I bought these for a 1930's musical I was performing in. They look super cute, the higher heel is flattering to the leg. They do run small. I normally wear a 7 and I went up to an 8 in these.

I am new to performance, so I tried some of the cheaper character shoes. These were way better! They are comfortable (in the right size -- go at least 1 full size up), they form to your foot because they are all leather, and they look good.

I read the reviews before purchasing and ordered a half size larger than street shoes. Fit is perfect and the shoe is flexible and comfortable. No "breaking period" needed.

These shoes are great. They are flexible which makes them great for dancing. I ended up getting my normal shoe size (by going off the sizing chart) and while they're tight initially they fit perfectly after breaking them in.

Very high quality shoe that fit well after reading the reviews (ordered a wide and a 1/2 size larger). Shoe color is lighter than the picture. Extremely comfortable shoes, especially after dancing for many hours.

No need to break this shoe in! I've never worn such a comfortable dance shoe. They came straight out the box, onto my feet, and we were on the dance floor. I love the easy buckle and the spilt sole. I only wish it had an option for a higher heel. Besides that, these shoes are ideal!

I've had these shoes for almost a month now, and I love them! They are so beautiful and really show foot articulation, unlike some other character shoes. I followed other reviewers' advice and ordered up a half size. I'm a little concerned that they might stretch out a little bit, but so far they're staying true to when I got them.

This is a great shoe for theatrical productions. Many of the dancers I work with love the way this shoe feels and how it allows you to actually point your toe. The sole is suede and great for dance, yet easy to rubber if that is what is needed. I love that it comes in black, too, and that it is easy to paint. However, this shoe really is a full half size smaller than what it is marked. If you wear a size 7, you must get a 7.5 or it will not fit you. Trust me. I've ordered this shoe over 20 times. Dancers love it, but you need that half size bigger to make it fit!

This is my second pair. This first I bought in nude. They are one full size larger than I wear. I normally wear a size 9. Suede bottoms allow you to spin with ease. The elastic on the side enable you to stay on the balls of your feet.

This is my second pair of these shoes, my first pair was black. I still have both and wear both. They are amazing dance shoes, especially for the price. I love that I can point my foot in a heel! The only downside is that the strap can wear down with repeated wear from the quick change clasp, but you have to wear them a lot. Also the sole of shoe is suede, not rubber. I love them!

So far it looks to be the most comfortable character shoe I've ever had. Soft, supple leather, and shows the full articulation of your point. Super flexible sole. I stuck with a full size larger than my street shoes to accommodate swelling feet while dancing.

I've gone way too long trying to Tango in my street shoes! Then I found Zappos.com. Since my feet are very difficult to find comfortable shoes for, I was afraid dancing shoes were going to also be cruel shoes. Wrong. Since Zappos had an informative video showing the bells and whistles that the Bloch SFX Split Flex shoe has, I ordered them with hope that I could learn to dance without foot pain distractions. I did order a half size larger than I normally wear and they are great. The return policy was helpful also. The first pair I ordered were my street shoes size, They were a half size too small. I reordered another pair a half size larger and they are perfect. I'm impressed with Zappos.com, try it.

These are by far the most attractive and best made character dance shoes we have found, and we think they are worth the extra cost. They are so soft and flexible, unlike most others, that they barely need to be worn before dancing in them comfortably. Also, they are not slippery as bottoms have suede and plastic grip on heal. Although the heal is relatively high, the comfort and design make them not feel high. They fit a wide foot well. Order full size up from street shoe.

I ordered these for salsa dancing, along with many other styles of dance shoes, and chose these because they offered the best support. The strappy styles of other salsa shoes just didn't offer enough support. This shoe feels sturdy yet flexible and sleek. It also has more cushioning at the ball of the foot than most other salsa shoes. I normally wear a 10.5 in dance shoes and ordered an 11 in these. They fit perfect. They're definitely snug, but not tight - just how a dance shoe should be. In terms of width, I have wide feet and these fit perfect in the width, probably due to the elastic on either side.
