I purchased these shoes in the "Chocolate" color. The brown is a lovely deep brown shade; they are a true chocolate color. The shoes are extremely comfortable to wear and do indeed make your feet look smaller. They have good arch support and you can barely feel the heel, so while you get extra height, you don't feel as though you are wearing heels! Does it get any better than that? Plus, they are super stylish and sexy. The vintage style of these shoe makes them unique and so sophisticated. Get ready for lots of comments on them! Oh, and they look great with shirts, jeans, and trousers. Very versatile shoe. I should caution that the shoes run very small. I normally wear a 7.5 or an 8. I initially ordered an 8 but they were too small, so I had to exchange the shoes for an 8.5. Now they are perfect. I strongly recommend that you size up. Finally, if you haven't tried Zappos yet, you should. The customer service is unmatched and simply remarkable. I can't say enough good things about Zappos!

These shoes were adorable, but they run very small. I have 2 other pairs of Born shoes in a size 6.5. The Born Gellars ran so small that both the 6.5 and 7 were too small!

I wanted some "shoe-booties" that looked more like shoes than boots. These have a vintage look with the lace up and wedge heel. The heels are not high but have enough height to be flattering to the foot. I wore them all day Thanksgiving and went out to the movies later. I didn\'t take them off until about 11 pm that night and my feet were not sore. Best of all, they didn\'t even look worn! There were no scuffs or marks even on the sole. These shoes are very well made, unusual, and cute. The make your feet look smaller, too. I found that my normal size, 7 1/2 M was a perfect fit.

The Born Gellar is so stylish! Great with tights when you wear a skirt and even fabulous with pants! Get ready for tons of compliments and the comfort lasts all day! If you've never tried Born, this would be a great first pair!

Totally vintage chic! Order a half size up! I usually wear 7 or 7.5 and 8 fit me perfectly! It\'s a bit narrower than I imagined but I think after few wears it should loosen up. Great shoes!

I love the funky, vintage look of these shoes. The footbed of the shoe is padded, which is great for me as I have problems with the ball of my foot. Also with the laces, you can adjust to your foot. You won\'t be disappointed!

Runs small! At least in the upper range of sizes, I found that these shoes ran between 1/2 and 1 full size small. I typically wear either a 9 or 9 1/2. (I have the Born Kola low-boot from last year in a 9, which fits (with socks) with room to spare!) Based on reviews here, I ordered a 9 1/2. It was too small! I was worried about ordering a 10, because this typically means the shoe also gets wider, too wide for my slender-to-med-width feet. However, in this case (surprisingly!), the 10M was just right. So I would say this shoe runs slightly narrower than usual, but still in the medium range. As far as look, they're funky and 'steampunk,' which I love. The heel height is nice, not too high. And they have a nice amount of padding in the footbed. I got the brown ones (a rich, dark brown), but I may get the black as well.

Super cute shoe. Fits true to size. The toe box is roomy and not tight. I really love these shoes.

Very nice shoe. Mine are just a smidge too roomy so I plan to wear them with tights (Ooo, cable knit tights!) or put one of those foot pad things in it with hose. Unique without being strange.

I just want to say; if no one has tried Zappos yet, you're missing out on some lovely shoes and the prices are just great. You don't have to go to the malls, wait in line and keep looking and looking. By shopping here it is like going to 3 malls in less then a day. You even get free shipping and returns. What more can you ask for? And I bought these Born shoes, which are fabulous. I went up half a size and they fit wonderful. The leather is so soft, comfortable stylish, just perfect in every way. Zappos, you are the best. I called one day and the shoes were here the next. They're just incredible and the shoes are lovely. I got the chocolate and they are the best color ever, a true chocolate, which is what I wanted. I have a hard time finding a true very dark brown. They can go with so many different outfits, really the best. I can not say enough. I could go on and on, but I only get so much space. I ordered these in both brown and black because I couldn't decide which I liked best. Brown won out, but if I were a rich girl, I'd have kept the black ones as well. They are comfortable, though upon first wear my feet were swollen and they pinched across the toe. They're fine now. I still fit into 10M shoes even though my foot is slightly wider than average (but not wide enough for 10W), which is why I tend to go for "comfort brands." These don't disappoint. The heel height is perfect for hauling myself around campus quickly while slightly elongating my leg. The silhouette of the shoe is freaking fabulous and it truly is fashion-forward while drawing upon vintage inspiration.

I love these shoes! I wear them to work and am on my feet all day and they haven't hurt once! And they are very unique, lots of compliments.

The most comfortable shoes I ever bought. I bought much more expensive shoes than those (gentle soul) and I always got a blisters first days. But these shoes felt comfortable, like slippers from the first day. They also look very cute . I am very happy I found this shoes, because find nice looking and comfortable shoes for me is a big problem.

Overall I am pleased with these shoes. There is not as much padding as usual for the brand on the insoles, but loads of vintage style and charm. The most notable thing about this style is that they make your feet look 2 sizes smaller! I have big feet, size 10, yet the shoes look small. If this aspect appeals to you, this shoe is for you.

Comfy and stylish. I've not had these shoes long before writing this but they are really pretty and I think after a little breaking in will be very comfortable. Definitely order a HALF SIZE UP!

Cute shoe, not comfortable. I wanted to like these shoes, they are very cute. In the Born brand, I usually go up 1/2 size, which I did with these. The fit was o.k., but when I walked around in them, the toe bed hurt and I couldn't imagine walking any distance in them without being in pain. So, if you have a wider foot, they may not work for you. Very cute shoe, though.

These shoes are fantastic. Your foot feels bathed in soft supportive comfort and they look fabulous. The fit for me is true to size. Would highly recommend these shoes!

I just received these lovely Born shoes; they are absolutely lovely; very comfortable. The picture does not do these shoes justice. I got the brown and the brown is what I hoped the color would be; it is a beautiful dark chocolate brown just lovely. And the service from Zappos is the best I have ever had. I hope this place never closes. If it ever does, I would not know where to shop. I just love Zappos and the staff are wonderful. I ordered these shoes and they were here the next day; one day that was all. I was very surprised and happy to receive these wonderful very in style comfortable shoes. I couldn't be any happier then I am now. I just want to say one thing; I always take an 8 1/2, but I was reading some other testimonials and they said that they went up a half size.
