I can play music in my Blundstones! I play music professionally which involves standing on my feet with a 12 pound bass guitar on my shoulder for hours at a time. I've been searching for comfort and something in black that would hold up and not be a standard dress shoe and I found it. Great footbed. True to size. Not too hot on your toes. Very little fatigue while wearing them. I get the feeling they will last forever.
Brands I'd also recommend: The Blundstones in Brown!

Awesome!!! I am a 50 year young waiter on my feet running around hustling grub and grog. Have had these for about 4 years. Best footwear I've ever owned! Am going to get the (brown) 500 model for more color coordinated comfort. Rock on my peeps!
Brands I'd also recommend: Why bother with anything else, unless you find something better. Good luck!

Seriously Disappointed - First, the good stuff: These are much lighter on the foot than I expected, the soles are quite springy, and the overall look is attractive. Now, the not-good stuff (and why I'm sending these back): Don't know where Zappos got their size equivalents on these, but the 7.5 is absolutely NOT a Women's 11. I couldn't even get my foot into the boot with a sock on. A 10, maybe. But that's a fix-able issue...What's also not fixable is the poor quality construction--raw fabric edges, cheap lining materials, flimsy insoles, and rough seams inside that would chafe and fray. For the price of this short boot, I expect WAY better quality than this. Frankly, having now inspected a pair in person, I'm mystified by all the hoopla about what great shoes these are. I'm not even going to try to find a size to fit. They're not worth having.

Great boot, great looking! I bought this boot for my artist-professor husband, who is hard on shoes and also somewhat hard to fit. I bought the same size as his latest hiking boots, good decision. The first time he wore the new Blunnies; one of the boots rubbed the back of his heel and made a blister. Better socks, a shoe tree, and wearing them in solved that problem shortly and he is loving them now. He also gets favorable comments on them from his friends, who now want them! Well-made, good value.
Brands I'd also recommend: Blunnies are incomparable!

Best Boots! I am really impressed with these boots. The fit, style and comfort are perfect! I was hesitant to order without trying them on first, but with Zappos return policy and sizing chart, I felt more comfortable. They fit well the first time!

Blundstones are the best! Absolutely love my Blundstone boots. I have been wearing them for over 9 yrs. and have found them to be the best boot ever. I am a road musician and wear them everywhere. On the stage, walking the many city streets I visit (in all kinds of weather) and just lounging around. The cool thing is the weight. They feel like a slipper almost. Very easy to keep clean also. Blunnies rock! I am a 9 and 1/2, but go with the 10 US in this boot.

Blunnies are the best! This is my second pair, and I plan to buy a third pair in red. They're comfortable, durable, waterproof, and easy to put on and take off. What more can I say?

Recently purchased a pair of the 510s. I normally wear a US 11, the Blundstone 9.5 fit me perfectly with medium weight socks. Tried the Blundstone 10, was a little too big. From day one have had no issues with fit; as comfortable as slippers right out of the box. They are a little snug around the ankles, not too snug. Wearing them in light snow and slush, my feet remained dry and warm. I am an avid Clark Wallabee/Desert Boot wearer, can now add the Blundstones to my list of the most comfortable shoes on the planet. As always, Zappos service was awesome. Ordered the boots on a Saturday night, received them Monday afternoon. Now I think I need to get them in a few different colors.

I ordered these and they have quickly become my everyday boot. Can't say enough about the comfort level and ease of on off in these boots. I got trapped in some bad weather (rain) and the waterproofing is just as advertised. These boots are great. I would suggest you order a full size smaller than normal. I wear a 10 in every other shoe and my 9.5 are still a bit big but comfortable nonetheless.

I love my Blundstones. They are so comfortable. They are great for rainy days and muddy fields. As a fan of Doc Martens, these are in the same family. They are cool looking and good for your feet. Unfortunately, I am on my second pair because the soles on my first split. According to the reputation of this company, that really shouldn't happen. It's too hard to contact the company and return though, so I asked for a new pair as a gift. These are great shoes, as long as the sole split on my last pair was an anomaly.

I love these boots. Took them to NYC and walked all over the place in them, warm and comfortable with wool socks. Ran into rain and large puddles, no problem. These boots did not leak and they looked great the next day. Best purchase I've made in a long time. Love them!

Very comfortable, versatile, and great looking. Sizes are a bit tricky. After reading reviews. I bought a half size smaller than usual, but probably could have gone a whole size smaller.

I purchased my first pair of 500's back in 2006 whilst in Melbourne on business. After 3.5 years of steady wear, it was time to replace them. I love 500's. Once broken in, they are incredibly comfortable and very durable. For frequent travelers such as myself, their slip-on-off feature is very useful at airports. They may not be the prettiest boot out there, but they are definitely the most functional.

I've been yearning for a pair of Blundstones since I first saw them on a trip to Europe over ten years ago. Since that time I've moved to Alaska where it seemed they would be even more practical than in my native Texas. This year I finally decided to take the leap and order some I planned to use as work boots in an Alaskan office casual environment. I did a lot of research about the sizing, and even found a printable sizing tool, and came to the conclusion that I'm a solid Australian size 10. I don't think I've ever been so anxious for to get a pair of shoes in my life -- I checked the tracking information a couple times a day while I waited. When they finally arrived and I tried them on I was crushed. My long and very narrow feet swam in the boots. I imagined a tighter fit. But I realized the nine would be too short so I looked for solutions. I realized that some companies ship these boots with an insert to compensate for skinny footed people like myself, but my shipment didn't include this piece. Today I visited a Juneau ski shop and after the fellow there pulled the same style insert out of his boot fit kit and I threw it in my boot the shoe became the perfect fitting piece of foot gear I imagined it would be. So be advised, all the Aussie sites point out Blundstones are like clogs or outdoor sandals, and say be prepared for a loose fit, but if you aren't willing to accept that and you have thin feet you can snug them to a perfect glove-style fit with one two millimeter fit insert from your local boot or ski shop. Now that I've solved the wide shoe skinny foot problem I know I'll cherish these boots for years and already have my eyes on the brown version too. It's worth noting that I use Superfeet insoles on top of the insert and with that setup the boots have great arch support too.

My first pair of Blundstone's lasted over five years...these are my second pair. I love them, they are comfy and water resistant. Note that they are large for their size (assuming you make the normal AU->US size conversion) - they kind of assume that you are wearing thick socks. If you don't, you might want to order a 1/2 size smaller.

I purchased these boots from Zappos several weeks ago. They are my 3rd pair of Blundstones, but the first pair of 510's (black). Both previous pair had been the standard brown 500's. I wear Blundstones 90% of the time and over the years have come to appreciate their consistent quality, comfort, durability and good looks. With the purchase of the 510's, I've had my first taste of disappointment with their product. The 500's I own are Australian made. These 510's were produced elsewhere. This in itself wouldn't bother me, except that the quality of materials and build has suffered in the change. The leather is not as thick or well processed. It feels stiff and brittle - not supple like the 500's I've owned. I can't help but think that Blundstone has cheapened their product in order to hold costs down. I would prefer they raised the price and maintain their quality, as I can no longer recommend the 510's - especially for the price.

I have owned Blundstones before, but after 6 years of almost daily use, the soles began to fall off. I ordered a new pair and was frankly surprised that the 500 model was a much thinner leather than my original pair, which must have been a different model. The new ones are still very comfortable and I can wear them all day without my feet getting tired.
