Description
- The Bloch SFX Split Flex enables the dancer to better articulate as it works with the foot to provide a great range of movement and a beautiful, extended line when the dancer is pointing.
- A versatile character shoe, the SFX Split Flex I suitable for character dance and interdisciplinary demi-character work.
- Smooth leather upper.
- T-strap with adjustable buckle and small hidden elastic gore around ankle for a comfortable, personalized fit, allowing movement of the foot.
- Shorter shank and elastic goring that wraps around the underside of the shoe combine to enhance the dancer's pointe.
- External stabilizer reinforces the heel without compromising the flexibility of the shoe enabling the dancer to feel supported and secure.
- Soft leather lining.
- Cushioned insole for comfort.
- Suede forefoot outsole facilitates turning and sliding while providing some grip.
- This style runs smaller than marked. The manufacturer recommends going a half size larger than your normal size (if you are trying to accommodate a wide width, please order a full size larger than your normal size).

Bloch definitely runs small. Order at least a full size up, more if you are wearing any padding to protect feet while dancing.

First I ordered the 9M, which was FAR too small for my TRUE size 9M right foot (my left is a true 9.5M). Next, I exchanged for a 9.5M, which is still far too snug on my right foot. I have given up on this fantastic style due to frustration. I understand that dance shoes can vary in size, but never thought I'd have this much trouble finding a pair of shoes to fit. Another reason I'm giving up: these shoes would have been worn mainly for street use, and the soles likely would not have held up for long, given their intended use.

Love this shoe! The color is a bit lighter than shown which pleased me. I ordered a 1/2 size larger, but needed to go up a full size. Exchange was easy.

These shoes are very comfortable especially for \'older\' feet since they have nice support on the inside. I normally wear size 6.5 and I followed their suggestion an ordered a full size larger and they fit perfectly. They are comfortable with or without stockings. They came with plastics forms to keep them in perfect shape with a velvet bag for carrying them to and from your dancing events. I will buy my next pair from Zappos.

These shoes fit well size-wise but the left shoe rubbed on the back of my left foot the first few times that I wore them. But I used my hands to loosen the leather in that area and they feel great now and comfortable. I would buy another pair but I want brown not tan.

This is a fantastic shoe! I needs character shoes for a production I was in and these were perfect. We had a salsa number, a hoedown, and modern dancing along with the musical theater, and these did the trick for all of it. Very comfortable, they took virtually no time to break in. Extremely comfortable. As far as sizing goes, my foot fluctuates between a 7 and 7.5 and I order a 7.5. They fit perfectly. I also frequently experience a lot of foot pain due to my high arches, but these were incredibly comfortable and I could dance for hours without discomfort. Overall a fantastic, comfortable, versatile, sturdy shoe.
