One of the best hiking shorts I've tried ever. There are only two best, and these are one. The fit will work for most people.

These fit true to size and are very comfortable, but I returned them because I was hoping they would fit more like a skinny pant. I'm 5'4", approx 112 lbs and ordered a size 2 and intended to use these for work and rock climbing. Even if I had these hemmed, they'd still look nothing like they do on the models shown - they fit more like an unflattering bootleg, but were very comfy and great quality.

Loose fitting but not baggy. I'm quite short, and it hits low on my hips, which is good for somebody trying to hide her middle age spread.

This amazing supper comfy hoodie, has no pockets! I was so disappointed. How can a hoodie be with no pockets. Where are you going to warm your hands? It it wasn't for that, it would be the best hoodie. Had to return it though, because for this price I'd like to be comfortable and warm my hands.

My hands are always cold in the winter and these really helped. I went sledding all day this past winter and was fine the entire time. The leather Palm area helps for grasp items a bit as well.

The folding mechanism lends a wide width to the collapse poles. Unless you have a way to attach them externally to your pack, or your pack is roomy, these will take up a lot of space when not in use. It is not easy to quickly adjust length when you come upon scrambles or other places where they are going to be more an encumbrance than an aide. The wrist straps are wide and hard to get under your grip, which I am advised is the best way to avoid stress on your wrists. They are light, however, and only my first attempt at using trek poles, so not experienced enough yet. But as a petite (5'0") hiker, I am looking for something compact and lightweight.

Let me list the number of gloves/mittens that I purchased before settling on the Mercury mitts! I was very concerned about warm hands while skiing. In the end, I chose these gloves because: 1. They were mittens: told that mittens are the warmest option. 2. The pointer finger option: liked that I could separate out my pointer in the liner for greater dexterity. 3. Liner removable: I wanted the option to dry faster, clean separate pieces, and layer a different liner. 4. Fit: I also really loved some other mitts that had super soft liners, but these mitts fit the best. These mitts do fit over your coat, which were not the optimal for me, but turned out fine. I also wish that the mitts had touch technology but that is still pretty hard to find it good gloves and mittens.

These mitts are exactly what I've been looking for. Because of peripheral neuropathy, my hands have been extremely sensitive to the cold. They kept my fingers warm while I wa cleaning away the record snows in very cold conditions here in New England. The mitts have a soft thick liner that truly envelopes the hand, The only negative aspect has been that finding the hole for the thumb is not easy. I consider that to be extremely minor. If warmth is what you want, I highly recommend these.

I bought this item about one year ago at the time of this review. I use it everyday and stuff it to the brim with books, clothes, etc. This pack shows no sign of quitting. Zippers and elastics are in great condition. For my use, it would be slightly better if the front anterior and interior pockets were bigger. It does not show dirt easily. This pack is well worth the price. I have not figured out how to easily use the front straps. They are not elastic. Rather, a drawstring mechanism is used to secure items.

I love these. I have small hands but the xs fit perfectly. I wear them with a pair of knit gloves when it's zero out and they work great. when it's a little warmer I can wear them alone. I walk my dog quite a bit and love the dexterity they have even though they are a mitten.

I have been looking for warm gear to cover my hands in winter for a long time! I have worn gloves that were supposed to be warm but they failed me! So I decided that it was time to go to the mitts! These are highly rated for a reason. They are warm, comfortable and fit over my Arctyrex Fission SV sleeves perfectly. The mitt has a separate space if you choose to use it for your index finger as well. You won't have the same dexterity in these as you would gloves, ie. cannot even zip my jacket until they loosened up a bit. But for warmth - these are primo! I would highly recommend them. The fit is true to size. I always wear size L in a glove and the L fit me fine in these.

I really wanted to like these gloves, but the outside of my hands could feel the cold coming in by the seams and they felt slightly tight (size m). They are a nice glove and liked the leather palm and touch finger tip, so would probably still be a great glove for runners or people whose hands don't run cold.

These aren't the warmest winter convertible gloves I've ever had but aren't advertised as such either. Seamless and comfortable protection they provide are perfect for any occasion after the first two chilly months of this Iowa winter. I do feel more comfortable using $10 fingerless gloves for day to day use but we'll see how they hold up in every day use over the next couple years.

Mixed feelings. Like because it's warm so in these cold months I use them at home (our house is old and cold). Don't like because it doesn't come in PETITE or xsmall sizes. Small Petite would have been perfect. I even threw this in the wash under hot water and dried it permanent press style so it shrank but still floppy on butt area. Before my shrinking experiment, it was floppy on butt and sides (IT band sections). I just went this past week to REI and found a great pant that fit perfectly. It was in Small Petite. AND it was way cheaper than this Black Diamond. Black Diamond add petites to your size repertoire and add xsmall as well. Too bad I got rid of packaging so I can't return it. I'm planning to buy another REI pant.

These are very warm pants. They fit close to the body without being too tight. I wish they were high rise waist rather than mid-waist so my flab would not hang out. But I'm very pleased overall. However, the item info says there is a back zippered pocket; there is no pocket in mine.

Dedicated day-hiker for fun and fitness (lost 35 lbs in 3 months!). Anyway, with 4-5 hikes per week, with my boots and socks being stored in my trunk, I was getting a lot of leaves, bark, and dirt down the tops of my boots, which were rubbing my skin, and it was probably doing slight damage to the Gore-Tex interior of my boots. I decided to give gaiters a try to remedy this. I started with the Outdoor Research Bug-Out gaiters. The OR Bug-Outs work fine, but they seem like just too much fabric. They would get quite dirty and would often rub against each other. I decided a smaller gaiter was in order. I found the Black Diamond Talus on Amazon, and gave them a try. These work effectively. As mentioned before, I'm not using them for deep snow, just tree-related detritus wrecking my socks and boot interiors. The tops of my socks tend to extend 1" or so above the gaiters, which is fine, I'd rather have the socks in contact with my skin than the grippy top hem of the gaiters. Also, I think that my feet and ankles sweat more than they would if I weren't wearing them, but that's the trade off; at the end of a long hike, I would rather have sweatier socks than dirtier socks. As for the appearance: these do not cut a slim profile. They appear a bit boxy, but they do not rub together, and they DEFINITELY keep the junk out of my boots. I give them 5 stars overall, because they perform their function well. For comfort, I give them 4 stars, but honestly, are gaiters supposed to be comfortable? They keep junk out of my boots, thus keeping me comfortable. For style, 3 stars. These are not a fashion item, but they do look a bit boxy, I feel a bit dorky in them, but I'm out in the woods hiking. As mentioned these are slimmer/better looking than the OR Bug-Outs, that's for sure. I recommend the Black Diamond Talus gaiters. I may try an even tighter/slimmer gaiter, like a trail running gaiter, but for now, these work well and I'm satisfied.

I have a Black Diamond Nitro that is 27 L and is a beautiful, functional pack, so I thought I'd try this one, since I was looking for something smaller and lighter in weight. Yes, this is lighter. Yes, it has the pockets I wanted, but the back padding is truly minimal, and wouldn't really hold up for daily use for very long. The front webbing is a ribbon-like material, not a bungy cord like I thought. It's really lightweight if that's what you're looking for, for ocassional hiking. Any serious hiking would work this pack to the bone in no time flat. Just not enough substance there. I do like the Black Diamond EXL, which is a similar size/weight, but more substantial in quality.

I purchased this bag to use in the Merrell Down and Dirty mud run Brick Division where they place 5 bricks totaling 25 lbs in you bag that you carry through the entire 3 mile course through the mud, over walls, through inner tubes,in a water and cargo nets. I picked this one because of the chest and waist straps does added support. It held up like a freakin' trooper and now looks brand new after washing...highly recommend!

Great liner that can hold their own by themselves or work great simply as a liner. The touchscreen tips aren't noticeable like other gloves either. Very warm, comfortable, and windproof.

I own this and the Black Diamond Voyager. The Titan is very bright and is an excellent base camp lantern. I love the collapsing design and two part handle that allows you to hang it from a loop without a carabiner. I actually like the way Voyager reflects light and it's more compact size better. But if you need a really bright lantern that is relatively compact, the Titan is for you!

Best Mitt/glove combo I have ever owned. If you want to stay warm (mitt) and still have the dexterity of the inner gloves, you've gotta get these. I use them for fly fishing in Montana in winter. Buy 'em...now!
