Great gloves, shield from the wind and can fit another pair of gloves underneath for added warmth. Bought a second pair when I lost the first!

In the past, I have owned the Black Diamond Icon and Black Diamond Storm (not the 2016 Storm). Although I like the light on the Spot, I dislike the band. Unlike my other two headlamps, when I take off the Spot, the band loosens. I also dislike all the dots on the band, but the reason I'm returning it is due to the loosening of the band. Maybe it's just me, I don't know. It's annoying. Back it goes to Zappos. I loved the light on the Icon, but due to an old neck injury, I didn't like the weight of the battery pack. I wanted to try the 2016 Storm, but I won't since the band looks the same as the Spot. I guess I will be walking in the dark. I think the name on the band is reflective, FYI.

They fit well and were comfortable. They look good, too. But ultimately they weren't quite warm enough for me. The gauntlets also were not large enough to easily fit over the sleeves of my winter jacket. Maybe I'm particularly sensitive to cold, although I have never been diagnosed with Raynaud's. I found a discontinued 800-fill down mitt from a major competitor and now I'm happy.

Love these hiking poles with shock absorbers. Very comfortable and easy to collapse with the sturdy lever clips when you need to use both hands on rocky terrain. Bought mine last year and used them on too many hikes to count, so they are now pretty scratched up. My friend bought the same pair and loves hers too. Still trying to figure out what's the difference for a left and right pole (which they have labeled), but other than that, they are amazing.

Had been looking for mittens that were warm, comfy and yet not bulky. Saw these, the price was right, had my size so I hit the order button. These are perfect for me, I only wish they came in other colors, so I could buy more. It has been cold here in NYC this winter, I will make good use of these. This is the glove I wanted!

These gloves are so soft and warm. I normally have to order bigger gloves. I ordered a large based on the reviews and they were still too big. If you like big and comfortable gloves, these are for you. Whatever size you think you are, order one size smaller.

I had high hopes for these gloves but they are disappointing. I bought them for downhill skiing at Breckenridge where it always seems to be exceedingly cold. Perhaps its me but these are not the warmest gloves ever. The two days I used them the temps where in the teens and my hands were cold, even after stuffing a warmer between the inner glove and the shell. The good - well made and nice fit, the gauntlet extends well above the wrist. The bad - pretty stiff and hard to hold ski poles, no loop to keep gloves on wrists when you need to take them off for a second.

I've owned 5 pairs of BD gloves, and a size large has always fit me well. They are all of great quality, but I've always come back to the brand. Black Diamond has made a serious mistake in releasing the latest version of this glove. I've ordered both a large and an extra large, and neither fit. I'll be looking for gloves from a different maker from now on. I would strongly recommend not ordering this product.

I finally got to try these out today, snowblowing in 24 degrees, and they did keep my hands warm. (I'm waiting for a day that's much colder to really test them.) My fingers do get cold easily, and these so far do the trick. So with regard to warmth, I give them 5 stars. As for fit, be careful, as they seem to run quite small. Before buying, I went to the Black Diamond website for a sizing chart, and if I had followed it I would have bought a Small. Instead, I bought a Medium -- and it was very tight. I since exchanged it for a Large, and it is a much better fit for me, albeit a little *too* large. They're fine, though. There are complaints about the separator for one's index finger. It is a nuisance, I agree, but you do not need to put your index finger into it. You can just keep four fingers together, separate from your thumb. I would use the separator in cases where I need extra dexterity, but don't count on these do give you much in that department. Thus I gave 3 stars for "comfort." As you can see from the picture, the cuffs go pretty far up above the wrist, and that's good. I guess, then, "style" rates a 5. I'm very pleased with these mittens. I suffered long enough with ones that were inadequate.

I got both of my boys a pair of these gloves for Christmas. They love them!!! Very warm and high quality. One son works at an ice rink and the other is an avid skier and they are both more than pleased!

Really comfortable. The padding in these are thick. It also comes with Nikwax, to replenish the waterproofing when needed. Make sure to buff or get a rag and try to dry as much as you can. Let sit for a day or two to completely dry. Its still going to have a light residue on it and the smell. Not that bad. Fits true to size.

The powerful light put out by these is almost too much for night hiking and most definitely take careful consideration when wearing around other people, but it's great to have the extra when needed in such a light package! The variable red light without having to worry about accidentally cycling through the white is invaluable for astronomy. 4 batteries are heavy on the forehead, but to get this strength otherwise would mean having the batteries elsewhere. My only general complaint about the workings of this headlamp is that the white light starts out blinding and has to be dimmed down. It would be better the other way. My specific complaint is that I purchased two and after just a few uses it went wonky. If I didn't carry an emergency spare, I would have been in big trouble on my midnight 8 mile hike. It suddenly went out. After playing around with button, I got it to come on again, but it went out again after a few flickers and never came back on even after changing batteries, the fiddling of various people, carful reading of instructions. The indicator and lock light came on, but that was it. I will continue to carry a spare for something with this much fussiness, but at times when I am likely to just take one, this won't be it.

My hands are always cold in the winter and these really helped. I went sledding all day this past winter and was fine the entire time. The leather Palm area helps for grasp items a bit as well.

These mitts are exactly what I've been looking for. Because of peripheral neuropathy, my hands have been extremely sensitive to the cold. They kept my fingers warm while I wa cleaning away the record snows in very cold conditions here in New England. The mitts have a soft thick liner that truly envelopes the hand, The only negative aspect has been that finding the hole for the thumb is not easy. I consider that to be extremely minor. If warmth is what you want, I highly recommend these.

I love these. I have small hands but the xs fit perfectly. I wear them with a pair of knit gloves when it's zero out and they work great. when it's a little warmer I can wear them alone. I walk my dog quite a bit and love the dexterity they have even though they are a mitten.

I have been looking for warm gear to cover my hands in winter for a long time! I have worn gloves that were supposed to be warm but they failed me! So I decided that it was time to go to the mitts! These are highly rated for a reason. They are warm, comfortable and fit over my Arctyrex Fission SV sleeves perfectly. The mitt has a separate space if you choose to use it for your index finger as well. You won't have the same dexterity in these as you would gloves, ie. cannot even zip my jacket until they loosened up a bit. But for warmth - these are primo! I would highly recommend them. The fit is true to size. I always wear size L in a glove and the L fit me fine in these.

I really wanted to like these gloves, but the outside of my hands could feel the cold coming in by the seams and they felt slightly tight (size m). They are a nice glove and liked the leather palm and touch finger tip, so would probably still be a great glove for runners or people whose hands don't run cold.

These aren't the warmest winter convertible gloves I've ever had but aren't advertised as such either. Seamless and comfortable protection they provide are perfect for any occasion after the first two chilly months of this Iowa winter. I do feel more comfortable using $10 fingerless gloves for day to day use but we'll see how they hold up in every day use over the next couple years.

Great liner that can hold their own by themselves or work great simply as a liner. The touchscreen tips aren't noticeable like other gloves either. Very warm, comfortable, and windproof.

Best Mitt/glove combo I have ever owned. If you want to stay warm (mitt) and still have the dexterity of the inner gloves, you've gotta get these. I use them for fly fishing in Montana in winter. Buy 'em...now!

These are pretty nice gloves/mittens. They allow you to quickly flip up and text or email. They are a little thick -- as in better for working on a car than just tooling around.
