Great Value! My daughter has been using these for a good month now, and has only very positive comments regarding them...even the appearance has been satisfactory. That is not an easy feat for a picky teenager, but her teacher has been full of praise for the sound compared to the other students. These also seem to be very comfy, and the best that we have found so far. We did order 1 1/2 size larger at our instructor's suggestion which has been great - got a narrow just to be sure that they wouldn't be outragous!

Split shoes - Followed the info and it was true that the shoe had to be ordered larger than it street size. I had to put in some arch supports to actually use the shoe since there seemed to be no support at all in the shoes. Being that this is my first year to tap I thought the taps sounded wonderful, compared to another pair I had purchased before.

Great shoe Beware, this shoe runs at least 1/2 size small. I normally wear a 9, but even the 9 1/2 was a bit close. If I wore heavier socks I would have considered a 10! Beyond that, the leather is soft and easy to break in. As with any split-sole tap, there is no arch support, but let's face it, you aren't walking miles in these shoes all day!

Good shoes - I found these shoes to be very comfortable, and to have very good arch support despite their split sole. The cutout for the ankle is nice. They are also very supportive for toe stands.

Love! I really enjoy my new tap shoes. They allow me to do toe stands with ease. I'm a clogger and these shoes help me on Irish steps especially. I would definitely recommend these shoes to anyone looking for new ones.

Awesome comfort - I purchased these shoes for my daughter and she said that they are so comfortable. The reason I chose Zappos is because of the guarantee. No other studio offered that, so I would have been stuck with them. Thank goodness for Zappos.

Tap shoes - I just started a beginning tap class and I find these to be very stable and comfortable. I bought a half size larger than my street shoes and they fit perfectly.

Overall Good Tap Shoe - This tap shoe was true to size and the split seam in at the heel is very comfortable. The lining is such that you don't have to wear a sock.

Bloch Tap - Flex - great shoe - My daughter who performs in song and dance shows practices about 1/2 hour per day and has weekly rehearsals lasting 2-3 hours. She loves the shoes and says they are comfortable to wear through long rehearsals and performances. They are flexible and have good sound. The screws keep the plates secure yet allow for movement. We would highly recommend these shoes.

Would definitely recommend - These shoes are so comfortable, took them straight out of the box and went to class, no breaking in, very flexible. Great sound. I've had several years of dance and didn't know what I have been missing since buying the Bloch shoe.

Good - I would buy these shoes with a half size larger than my usual size. Otherwise, I think this shoe is very good for beginners.

Good choice - The Bloch Tap-Flex is extremely comfortable, good looking and overall a great tap shoe. Just order one half size larger than your regular shoe size.

A wonderful shoe - This shoe is great! I'm a first-time tap dancer. The instant I put it on, it fit like a glove for my feet. The leather is soft, and it has enough flex to make heel drops and such easy to do. My feet didn't hurt at all after class (unlike the first pair of Mary Janes I had). I ordered a half size up, but might have been able to get the regular street shoe size.

Great tap shoes - I followed other reviews' advice and ordered a half size up, but I had to return them for my regular size; not sure if Bloch changed their sizing or if other people are wearing socks with their shoes (I just wear peds or tights). Super comfortable & I can't wait to wear them for tap class.
