Overall:

The Capi shoes by Bostonian/Clarks are very stylish and one of the most comfortable dress shoes I have yet to own. However, like others have commented, they do make noise when you walk after a few months of wearing the shoes. I keep them looking good by moisturizing the leather. The newest edition to this type of shoe is the Clarks Un-Structured series. They are even more comfortable.

I have both the brown and black Bostonian Tuscana. I work in field sales for an industrial supply company in NYC, so I find myself at high value corporate locations as well as the trenches of construction sites. These shoes have plenty of old school cap toe oxford sophistication, as well as an athletic sole which gives miles of comfortable walking. I walk 18 holes every day in Manhattan, that's 7200 yards, or about 4 miles in these puppies. No problem. Required kit for urban assault.

Not very comfortable. Neither the description above nor the reviews on this page are clear that these shoes are made of patent leather. If you're not familiar with what that is, it's leather that is finished so it has a permanent glossy look to it. It makes caring for the shoe easy, but leaves a cheap and stiff feel to the shoe. These shoes look fine, and in fact I've gotten a few complements on them. The problem is that they're not breathable at all, and the heel and sole are unnecessarily loud when not walking on carpet. Also, they take a long time to break in.

Very comfortable shoes. I do a lot of walking for work and these offer good support for the entire foot. Nice room in the toe box, no heel slip and good arch support. Plus, there is some heel technology for added comfort. They look great with all kinds of clothes: khakis, dress pants or even a suit. Might even be able to pull them off with jeans.

It's like magic! All I do is virtually wave my wand, and abracadabra, my shoes are sitting on my doorstep! It's almost impossible for people who haven't had an experience with you to believe how scary good you are! I rave about you to everyone I know. Your generous free one day shipping is just unheard of. Other companies could really take some lessons from you. The shoes, as always, are just perfect. I have been truely impressed with the service at Zappos. This is the second time I\'ve bought shoes from them and the experience was great. I found the shoes that fit which was no mean feat. On initially ordering the wrong size they responded immediately by shipping the correct shoes and exchanging the other. There was no hassle at all. I\'d recommend them to my best friend.

Excellent shoe! The Bostonian brand is a sure bet and these shoes are exactly what you need with your dress outfit. Don't be deterred by the front design. I was a little apprehensive about it at first, but after seeing them in person, I had no more concerns. These shoes look very professional and stylish all at the same time. The quality of shoe you get for this price is a bargain!

I love these shoes, although at the beginning you have to wear them out for a bit to break them in.. (but I think that is with all new shoes..) I originally purchase my first Bostonian pair from JC Pennys for a higher price. Zappos has a great deal, I look forward to ordering another pair in the coming days. \r\nI like the fact that they are shipped almost immediately. I received mine in two days.. Great service, I would recommend using Zappos to my friends & family.\r\n

Just a note about my experience buying shoes from "Zappos". I spent several days going from one retail store to the other, searching for a pair of men's 11 1/2 brown slip-ons. An easy task, I thought. I discovered many stores do not carry my size, and those that do, did not have what I wanted. I took to the internet and discovered "Zappos". What great company! The selection was outstanding, size was not a problem, price was very competitive, and free shipping, too! My shoes arrived in only a couple of days, and I am extremely happy with them and the service from "Zappos". I will most definitely shop "Zappos" again.

Thanks to those who helped me on my last order from Zappos. First of all, I ordered the wrong shoes and size. Called and was sent a label to return them. Found the two new pair that I liked so well. They came, but unfortunately they too were the wrong size. I called and got the next smaller size, but they didn't have the black pair at that moment. Was told that they would alert me as soon as the black were available. Very next day received email that the black pair was there and would send them immediately. They were on my front door the next morning. What great service from Zappos. Will always be number one for me. Love the shoes I just received. Thanks so much.

I have Bostonian shoes and also experienced the squeaking. I rubbed in saddle soap a few times and let it set before wiping off. This stopped the squeaking.

Well, like the saying goes, let your fingers do the walking. That's how simple it was for me to shop at Zappos. I had at my finger tips the biggest selection of all styles of shoes. I was able to zoom in on what my pocket could afford and get a very good quality shoe with lots of class and style. At the same time I found out I could afford a second pair. What I like is the ability to return with no charge, that's service. I will certainly keep going back to Zappos site in the near future. I certainly have gotten lots of compliments on my shoes, but most of all I love them. Of course, I mention how easy it was to shop Zappos.

The product was shipped the same day, it shipped priority shipping (no charge for my particular order) and I received my order the very next day on both occasions! Great looking shoe, but... I bought a pair of Bostonian's Corton shoes four months ago because I loved the style. They still look and feel great, but I just had to replace the heels, because the rubber was so soft. Though not an expensive repair from a local shoe repair store, I think a pair of shoes should last more than four months even if worn heavily. The heels of other shoe brands have lasted as much as two years and have worn out at the same time as the soles given the same level of wear. The soles and uppers seem to be wearing much better, however. I hope these new heels last a bit longer than the originals.

The experience ordering the Bostonian Lakewood online with Zappos was a no brainer. The specialist was very professional and expedient. The shoes arrived the next day as advertised.The Bostonians are the correct size and are exactly as I expected. They wear nicely and I expect them to last longer than most loafers due to the excellent construction.

Called for these shoes one day and received them the next. Never have had better service. Husband loves the shoes. Will be purchasing another pair in another color shortly. He says once you find a comfortable pair of shoes, you buy them in every color available.

I had been shopping for a pair of dress loafers at a reasonable price, locally, and I couldn't find anything I liked. I decided to check out Zappos to see what they had to offer. I found the Bostonian Vespin design on your web site at the price point I was willing to pay. I have enjoyed wearing them. They are stylish and go very well with a suit or even jeans or chinos. I would recommend to anyone that checking out the shoes at the Zappos site is worth the while.

Shoes are a little narrow in fit. Have worn 3 times and still get blisters on both heels. Good looking traditional dress shoe but not comfortable. Second pair of Bostonian, first pair was uncomfortable.
