformity but these provide the best support I have found. This benefit is in how the sole of the shoe is built more than having an arch in the shoe itself.

I had reconstructive surgery on my left ankle in September 2010. I have not been able to find a shoe that worked since the surgery. These brooks are wide enough and have the right support to get me out running again!

The Beast is a terrific shoe for anyone with ankle stability and/or over pro-nation tendencies. My podiatrist recommended it and although it wasn't available in women's sizes, I just ordered a size smaller in men's. It has proven to be a wise purchase. I live in these shoes. The service from Zappos was quick, efficient and friendly, as always.

Okay, I have freaky feet. I wear a 12, 4E shoe. This is not a size most shoes are made in. The Beast is perfect for me as it is wide enough, and comfortable enough for me to walk around all day. I highly recommend these shoes, as they are also super comfortable. Thanks Zappos! I love these shoes so much, they are the only ones I have owned for the last few years. When one starts to fall apart, I order a new pair.

I ordered these for my teenage son. He's on his feet at work and his feet had been hurting. After a couple of days his feet with these, his feet did not hurt. He also preferred athletic-looking shoes like the Beast. A local shoe store had recommended these and only had a 10 in stock and so ordered a 10.5 for him, and they were too small. It takes them a week to get the next size in, so I ordered from Zappos, because they are so quick and because I love Zappos! It turns out size 12 was the correct size. We received the 11, 11.5, and 12 in a series of three shipments from Zappos in less time than the local store got a new shipment in (because of their efforts, we eventually did buy an extra pair from them). The Beast shoes are about a full size smaller than his other shoes.

Love these shoes. But I've always loved Brooks shoes. They are very supportive and well worth the money. I have been able to run many miles in Brooks shoes. The only downside is the break-in time for them to be truly comfortable with running more than a few miles.

The only shoe for me...period. As, I get older the worst my feet become. There are no words for these shoes. This is my second pair and I will only buy this brand and style.
