I bought these shoes for zumba. They made me dance so much better because I can easily pivot in them. I have noticed for the higher impact dance I need to wear cushy socks because there isn't much cushioning in the shoe itself. I do love the flexibility of the shoe as well.

I ordered a size 8 but should have ordered 8 1/2. I usually wear a 6 1/2 in regular shoes. These shoes or of great quality and make line dancing a lot easier. They don\'t make me a pro but nothing can do that. Ha

I read all the reviews and thought "oh, one size up should be plenty". Wrong! Definitely a size and a half. They're great shoes to dance in.

Bought these a size and a half bigger, going according to the previous reviews. They are at least a half size too big. They\'re pointier in the toes than I like. I\'m going to send them back; haven\'t worn them at all. I like the color, though.

Wow! After trying Nike Threads, Air Troupe, Cameos, Musiques, Danskin Felecity, Capezio dancesneakers, you name it, I felt like I'd never find the best shoe for Zumba. Until I read about these Blochs. As a Zumba instructor, I need to be able to pivot and not have any issues with my knees. (No one wants that!) These are so light, comfy and great right out of the box. My only request would be a better selection of colors; they are a bit dull for Zumba!

Additional Brand Information

Bloch’s philosophy of listening to dancers is still as strong today as it was when Jacob Bloch made his first pair of pointe shoes in 1932. Bloch arrived from Europe in 1931 at the height of the Great Depression and began making shoes by hand in the workshop where he lived.

Bloch loved watching ballet and visited many dance studios. At one such studio, he noticed a young dancer who was having trouble staying on pointe. Bloch promised he would make her a better pair of shoes, and so he did. After that, Bloch’s reputation for making good dance shoes spread rapidly.

At Bloch, the respect the company has for its clients' art is infinite. Contributing to a dancer's artistry, in even the slightest way is the ultimate Bloch goal. Admittedly jealous of their clients' artistic ability, Bloch is proud to contribute confidence and beauty through the best dance footwear in the world.

I should have been more leery of a product that reviewers were suggesting to buy two sizes larger than "normal," but so many people liked this shoe, and I want a shoe for Zumba class, so I decided to try it. I usually wear a 7-1/2 but occasionally an 8; so I ordered the 8-1/2 (never in my life have I even tried on an 8-1/2). They do have a lot of arch support, but it is in the wrong place for my foot. I kept wanting to push my heel back to the rear of the shoe (nowhere to go!) to get the arch support to meet my foot, but that just wasn't going to happen. A larger size would not have solved the problem, but a smaller size would have been too short. Needless to say, these are weirdly sized shoes, and I have to second guess the professionalism of a shoe manufacturer who is that far off the mark. (I'm just sayin'.) These pups are on their way back to Zappos and I have a pair of Capezios on route that I'll give a try. I'm hoping they work because I really need a new pair of gym shoes for Zumba! Thanks Zappos for making the return so easy! As always, "I'll be baaack!"

These shoes were bought for Zumba! They are perfect. Flexible, slick on the bottom and are very comfortable. No more knee pain. These shoes keep you turning and doing all the quick steps in Zumba without any problems. I don't wear them outside at all, only in the gym. Be prepared to wear other shoes and change into these upon arrival. Try them, you will not be disappointed.

These shoes provide excellent arch support, whether you need it or not. I ordered a 1/2 size up from my regular sneaker (1 size up from street shoes) and they fit perfectly. They are very light weight and perfect for Zumba. The pink is more of a "baby light pink" different than what it appears on my computer screen.

I love these shoes. I usually take a 10M & I bought an 11.5 & they were too big. I ordered an 11 & they're a perfect fit. I use them for Zumba dance aerobics. I find they allow easier pivoting with less stress on my knees. And of course Zappos' easy no hassle return policy made the exchange a breeze!

I love these shoes for zumba classes. They do run small. I normally wear a size 9 and I originally purchased a size 9.5. I had to exchange them for a larger size. I ended up with a 10.5 and they fit wonderfully! So, order a size or size and 1/2 larger than what you normally would wear. They have great support for my pronated feet and are wonderful for jumping and pivoting. Better than Nike Musique that I had last time. Blochs are worth every penny. Also, Zappos customer service was absolutely fantastic! She helped me with the return and there were no problems with that. I didn't have to pay an extra dime for the return and exchange. Plus, she shipped the new ones 2 day air no cost to me. They are wonderful. I will purchase from Zappos.com next time I need any shoes. I have hard to fit feet that are very sensitive, so I normally shop at Nordstrom where they have a great return policy. I have to wear shoes for a day or so to see if they are going to hurt my feet or not. I still have to wear shoes from Zappos.com in the house and not outside to check comfort (unlike Nordstrom), but their return policy is outstanding. Highly recommended!

PLEASE READ THIS FIRST, CHANGE. Please note that the sizing has changed for this model. The older review posts say to buy 1-2 sizes larger but now they no longer run that small. I ordered a 10 and my friend has an older pair in a 10 1/2 and her sneakers are much SMALLER than mine even though the label says otherwise. I wear a size 9 shoe, so now the 10 is way to big. I am returning them to get a 9 1/2 and if they are still too big will have to get a 9. The service is wonderful and the sneakers are wonderful too. I would definitely buy them again to be used for a Latin Fusion Pachanga dance aerobics class and for a Zumba class.

The shoes fit very well. I ordered a half size larger than for regular shoes and that was the correct size. I use them for Israeli dancing and they are comfortable even after 4 hours of dancing

Very comfortable dance shoe; prefer them over the Capezio Mesh, which happened to rip on me. Hard at first; had to break them in a little bit. Good arch support.

I bought these for Zumba, I had previously bought a different style of Bloch shoes but the toe ripped out after about a month. These work great, I think they have more cushioning than the others and it's much easier to do turns and spins. I did order one size up from my regular shoe size and they fit perfect....great shoe for Zumba!

These shoes are great! I put them on to see if they fit and didn't take them off the rest of the day! Also great for "Zumba".

I love these shoes for zumba! My regular sneakers would grip the floor, but these are great for turns. I ordered a size larger since I have wide feet and they fit great.

I wear an 8 wide and purchased these shoes in a size 9 for Jazzercise. I have plenty of toe room and probably could have gone with an 8 1/2, but I am still very satisfied with the 9s. For those of you with wide feet, these should definitely work for you. I have to buy all of my athletic type shoes in a wide size, but decided to go out on a limb with these since wide is not available. I was wearing my Asics running shoes to Jazzercise and the bulkiness and traction on them made me feel like I was sticking to the hardwood floors, and I felt as though I looked pretty clumsy in them. These shoes make me feel lighter on my feet. I am 100% satisfied with these! Highly recommend for dance aerobics.

I love these shoes, with some qualifications. I am wondering if I am using them for the wrong type of dancing. I am finding that for hip-hop, they are a bit sticky on the floor for me, and too flexible. But for Zumba dancing, they are okay. But I do love the style, and they are fun. I love the pink color. I did end up buying another pair of cheering-style shoes that are easier for me to move in while doing hip-hop dancing. I switch back and forth.

These shoes are awesome. I looked and looked for shoes for Zumba - ones that were comfortable and had the circle on the bottom - to twist and turn - these are perfect! I always wear a 7 1/2 and that is what I got in these. They are OK but an 8 might have worked better. Anyway, I love them and get a million compliments on them - the PINK ones!
